Edison tiredly rubbed his aching eyes and slightly opens his eyes to see who have interrupted his sleep. Only to his surprise, their laying in front of him with eyes open sparkling like stars was Gillian. Once she saw him lifting his head up Gillian can only smile. She has waited for so long for him to finally look at her with those longing eyes and that annoying yet adorable crooked smile of his. The two just sat in the room staring at each other when finally Edison spoke up, “Gillian you're finally awake!”
Gillian just smiled and replied, “Well you too! I have waited for you to wake up, but when it's my turn to sleep. You wake up instead, isn't life such a teasing?”
Edison's grinned turned even wider and he swiftly stood up and placed a gentle hug on Gillian.
“I don't care if life is a teasing, as long as you're by my side I don't give a damn about life.” Edison whispered and pushes aside the strands of hairs lying on Gillian's forehead.
Gillian smiled seeing that the person that she love has finally awoken and seeing that he loves her so dearly make her heart beat even faster. Felling her face slowly turn bright red she look down to the bed sheets trying to hide her flushed face to Edison. Her body was feeling tingly and her heart beat was quickening its pace. When she felt a warm sensations go through her body.
Edison had just hugged her and when she look up again she saw his face smiling at her. Gillian shyly smiled back and embraced him tightly. They stay still in that position for a quite a long time when Edison broke from their embrace.
“Will you promise to always be by my side?” Edison asked
[Gillian's P.O.V]
I just looked deeply in his eyes and search for the answer. He thought that I would have denied his heart and I can see tears starting to form in his eyes. And that was when I finally found the answer.
“Ed, I promise.”
Actually all I want now is to have a simple life. A life that I have no worries and a life that have no obstacles and falls. I remembered I used to said that if I can choose between a simple life that flow smoothly or a life with all the obstacles, I rather choose life with all the falls. But then I sit down and think again, from all the things that happened, do I really want to fight the turbulent in the stormy life?
Edison proposed me and I accepted. I don’t know if I pick the right choice or not, but it doesn’t matter anymore. Because all I need right now is that a man who love me and my son.
His smile turned wide and using his hands he quickly wipe the tears away and embraced me in another tight hug. We were still in each others warmth, when someone stepped inside my room. It was Mr. Chen, or Ekin. He prefers me to call him Ekin though.
Edison slowly let go of me and turn around, his face immediately turned into a scowl, Edison never have gotten along with Ekin. And to the looks of it, it will take a long time for this father and son relationship to get a long again. Ekin sent me a warming smile, while Edison sent his father a piercing glare. I could tell that Edison did not acknowledge Ekin's presence, but he didn't realize how nice Ekin was to me. When Edison was in his endless sleep, Ekin was there to comfort me. He cherished me just like his daughter, I lost the feeling so long ago. Now that Ekin treated me like one, it made me feel completed.
“What are you doing here?” Edison said harshly.
The whole time Edison didn't even break a smile, he just glared at Ekin. He wanted his father to just disappear from this world.
“Edison dear you're here! I'm here to visit my soon to be daughter in law of course.” Ekin spoke with joy and approach Gillian's bed.
[E.N.D. O.F. P.O.V.]
[EDISON’S P.O.V.]
I hate my dad. All of my life, he never bring me any happiness. People said I’m a spoiled brat. But my dad didn’t teach me what is rights and wrong ever since my mom passed away, how can I’m not spoiled? Even he don’t behave himself, how can I? People always says ‘like father, like son’. I guessed is true.
I hate the way he look at Gillian. In his eyes, I sent some dirty thought. It seems like he interested in Gillian. That’s what I hate him the most. All my ex-girlfriend, he seems to be interest in them. And later he date them. I’m not gonna let this happen again.
I just hope Gillian understand my feelings. I just hope that from all the resistance, she will walks away and come to me. I don’t want to lost her again. I can say this and it might sound gay but I love her to dead. I can’t live without her. Funny how I always laugh at those idiots who suicide for love, and I’m here saying that I can die for Gillian
Is funny isn’t it? People always thought that I can never find a true love, and I thought so too. But miracle does happens and it happened on me.
[E.N.D. O.F. P.O.V.]
“So how are you Gillian?” Ekin asked as he sat down next to her.
“I’m fine Mr.Chen. Thanks for your concerning. I really appreciate your visit and I thank you a lot.” Gillian replied politely unlike her old self who always talks with an attitude. Gillian might change from all the incident happened in the past.
“No, I should be the one who be grateful that you bring the Chen’s family another follower.” Ekin smiled gratefully as he hold Gillian’s hand.
“Edison, why don’t you take your father to see the baby. I believed your dad didn’t see him yet. Let the boy meet his grandfather.” Gillian suggested as she turned to Edison. She can sensed that Edison doesn’t like the suggestion, however, he stared at Ekin to see if Ekin agrees.
“Yes please, Edison, take me go and see my grandkid. I want to see how cute he is.” Ekin requested as he stand up and walked out of the door. Edison follows him.
[EKIN’S P.O.V]
I went and visit Gillian. She seems to be happier now than the first time I saw her. I remembered that eyes, the one who stared at me that night which in my life, I can never forget.
I can see that Edison is mad at me for looking at Gillian like that. I meant no harm. I just want to say sorry to her and tell her about the past, but my words don’t come out. It got stuck. I wanted to tell her how sorry I was and I will do anything to make up all the lost she lost.
Edison and I walked into the child’s new born room. I saw my grandkid there. He have the round eyes that looked like Gillian. A tall shape nose like my son, Edison. He look just like Edison when he was little.
“He look just like you when you was little.” I whispered. Edison heard me and he looked at me like I’m some ignorant who talking nonsense.
“You remembered?” He asked me surprisingly with a smirk. “I thought that you were busy with all of your girlfriends and forget about that you has a son.”
“Edison, I always remember you as my son. I always love you. And I just want to let you know that you are the greatest thing that your mom gave me before she left. You are the gift that your mom and I both treasure.” Ekin explained as he turned around facing Edison face to face.
“Whatever you says. Is your mouth, I can’t control it.” Edison stated and left.
The words that just come out of Edison’s mouth really hurt me. I remembered that someone told me, the physical pain doesn’t hurt as much as the mental pain. All the beating up can never hit you, but if you use the right word, it will kills you immediately. I guessed it is true.

Hi, sorry for the long update. Since this chapter should be writing by LL, but she broke her arm and so I have to write it. And school started for me already and so it might take me a while to update this story. I really hope that I still have some readers out there that still supporting me. And you guys, stay tune. The story is almost finish.
I just wanted to give out some dedication to Morbit. This chapter is for you. I was checking my email and I saw your comment. I was touched and so I decided to update this. Thank you very much for supporting and I really appreciate it.
And also HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY TO NIC. His birthday is almost coming ya’ll. Only 6 more days. This story lasted more than a year already. *SIGH* I see a lot of people writing fanfic and they finished their story less than a year, while me and LL still stuck here. Anyway stay tune for the next update and it’ll be soon. I promised.
