Aaron just looks down at their shadows and sighs, "maybe cause my shadow was always there so you didn't have the chance to miss me."
She looked back at their shadows. This was the same spot where he had given it to her as a birthday present. She just slowly began to smile.
He made shadow puppets with his hands to entertain her. Ghost couldn't help but laugh as he did so. After one year of departing, they have a chance to reunite their friendship. As for love... they'll have to wait and see what comes their way.

Aaron is sitting in class quietly as the students around them were talking.
Wang Zi rushes up to him and quickly puts his arm around his shoulders, "ey, are you and Ghost progressing yet?"
Aaron was confused, "progressing?" He thought about it, "no."
Wang Zi then sighs, "aiya, I swore I saw you two sitting outside last night. Wasn't it?"
He smiles Ghostltily, "I just came to see her after one year... it's nothing big--"
"Nothing big?" Wang Zi questions, "don't you like Ghost?"
Aaron blushes and nods, "of course. But... Ghost doesn't regret not liking me."
"Doesn't regret not liking you?" Ya Tou quickly turns around and looks at them, "that's a good sign then!"
"Good sign?" Aaron questions, "really?"
She nods, "if she regrets not liking you it means she's given up hope, but because she doesn't regret it yet you still have a chance to make her yours."
Wang Zi agreed, "I think you need to study more."
"Study? But I'm already in the top five--"
"I meant about Ghost," he says with a grin, "since me and Ya Tou are her good friends, we'll tell you all you need to know."
"Really? Everything?"
Both of them nods in agreement.

Ghost swings her legs back and forth as she sat at the bus stop.
Joanne rushes towards her as she got out of the car, "going home? Let's go together then."
Ghost looked at her strangely, "don't you live that way? Why are you going home with me?"
She just continues to smile, "it's nothing. I just don't want to go home and here Mike complaining about his face. That girl sure is fierce."
Ghost just looked down, "wait till you see the three of them--"
"Where's your boyfriend?"
"Boyfriend?" Ghost question and then laughs to herself, "you mean Wang Zi? He's not my boyfriend, he's just a good friend of mine."
"Really? But it seemed like you really liked him."
Ghost didn't know how to answer. Of course she liked Wang Zi, but suddenly that feeling has become so casual it just became unusually normal.
"I want to go to the mall, will you accompany me again?"
"The mall?" Ghost chuckles, "sorry, I don't like shopping."
"Really?" Joanne sighs, "then I won't go shopping then too. What else do you like to do for fun?"
Ghost thought about it, "do you like to barbeque?"
"Barbeque?"

"Yay!" Ghost exclaims happily as her mother roasts the chicken on the grill. "My mom's cooking is the best," she tells Joanne.
Joanne just drools looking at it.
"Ghost," her mom says, "why don't you invite Wang Zi to join as well."
"Wang Zi?" Ghost thought, "ok," she then walks to the front yard, out their gate and next door to ring the doorbell from the gate of Wang Zi's house.
"Yes?" Their maid answers.
"Ah is this auntie Lu? Is Wang Zi there this is Ghost."
"Yes come in."
Once she hears the loud buzzer, the gate was opened and she entered in.
"What's her favorite flower?" Ya Tou questions Aaron.
He thought about it once more, "something... it's... uh--"
"She doesn't have one," Wang Zi repeats again, "she doesn't have one."
Aaron then said it after, "she doesn't have one."
"Bingo!" Ya Tou exclaims, "why?"
Aaron thought about it again, "why... why..."
"Because she's allergic," Wang Zi answers.
Aaron repeats after him, "she's allergic."
"Right again!" Ya Tou then asks the next question, "why is her name Ghost?"
Aaron answers without hesitation, "because she scared the doctor when she was born!"
Wang Zi then claps, "one right so far."
Ghost then comes by Wang Zi's bedroom door and knocks, "why do I hear my name so much in here?"
All of them look at her anxiously, "Ghost!" They all rush to her for a hug, but Aaron beats them to it and hugs her first.
Ghost felt her heart beating faster, she quickly pushes him away and sighs, "did I say you could hug me?" she found an excuse to say, "move..." She looked at Wang Zi, "we're doing a barbeque, do you guys want to join us?"
"Sure!"

