“I wasn't really cry because of what happening. I'm crying because God treat me so unfair. Every people around me mostly end up with something like death. Ed and Nic raced each other because of me and now they end up like this! With out me they wouldn’t be in this mess! I hate myself!! I’m always the one who cause my loved ones death! Because of me my parents died!” Gillian shouted while more tears poor out of her eyes. Ekin just sitting their silently watch the poor girl cry. He knew it wasn’t Gillian’s fault that her parents died. It was because of him.
After a few moments of thinking Ekin made up his mind and decided that Gillian deserve to know the truth even if it means she would never talk to her Uncle Chen again.
“Gillian, I need to tell you something.” Ekin said sternly while waiting for Gillian to look up, once she did Ekin start his story. “It wasn’t because of you that your parents died. It was because of me.”
Gillian’s eyes widen and she couldn’t believe it she was confused. What were her parents doing with Ekin back then, and what does Ekin got to do with her parent’s death?
“Mr. Chen you’re lying! You’re just trying to comforting my right?” Gillian asked looking straight into Ekin’s eyes.
Ekin just shook his head and said, “It’s true! It is me who killed your parents, they were shot to death! I was such a coward I used them to save myself. My enemies come in between us while we were talking and I wanted to save myself so I just use your parents as a shield to save my life. I am sorry, I feel really guilty now every time I look at your eyes it reminds me of your mother. The look that she gave me before her last breath, look so much like your eyes when my son raped you. Sorrow and sadness, I can’t keep this secret to you anymore so that’s why I’m telling you.” Ekin said and sighed. The weight on him is finally lifted, but another weight is put on him.
Gillian stared at Ekin for a while to let all the past sick in, and then after a few moments of silence she broke down onto her knees are cried her eyes out. Ekin tried to lend her a shoulder, but she back away.
“I can’t believe you did that to my parents I still got the nerves to come near me! I hate you! The first time I saw you I knew you were somewhat familiar and now I realize that you were the one who killed my parents!” Gillian shouted some nurses went by and tried to calm her down and warn her it’s a hospital, but Gillian glared at them making them dart away.
Ekin tries to step closer to Gillian and calm her down, but the result ends up Gillian shouting, “Get away from me! Don’t step any closer than me!”
Ekin stop in his track and look with pity in his eyes, he knew this would happen if he broke the news with Gillian. He dreaded telling her the story, but the guilt would always bite him if he doesn’t, all Ekin can do now is waiting and hope Gillian would forgive. After more crying she got tired of watching Ekin staring at her with those mongrel eyes, so she decided to let her thoughts go to Edison, hopefully he can wake up just listening to her voice. She glared at Ekin and step into Edison’s room, she watch him breathe while his head being wrapped while his body was bitten by the many glass windows of the car. She kept her eyes on his steady breathing while pulling the chair over, near to the bed so she can watch him longer. Just seeing him lying in bed made her cry even more, it was basically her who causing him to be in this mess. All she can do now is sit by his bed side and pray to God that he will wake up soon. She slowly slides her hands on the bed sheets and held his hands. She just held his hand to her face while her tears soak into his skin, she can tell Edison can feel her presence beside her, but he just couldn’t wake up and need some encouragement.
“Edison…do you know that I have an older sister? That she looks just like me, the funny thing she is my twin.” Gillian said while laughing quietly
“I can’t believe it, my mother had twins and I always thought I was the only one in this world…” Gillian muttered and cried again. She wipes away her tears and regains her composure. After a moment of looking at Edison’s face, Gillian decided to go and see Nic well after all she’s been by Edison the whole time and now she must go see Nic.
Meanwhile Gill just heard the news about Nic got into an accident because of a race so she immediately ran to the hospital. She rushed into the hospital and ask the lady at the front desk, “Excuse me, what room is Nicholas Tse in?”
The lady took a few moments to look up his name and answer, “Room 327 third floor.”
Gill immediately said and thanks and bid goodbye. She ran to the elevator and presses the button furiously. Some people gave her weird looks, but she didn’t care and continue yelling at the elevator to go faster. Once she got onto the third floor she rushed to room 327, once she arrive in front of the door she straighten herself out and step in. Nic was stil sleeping when Gill step into his room so all she did was sat down by his side and wait for him to wake up. She’s just glad that Nic is alright, and that is all that matters. Gill then held Nic’s hand and start talking to him.
“I know that I shouldn’t leave you Nic, but I have HIV already and I don’t want you to live with someone with HIV…” Gill whispered and tears started to swell
“I know I’m going to die sooner or later and I’m just hoping that I can stay by your side till the day I die. I know the day will soon to come and I just don’t want you to leave before me. When I heard the news that you were in the hospital I thought I would have a heart attack, but once I saw you safe in bed joy filled me up inside. I just hope that you would wake up soon…” Gill said while crying by his side.
While Gill was inside talking, Gillian was outside the door the whole time listening to her thoughts and Gillian thought, “Gill’s wish before she die is to be by Nic, if I go in I’ll interfere. I as a sister, I must, fulfill her last wish. Even meaning, letting Nic go…”
