"Stop running !"
Ignoring their screams of protest, I continue running as fast as my legs can could carry me. I'm already out of the house. All I have to do now is to dash out of the gates and I'm free.
Free to go anywhere I want.
"________ ! Please, stop !" I hear my father shouting.
I push open the gate and run.
I want to just be alone for a while.
Don't worry, I'll come back.
I stop running after 10 minutes. I already have a stitch on my side and my mouth is seriously dry. My forehead is matted with sweat. I bend down, hands on knees, and gasp for air.
The playground is just a few blocks away. I can still make it.
And so, taking a big gulp of air, I straighten up and start walking.
For some reason, I can sense someone following me from behind.
I slow down, stop and turn around.
No one.
Nothing but a tree.
I sigh.
I am losing it. Totally and utterly losing it.
Maybe it's because of the depression I'm wallowing into right now.
I know what Junsu said. I know I have to support my father, like how he does to me. But I can never accept this woman as my mother.
All I want is for everything to be normal again.
I stop walking and shove both my hands into my pockets. I look across the road, over to the playground.
Again, I sigh.
I'm getting too old for this kind of stuff.
But hey, no one is stopping me.
Checking both sides of the road, I step forward, and start running to the playground.
BEEEEEP, BEEEEP~ !
I am on the middle of the road, and a car is heading towards my direction.
At first, my instincts tells me to run. Get the heck out of there ! Move your legs and save yourself !
But then, after that, I change my mind.
I can die now if I want to. I can join my mother up on Heaven. I can drain all my troubles away, just by being hit by a car.
Good idea.
I stay on the middle of the road, close my eyes and wait for the vehicle to send me flying.
BEEEEEP, BEEEEEP~ !
"__________ !"
[Changmin's POV]
Suddenly, she stops walking and turns around.
I dive into a nearby tree and lean on it, trying not to breathe too loudly.
If ______ finds out that I'm following her, she'd think I'm weird and stuff.
Where is she going ?
I continue stalking her.
Okay, well, I wouldn't say STALKING. I'm merely following her to make sure that she doesn't do anything.
The rest also wanted to run after her, especially her father but since I'm the tallest, thanks to my long legs, I beat them to it.
So now I'm stalking- FOLLOWING- her.
She stops walking again and shoves her hands into her pockets.
I look across the road.
A playground ?
She sighs, hesitates, before checking both sides of the road. Once she thinks it's all clear, she walks on the road, to get to the other side.
Her back is facing me. It's safe for me to go out now.
Maybe I can join her.
BEEEEP, BEEEEP~ !
I glance at the direction of where the sound is coming from.
A car travelling at probably 60 miles per hour is charging towards her.
She looks scared at first, as she stares at the truck.
The thing comes nearer.
Why isn't she moving ?!
The truck is just a few-
_____ closes her eyes.
She wants to die. She's letting herself be run over by a truck. She's ending her life.
Never.
"______ !" I dash to the middle of the road and pushes her out of the way.
She lands on the pavement on the other side of the road. The car lunges towards me and hit me with full force.
I feel pain shooting from every pore in my body.
I collapse on the ground.
"Changmin !" I hear _____'s footsteps running towards me. She comes into view, but she's very blurry.
"_____ ..." I try to finish my sentence, to get it over with and tell her that I love her. I love her too much to let her die.
Her tears splash onto my face. "Changmin, please, don't ..."
"_____," I repeat her name. "I ..."
All my energy drains away, as if it's being sucked out from my body. Slowly, everything turns black ...
[Yoochun's POV]
Riiing, riiiiing~ !
My phone rings.
"Is it _______ ?" Our manager jumps up from his seat. I fish out my phone from my pocket and check the caller ID.
"Yep," I tell him, before standing up.
I flip my phone open. "______ ? Where are you ? Did you see Changmin ? He was following you."
"H-h-hyung ... Changmin ... He ..." _____ splutters from the other end.
"Why are you crying ?" The rests looks at me, concern filling up their eyes. "_______, calm down and tell me what happened."
"Changmin ... Accid-d-dent ..."
"What ?! Where are you ?" I shout.
"Korean Cross Hospital. I checked Changmin in ... He looks-" Before she can finish the sentence, I hear her burst into fresh tears again.
"We'll be right there ! Don't go anywhere, _______, please, wait for us !"
After hanging up, I turn around to face the guys.
And lady.
"Hurry, we have to go to Korean Cross Hospital. Changmin had an accident. _______ is already there. We have to be quick unless _______ decides to run away again," I talk quickly.
It takes a while before the others get out from their shock.
After regaining their composure, we all dash outside the house, towards the van.
______'s father and the woman slides into a black car while the rest of us go into the van.
As we're driving to the hospital, everyone is quiet.
Nobody says anything.
Nothing is to be said.
I hope _____ and Changmin are alright.
I really do.