"Auntie," Joanne says delightfully as she took a bit of the grilled chicken having her face smothered in the thick sauce, "it's delicious!"
She just laughs, "thanks. Have some more."
"It's smells good!" Ya Tou says as she enters into the back yard.
"Ah, Ya Tou you're here too, Wang Zi," she says greeting them, she then sees Aaron who was tagging along Ghost. She just smiles, "isn't this the young man that came all the way to Shanghai?"
Ghost shook her head, "he's not." She then pushes him away, "if you talk I'll go back to Shanghai first thing in the morning," she threatens him and sits down next to her mom.
"I want some," Wang Zi says smelling the aroma, "auntie, it's been a while since I've eaten your cooking. Don't mind me ok?"
"Of course," she says with a bright smile.
When the sun gone down, they were all still up sitting by the open fire pit in the middle of the yard.
"So then, the little boy opens the door..." Ya Tou says telling a ghost story as they sat around anxiously waiting for the ending, Aaron was clinging onto Ghost who was pushing him away everything he snuggled onto her. "AHHH!" Ya Tou jumps out infront of Aaron causing him to scream louder than her. Ya Tou lightly laughs, "she got him!"
Everyone was holding in their laughter. Aaron was holding onto Wang Zi instead this time.
"It's nice to stay out like this," Joanne says to everyone, "this is the first time I've been to a friends house."
They looked at her strangely.
"First time?" Ya Tou questions, "why?"
"My family moves around a lot. The longest I've ever stayed in a city was two weeks. It was hard to make friends. This is the first time I've eaten barbeque, the first time we sat around and tell ghost stories, the first time ever. Having friends are a nice thing."
Wang Zi just sighs, "since you're here, you can consider us as your friends."
Ghost agreed, "if you want to go shopping, don't bother asking me, but you can ask Ya Tou since she likes to shop alot."
Ya Tou nods, "yea, I love to shop!"
Joanne just smiles, "thanks."
Ghost's mom comes out, "well I've called all your parents, you guys can sleep over if you want..." she then points at Aaron, "but your sisters threatened to close my restaurant."
Aaron sighs and looks down, "I'll go home then--"
"It's ok," Wang Zi said, "it's too late to go home anyways, besides tomorrow is the weekend, you can sleep at my place if your sisters don't want you to stay at Ghost's--"
"I forgot to mention Wang Zi, your maid left home already. Your parents are working late tonight, they said it's ok if you slept over."
Wang Zi forces a smile and pats Aaron lightly on the shoulders, "looks like we'll be sleeping here for the night."
Aaron's first response was to look at Ghost and ask for her permission.
She glares at him, "I think it's best if you call your sisters. I don't want to have nightmares tonight about what they'll do to me." She got up stretched and went to prepare for bed.
Joanne and Ya Tou doesn't say anything, they just got up and walks into the house.
Ghost's mom pats Aaron on the shoulders and smiles, "don't worry about Ghost. Enjoy your night here then." She heads into the house first.

The three girls are wearing black suits with dark sunglasses covering their faces, they look like criminals.
Ella takes out her binoculars and stares at the opened window in Ghost's house.
Selina is busy trying to put a beauty mask on her face and Hebe is clenching onto a stress relieving doll.
"Ey, do you see him or not?" Selina asks irritated, "we might as well just drag him out of there."
Ella sighs, "but it's better to watch just incase he decides to come home first."
Hebe glares at Ella, "ey, what if he decides to spend the night?"
She looks back at her, "then why do you think we're dressed like this? Of course it's to sneak in and take him out without anyone noticing."
Selina suddenly freaks out, "does that mean we have to stay up?"
Ella continues to look through the binoculars and then comes across Aaron walking with Wang Zi pass the open window into a different room. She became angry, "he's staying after all!"
Hebe quickly opens the door, wanting to bust into the house and drag him out by his hair, but Ella stops her.
"We take action at midnight."
