DMS looked hurt but he kept quiet and didn’t say anything about it.
Lei: “Sure, waiter.”
Waiter: “Hua Ze Lei shao ye, what you would want to order?”
San Cai: “Get me some red wine.”
DMS and Lei were both surprised: “You drink wine now?!”
San Cai smiled: “Yea, it’s relaxing.”
DMS: “You’ve really changed”
Xiao You came back to their table at that moment, her face was all red and glistening with sweat. Her whole body flushed from the heat, but it only made her look sexier than ever.
Nick: “Xiao You, you were a big hit up there.”
Xiao You grinned: “Well you were my partner, so I owe you half the credit.”
Suddenly two figures appeared behind them, it was Xi Men with his arms draped around a slutty looking girl.
Xi Men: “Did Mei Zuo come back yet?”
San Cai: “No, but I hope he wins the bet.”
Xi Men frowned: “Hey, why side with him?”
San Cai: “Duh, because you have hurt my best friend a lot in the past.”
Xi Men: “I…”
Xiao You: “San Cai, that was the past, I don’t care anymore. We promised to forget the past remember?”
San Cai forced a weak smile: “Yea, I guess you’re right.”
Xi Men’s POV: The past is the past? So I’m also part of the past, huh? I…you don’t know how much you mean to me, Xiao You…
MZ appeared right on cue when there was a tense silence: “Xi Men, I see you’ve got a girl, mine is prettier.”
Xi Men hugged his mei mei closer and he swore he saw a glint of jealousy in Xiao You’s eyes. Or was it just him? His heart thumped as he saw her beautiful eyes look at him with hurt.
Xiao You’s POV: What is the matter with me? Why am I jealous? I cant be, I have to forget! I have to, I cant love him anymore…
XM: “No, mine is hotter.”
MZ: “Everyone, this is Jo.”
XM: “And this is Alexandra.”
There seemed to be a mumble of greets.
DMS: “You two are going to bring your mei meis for the whole vacation?”
Xi Men: “Yup, one week.”
MZ grinned: “Actually, one and a half.”
Xi Men shrugged carelessly: “So, there are plenty of New York chicks waiting for me.”
Alexandra clears her throat: “I’m still here you know.”
Xi Men gave her a peck on the cheek: “I’ll be a good one week lover for you.”
MZ: “Let’s head back to the hotel now.”
San Cai: “Yea, It’s late.”
~HOTEL~
MZ and Jo shared one room, Xi Men and Alexandra shared one, Xiao You and Nick shared one, San Cai, Lei and DMS each got a separate one.
DMS didn’t know why but he felt so relieved when he saw that San Cai and Lei werent going to share a room. Not that they are in that relationship anyways. MZ and XM’s room were across from each other, Xiao You and Nick’s were next to Xi Men’s, Lei was next to MZ, San Cai was in between Lei and DMS.
There happened to be a lot of parks in New York, at night it was all deserted. And there so happens to be a huge deserted park a couple of blocks away from their hotel. That night, Xi Men brought a whole box of beer and went to drink in the park.
He wasint interested in his mei mei, he had no intentions or desires of going to bed with her. Because his heart belonged to only one girl…Xiao You. Xi Men actually felt scared how hard he fell for her, even though he knew he could never have a chance…
Xi Men was surprised to see someone already at the park. A girl with long hair blowing in the wind sat calmly on the swing. She was deep in thought and wore a simple white strapped dress. She looked like an angel from above, she had a heavenly aura around her…it was Xiao You.
Xi Men was startled and glad that he saw her there. He was relieved that she wasint “sleeping” with Nick tonight and glad for some company.
“Can I sit here?” a deep male’s voice inturuppted Xiao You from her thoughts.
She jumped a little and then nodded: “Xi Men?”
Xi Men sat down on the swing next to Xiao You: “So, um…”
“Arent you suppose to be with your mei mei?” Xiao You cut in a bit of coldness in her voice
Xi Men: “I, uh…she fell asleep already.”
“Oh really, most girls’d do anything to get into bed with Xi Men.” Xiao You said sarcastically
“Would you?” Xi Men asked, surprised even at himself how that question suddenly popped out of his mouth. He was a bit hurt of what Xiao You said before
That question caught her off guard but she kept calm: “I did…but you rejected me.”
Xi Men’s POV: I wish I didn’t, I wish I didn’t reject you, I wish I didn’t turn you away…I wish I didn’t let you go.
Xi Men saw Xiao you shivering because of the cold from the corner of his eyes.
“Are you cold?” he asked
Xiao You bit her lip and nodded. Xi Men reached over and wrapped one arm around her shoulder and gave it a warm squeeeze, Xiao You lifted her head up to stare at Xi Men. She saw his masculine features, even in the dark, his muscular chest and arms, his square jaw, his soft long hair, his curved lips, his beautiful pained eyes…
Xi Men stared longingly back at her, they both lean in closer and closer to each other, unknowingly
Xi Men’s and Xiao You’s POV: God, are we going to kiss?
Xiao You suddenly snaps out of the trance and stands up: “I’ve got to get back to Nick.”
Xi Men: “Xiao You…”
But Xiao You already left with tears brimming her eyes. “You pushed me away, you rejected me, Xi Men…” she thought
“Did you know, my biggest regret was letting you go…” Xi Men murmured as a tear formed and slid down his handsome face. The first tear he shed for a woman, a tear of desire, longing, want, pain, hurt, and love.
“I love you, XiaoYou…” Xi Men muttered out loud for the first time ever, but there was no one to witness or hear that.
