I had a weird dream last night.
I dreamt that I was running away from someone. But I wasn't scared, I was ... laughing. It's like I know who the person chasing me is. And the place. It actually didn't look like Korea, but I know it is. It's a playground. A deserted playground with swings and everything.
Okay, so, I was running and suddenly, this man comes and grabs me on my waist. Instead of screaming, or maybe, trying to escape, I laughed even harder.
Aish.
It was only a dream. Why do I feel like it's real ?
The harsh sunshine penetrates through my window, making me squint as I roll out of my bed.
My head is throbbing and I feel a bit dizzy. The insides of my mouth tastes like metal and I don't even know why.
What happened yesterday ?
Oh, right. Changmin's birthday.
"I want to see you smile ..."
I can't believe that's what he wants for a gi- YAH ! His gift ! I forgot to buy one for him !
Groaning, I rub my sore head and stand up. Almost immediately, as dizziness washes over me, I fall back down. In the corner of my eye, I see something glinting on my bed. Leaning towards it, I pick it up.
A gold bracelet with the lettering that spells Junsu's name.
What's it doing here ?
Anyway, I'm still wearing the same clothes I wore yesterday. Maybe it'll give me some clues on what REALLY happened.
Gosh, I feel like crap.
I grab the collar of my shirt, place it under my nose and inhale.
The smell of alcohol hits me on the face.
Now I remember.
Thank you, smelly clothes.
Yesterday, after visiting all of Changmin's favourite places, which, unsurprisingly, includes a theme park, Yoochun suggested that we go into a club. To celebrate more.
The Park Yoochun way.
At first, both Changmin and I were reluctant, since we have never been inside a club before. And besides, I'm only 17. The bouncers will never let me in.
But, after much persuasion, and bribery, we finally agreed.
Gargh, I don't even know how I got in. Yoochun hyung just told the men at the entrance that I was 18 so they let me in.
Pff, idiots.
I didn't drink a lot, honest.
But anyway, right now, all I have to worry about is how to get down for breakfast. So, with one hand, I grab the table beside my bed and uses it to heave me up on my feet. Once I'm all set, I stay for a moment to regain my balance.
Then, slowly, I shuffle downstairs to the kitchen, where Junsu is having his breakfast.
He's the only one at the dining table and he's reading a newspaper while munching on his cereals.
"Morning, hyung," I yawn before sitting down opposite him.
"Oh. Morning, _______. How are you ?" Junsu puts down the paper.
Like me, he's wearing the same clothes he wore yesterday and his hair is seriously uncombed.
"Er, I'm fine ... A bit dizzy, but otherwise fine," I clutch the bracelet on my hand, wondering whether I should give it to him now.
"Crazy night, huh ? I threw up on two different bushes last night, including the ones just outside the house," he grins at me, like he just won an Olympic or something.
I feel my lips twitching.
NO, don't smile. YOU don't smile, remember ?!
"So, where is everyone ?" I ask as Junsu picks up the newspaper again.
He looks like someone's father.
He looks like my father.
"They went jogging." He reaches out, takes his cup of coffee and sip from it.
"Why didn't you go ?" I start eating my breakfast.
"Too lazy."
After that, there is silence. I turn the bracelet over and over in my hand.
Suddenly, Junsu laughs.
I straighten up and stare at him. His laugh is kind of high-pitched but very ...
It's hard for me not to listen.
He's like a dolphin.
What is so funny about the news ?
He puts down the papers and continues eating his waffles. I glance at the page of the paper he just put down.
Oh. Comics.
"Um, hyung ... I found this on my bed this morning and I'm wondering if it's yours," I hold up the bracelet.
Junsu stops eating, his waffle hanging in mid-air.
I lean across the table, takes his hand and press the bracelet on it. "Here."
"Erm, thank you," Junsu clasps it around his wrist. "Do you need an explanation ?"
"Sure, that would be nice," I look at him.
"You see, when we got home from the club last night, everyone; practically everyone was unconscious. I was the only one ... Alive. You were too dizzy to walk so the driver asked me to carry you to the house first, then come back for the guys."
"So I carried you up to your room and when I laid you down on your bed, my hand kinda got stuck. I mean, um, you laid on it. So I tried to pull it out and when I finally managed to do so, my bracelet was gone. It was too dark so I didn't bother to find it. So ... Yeah," Junsu looks down at his waffles.
It's hard not to smile when this boy is around. He has so much charisma.
"Thank you," I nod at him.
He grins at me. "Hey, let's go jogging ! Maybe we'll catch with the others !"
"Um, sure ... ? Give me 5 minutes to change," I push my chair back and run up to my room.
What the hell ...
I don't even LIKE jogging.
[Junsu's POV]
In my jogging attire, I sit on the living room couch and stare at my bracelet.
Everything I said was true.
But I left out one thing.
When I laid her down on her bed, after I lost my bracelet, I ended up staring at her.
She looks so peaceful in her sleep and she keeps mumbling something.
I couldn't bear to leave her so I kissed her on the forehead and slept beside her.
This morning, at about 4am, I woke up. Thinking that maybe, she'll freak out when she sees me sleeping beside her, I sneaked out of her room and went into my own.
I don't have to tell her that, right ?
Does that make me bad ?
I just don't know why. I'm really attracted to this girl and I don't know what to do.
"Hyung, ready ?" _______ comes down the stairs, wearing a black jacket with matching black jogging pants. I stand up and both of us walks out of the house.
It's still very early. And the morning breeze is still there.
I start jogging and ______ jogs beside me, her hair billowing around her face as the wind passes us.
I look at her and suddenly, I trip on something and the next thing I know, I'm on the ground with a grazed knee.
______ stops jogging and knelt down to examine my wound.
The wind blows her hair towards my face and seriously, I can smell her shampoo.
"Hyung, are you alright ?" She pokes my wound, for I don't know what reasons.
I flinch. "Maybe we should just walk ..."
Not that I'm in pain, or anything. _______ nods and helps me up.
Crap, my knee. I stumble back down again but ______ catches me. Once I'm up, she takes my hand and we start walking.
"Hyung, next time, don't wear different types of shoes," she informs me.
I look down at my feet. One shoe is yellow and the other is blue.
Aish.
