“Thanks for giving me a ride.” Bosco said to Hoi Yee as they made their way to the hospital parking lot. Outside lightening brightened the sky as rain washed the streets.

“It’s no problem. Flat tires happens everyday.” Hoi Yee said as she unlocked her car.

“You must really like purple.” Bosco noted as he got into the front passenger seat. Hoi Yee smiled and nodded. The car was a purple sedan, the seats were covered with purple leather and everything was purple.

“It’s nice…makes me comfortable.” Hoi Yee said as she drove off. “You’ll have to give me the directions to your place.”

The time read ten o’clock.

Hoi Yee glanced at Bosco from the mirror, as he gave her the directions. It took another fifteen minutes and Hoi Yee pulled up to the front of Bosco’s place.

Just as she expected to happen, Bosco invited her in for a cup of coffee. Hoi Yee smiled and accepted the invitation. This was going just as she planned. It seems like manipulating Bosco was easier than with Raymond.

Hoi Yee followed Bosco to the building and then the elevator. Once they reached his floor, Hoi Yee suddenly felt uncomfortable. She didn’t know what it was, but something wasn’t right.

“My cousin from the states is here…” Bosco explained. “She’s a little…you know.” He pointed to his head.

Bosco unlocked the door of his apartment and Hoi Yee felt a stab of pain go through her body.

Leila stood at the doorway looking at Hoi Yee. Hoi Yee looked up to see Leila standing there her arms crossed, challenging her to enter. Leila had set up a charm in the apartment to block her. No matter what Hoi Yee couldn’t enter.

Hoi Yee glared at Leila clutching her chest. Leila felt a throb in her head as she goared back at Hoi Yee.

“Hello?” Bosco exclaimed interrupting them. “Do you two know each other?”

Leila broke off the glare and faked a smile. Hoi Yee did the same.

“No.” the girls replied at the same time.

“Come in Hoi Yee, this is my cousin Leila by the way.” Bosco introduced.

“Yeah, come in…” Leila said in a challenging tone. Hoi Yee knew she could never enter the place, the charm would let her and the pain was still piercing through her body.

“I-I’m sorry Bosco…I realized I still have something to do…” Hoi Yee said quickly. With that she turned and left.

Once Hoi Yee was gone Bosco turned to Leila. “What is your problem?”

“What did I do?” Leila asked innocently.

“Stop treating everyone as if they are dangerous or something.” Bosco told Leila.

“Stay away from her, she’s bad news.” Leila told him.

Bosco walked into his apartment and hung his jacket. “I think you need to see a psychiatrist.”

Leila turned around and glared at him. Why are humans so frustrating sometimes?
“I’m seriously god damn it!” Leila snapped angrily.

“Whoa…” Bosco exclaimed. Leila took a deep breath calming herself. Should she tell him…would he believe her?

“What’s going on?” Bosco demanded.

“You humans are so frustrating!” Leila yelled.

“Calm down! And what are you saying by humans? You’re a human yourself!” Bosco reminded her. “Are you sure you don’t need to have a check up at the hospital?”

Leila took a deep breath again, telling herself to calm down.

“Sit down…there’s something I have to tell you.” Leila told Bosco.

It took another roar of thunder to bring Myolie and Raymond back to reality. The two pulled away quickly avoiding each other’s glance. Myolie felt her face burn.

“I-I’m sorry…” Raymond said hoarsely. He didn’t know what was going on, or what made him do it.

“I….I remember I have something to do…” Raymond said. He got up and then without another word left the house.

Myolie was too shocked to stop him. She felt her cheeks, they were burning hot. She’s never felt like that before. The storm was beginning to die down. Her heart, however was still thundering.

“No Myolie!” Myolie scolded herself. “He’s human and you’re an angel…”

Bosco stared at Leila. “Is this some kind of joke?”

Leila looked at Bosco with her arms cross. “I’m serious. I’m not human, neither is Myolie. Oh she is my sister by the way.”

Bosco looked at Leila. “So if you and Myolie are not humans, what are you guys?”

“We’re angels…Guardian Angels…” Leila replied. Bosco took one look at Leila and started to crack up.

“Okay, okay, joke’s over.” Bosco said laughing so hard his had tears in his eyes. Never in his life had he heard such nonsense.

“Bosco Wong I am serious!” Leila snapped angrily. “Why do you think I would make up something like this?”

Bosco got up and felt Leila’s forehead. “No fever…”

Leila pushed him on the sofa. “Look!” Leila told him as she waved her arms. A blue and a white bird appeared out of no where and began to fly around the house. Bosco stared at her. “Awesome Leila! Where did you learn to do such magic tricks?”

“They’re not tricks! They are for real.” Leila told him.

“Okay, okay, you win. I give up.” Bosco laughed holding up his hand in a surrendering motion. Leila sighed and shook her head.

“Look at this then.” Leila told him. “Now don’t blink!”

Bosco stared at Leila. Leila closed her eyes and clutched her pendant in a praying poise. Suddenly a white glow formed around her as Bosco watched in awe. And then it occurred. Two beautiful pure white wings, spreaded out behind Leila.

“Now do you believe me?” Leila asked.

Bosco looked at Leila for a moment, stunned with disbelief horror in his eyes. Then before she knew it, he went cross eyed and then fainted on the spot.
