“Gillian, are you alright? What did the doctor say?” Edison asked and not letting Gillian answers him.
“Why are you here?” Gillian asked suspiciously. “And beside, it’s none of your business. You don’t need to care about it. Just go away and leave me alone.”
“Gillian Chung” The nurse called her name. Gillian quickly walk up to the nurse and get her medicine. “Take this twice a day, and if anything happen to the baby, remember to come back. Your health is not good so you should come and check for the baby twice a month.”
Edison was shock after he heard what the nurse had said. He doesn’t know what to do. He doesn’t know how to react to this. He doesn’t know either to be happy or to be sad. He is quite unsure about this problem. He want to be responsible for the baby, but Gillian let him? Gillian is a stubborn person. She doesn’t want to depend on guys to live. If she has the baby, she will not let Edison be responsible for the child. She will raise the baby up by herself, but that is if the baby is come properly to this world. But the baby comes in a wrong time and in the wrong way. Edison rape Gillian and now she having a baby. She might having an abortion and not keep the baby. Edison is afraid that she will do that and kill an innocent kid of his.
“Gillian, I…” He stuttered. He doesn’t know what to tell her. He wanted to say sorry again and he want to tell her that he will be the dad for the baby. But he is afraid that she will yell at him again. He is afraid that she will tell him that she will not keep the baby.
“Don’t worry. You don’t have to be responsible for the baby.” Gillian break the silence. “Because I will not keep the kid. So you just go away and stay out of my life.”
“But…but I want to keep it. You can’t say you don’t want it. You have to respect me you know. I’m the daddy and I want to keep the baby.” Edison said persuade her to keep the baby.
“Respect you? Excuse me, I think this phrase come out of a wrong person’s mouth! Did you respect me in the first place? Do you think that I want to carry a baby around and telling people that is my kid and when I’m not even marry?” Gillian said and stormed off in anger. She cry! For the first time she cry in font of a man. She quickly hide her face and run away, not letting Edison see her crying. Edison follow her and trying to hold her back.
Gillian got home and close the door. Outside, Edison keep banging on the door and calling out her name. The neighbors got annoy and open their door to see what happen and why there a crazy guy yelling out a girl’s name in their neighborhood.
Inside, Gillian turn on the music loud, not letting Edison words interfere with her thoughts. She has the feeling for him and she keep trying to deny it. Cecilia was sleeping in her room and got disturb by the loud music outside. She walk out her room scratching her head and yawn with her eyes closed angrily.
“Gillian! What the hell is wrong with you? Why the fuck are you turning the music so damn loud. Do you know I’m still sleeping and do you know I need my beauty sleep? And who the fuck keep knocking on the door and you don’t open.” Cecilia yelled and opened the door. “Why the fuck…” Cecilia stopped. She recognized the man in front of her door. She immediately closed the door and run into the restroom and wash her face. She quickly go and change, putting on her new clothes and open the door again. “Edison, I’m sorry. I didn’t know you come here.” She smiled and open the door letting Edison go in. Gillian saw him walk in the house, she immediately walk in her room. Edison quickly grab her hand, but she shake it off and walk away.
“Edison, have a seat.” Cecilia pulled him to the living room, but he turned around and closed his eyes lightly and yelled. “GET AWAY FROM ME!” Cecilia frowned in a disappointed way and let him go.
Edison walk to Gillian’s room and knock on her door. “Gillian, Gillian, can you please come out and talk to me. Please don’t hide from me!” Edison exclaimed.
“I told you to go away and stop bothering me.” Gillian stormed in anger as she open the door and have the evil eyes looking at him. “ I am dead serious, you better leave me alone or else you will never see me again.” Gillian whispered in a serious way and she meant it.
“But what about our baby? You can’t say you don’t want it.” Edison mumbled. Cecilia heard what Edison had say and she quickly jump into the conversation.
“Oh my god Gillian, you pregnant? Did mom and dad know about this? You better get rid of the baby before mom and dad find out. I am telling you man, you better or else mom and dad will be very disappoint in you.” Cecilia run up to them and start the conversation.
“Shut the fuck up Cecilia. What the fuck do you know and now you telling Gillian to get rid of the baby? Why don’t you shut your shit ass and let her decide her own life. This is her baby, not yours!” Edison yelled at Cecilia in a rude way and look at her closely in a scary way.
“What? I’m… I’m just telling my opinion!” Cecilia defended and stuttered.
“I don’t need your fucking idea. Just go away and leave us alone. This is our business. Godly, no wonder Nicholas don’t want you.” Edison expressed. But his expression of his last phrase had hurt Cecilia’s feelings. Cecilia walked away and leave them alone. In her mind, she feel really offended.
Gillian had left which Edison hasn’t noticed because he was arguing with Cecilia. Gillian is walk in the street and looking up where the birds’ family is flying. Inside, she telling herself how lucky the small birds is. She wish she were a bird flying away from all the sadness and not thinking what happen next because of their parents next to them. She think back to the past when she was little and her parents always next to her. As she was thinking, the car behind her was beeping the horn at her. Gillian turn around and notice the man in the car. He was Edison’s father.
Ekin walk out of the car and slowly walk up to Gillian. Inside, he was thinking of a little girl in the past where her parents die. From all this years he had looking for her, now he finally found her. It was his fault that she lost her family. From all these years, he always telling himself that he need to find her and make up the lost that she lad lose in the past.
-Ekin’s P.O.V-
I was walking with my wife that day and a bunch of guys walk up to me with knives. They tried to take revenge for their brother because I killed their brother last night. I thought my life was complete because I have a lovely white and a smart son. But then I lost everything that day. They had killed my wife and they keep chasing me. I bumped into a small family and use them to cover. The small family die but not their daughter. I tried to get back and save the little girl, but the police were surrounded around the restaurant. I think she saw me when I got back but she didn’t yell out. She just look straight into my eyes. Her eyes, the eyes that I will never forget in my entire life. It was a coincident that I meet that same eyes again.
After the day I meet her, I been hiding spies and finding informations about her. She is the girl that her parents die because of me. I found out that she worked in my hotel and she is the girl that having rumors with my son. It was good news that my son like her. But my son had made a BIG mistake. He raped her. I thought that if he didn’t do that, I will try to get them together and there are so many advantages from that. But now my son ruin my plan, what can I do?
“Hi Gillian” I greeted. “How are you today?”
“Hi, what do you want? If you here to speak for your son, just save it. I don’t want to keep the baby so no matter what he say, they baby will die.” Gillian exclaimed.
“Gillian, I understand your feelings. But you have to forgive my son. He love you and so that is why he do that to you.” Ekin expressed.
“If he love me, he wouldn’t do this to me.” Gillian whispered angrily and walked away.
