Time flew, for everyone. Almost two months passed drawing Bosco and Nancy’s wedding date closer.
Leila hurried out to get the doorbell that was ringing constantly to find herself face to face with a middle age couple.
“You are?” Each of them asked each other.
“We’re Bosco Wong’s parents. I’m Sek Sau and this is Bosco’s mother, my wife Liza.” The man introduced.
“Who are you?” Liza asked Leila. She knew the bride was Nancy.
“Mom? Dad?!” Bosco exclaimed coming up from behinid Leila.
“Bosco, who’s this girl? Does Nancy know?” Liza asked.
“Calm down mom. This is Leila…she is…a doctor in training under me. The hospital dorms are full, so I agreed with Director Cheng to let her stay since we have a vacant apartment. She’s going to move out soon.” Bosco lied.
Leila nodded. “Nice to meet you aunty, uncle.” Leila said.
Liza and Sek Sau greeted Leila warmly.
“Why didn’t you call me? I could’ve picked you two up form the airport.” Bosco said as his parents stepped into the apartment.
“Nah, don’t want to bother you. I know how hectic wedding’s can be.” Liza said. “Is everything going smoothly?”
Bosco nodded. “Yeah. You guys came back in time. We’re scheduled to take the wedding portraits and try on the outfits today.”

Myolie and Raymond stepped into the Bridal Shop in Central HK to see Bosco already there.
“Where’s the bride?” Raymond asked his friend.
“She’s running a little late I think. Your outfits are ready.” Bosco told Raymond and Myolie.
“Where’s Leila?” Myolie asked.
“She’s one her way too. So are my parents.” Bosco informed them. One of the salesladies brought an armful of clothing for them.
“Why don’t you guys change first? I’ll take care of the bride and the other people when they arrive.” The saleslady told them.
The three nodded and took their outfits to the fitting room, just as Leila stepped in.
“How may I help you?” a saleslady asked Leila.
“I’m here for the Wong’s Appointment. I think it’s the four o’clock schedule.” Leila told the saleslady.
“Ah yes, the groom and some other people came. Come with me this way.” The salelady said assuming she was the bride.

Bosco stepped out of the fitting room and looked at the mirror in the corridor. The tux fitted him perfectly.
“Mr. Wong. The bride came. She’s getting ready. The photographer is ready outside.” The manager told Bosco.
Bosco nodded as he waited patiently for Raymond, Myolie and the rest of the people. He wondered how Nancy looked in the wedding dress. She must be very pretty.
Suddenly a commotion came from the next room.
Bosco turned around to see a bride running out. His heart jolted. Was Nancy changing her mind?
“You got the wrong person!” the girl yelled. She ran and tripped on the long white gown.
“Whoa!” Bosco exclaimed as he caught the bride.
“Leila?” Bosco exclaimed as the bride looked up. His heart skipped a beat as he held her in his arms. The worries of Nancy changing her mind were gone as Bosco’s gaze fell upon Leila. Her hair was messy and her face was flushed, but she looked more angelic than ever in the white gown.
Leila’s breath stop short as she looked up as Bosco in his tux. They were only inches apart. It took a few moments to sink in and Leila pulled away.
“Sorry…They got the wrong person! They think I’m Nancy…” Leila said as she tried to slow her breath.
“S-she’s a bridesmaid…not the bride…” Bosco said slowly. Suddenly he found himself thinking of Leila as the bride.
The bell at the door dangled as Nancy stepped into the parlor interrupting everything.
“Sorry, I’m late…Whoa, what’s going on?” Nancy exclaimed.
“They thought I was you…” Leila told her softly.
“We’re really sorry for the mistake…” the manager said apologetically.
“It’s okay.” Leila said. She carefully made her way back to the changing room with Nancy after her.
Bosco stood there for a moment lost in his thoughts.

“I’m so nervous.” Nancy exclaimed. They were in the backroom of the St. Mary’s Chapel. Outside in the main hall, were many guests waiting for the wedding to begin.
“Nancy, dear don’t you look pretty!” Liza exclaimed.
“Honey, let’s go out and let them get ready. The Wedding’s going to start soon.” Sek Sau said ushering his wife out.
“Good luck ladies!” Sek Sau said as he and Liza left.
Leila sat on the corner fondling with the bouquet of flowers. Myolie left Nancy with her other friends and sat next to Leila.
“Lei? You okay?” Myolie asked her sister.
Leila nodded. “It’s my job to make sure his fate is set right…”
“I hate seeing you like this.” Myolie sighed.
“Have you decided what you’re going to do after today?” Myolie asked.
Leila nodded. “I’m going to live as my representation.”
“As a bird?” Myolie exclaimed.
“That’s the only way I can keep an eye on him.” Leila told Myolie.
“But,” Myolie began. She was however interrupted when a woman came in telling them it was time to go.

Raymond straightened Bosco’s tie.
“There, the perfect groom.” Raymond teased his friend.
“I feel nervous…Something doesn’t feel right…” Bosco told Raymond. Raymond patted his friend on the shoulder.
“Cold feet eh? It happens to everyone before the wedding. Ah, don’t worry. It’ll be gone once you see the bride.” Raymond said. The organ suddenly began to play and everyone took their seats. Raymond, and two other friends of Bosco stood behind him at the altar.
The first bridesmaid maid her way and stood across the three ushers. Myolie came in second in a pale pink gown. Raymond stood there watching her mesmerized, hoping one day she would be the bride and he would be the groom.
Leila stepped in after Myolie. Bosco looked up and his breath stopped. Memories of her at the wedding parlor came flooding back. Suddenly Bosco felt as if she was the bride. As Leila moved closer towards them, Bosco unknowingly start to reach his hand out for hers.
“Bosco!” Myolie whispered. Her whisper brought him back to reality and he let his hand dropped to his side once again.
Leila gave him a soft smile and went and stood next to Myolie. The organ stopped for a moment and then it began to plan a strong high tune of ‘Here Comes the Bride’. Everyone at the pew stood up as Nancy appeared at the end of the aisle with her father.
Bosco watched as Nancy made her way towards him. She gave him a smile as he took her hand.
“Take good care of my daughter.” Mr. Wu told Bosco. Bosco nodded. Mr. Wu returned to the pew as Bosco and Nancy turned to face the priest.
“Dearly Beloveds we are gathered here in the sign of God – and in the face of this company – to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony. If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together – let them speak now or forever hold their peace.” The priest began.
There was a pregnant silence as the priest gave three seconds for anyone to object this union.
“Well then, let’s continue.” The Priest said opening the bible.
“Marriage is the union of-” The priest began when suddenly the door of the chapel burst open.
“I OBJECT! They cannot get married!” A voice boomed.
