Raymond and Myolie walked down the harbor admiring the pretty view of Hong Kong night.
“I seriously thought you were only a guardian angel. Since when did you take over cupid’s job?” Raymond teased.
“Since I found out your friend and my sister likes each other.” Myolie replied.
The lights in the city of Hong Kong blinked and shined prettily in the dark sky.
“It’s so pretty!” Myolie sighed as she watched the lights.
“This isn’t much, New York City is the city that never sleeps. If you went there, you would never look at other City lights the same.” Raymond told her.
“Wow…there’s some much on earth to explore.” Myolie exclaimed.
Near the plaza of the Harbor, there were girl scouts selling flowers in a basket. A ten year old girl approached Raymond and looked hopefully at him.
“Sir would you like to buy a rose?” she squeaked.
“How much?” Raymond asked.
“Fifteen dollars each. We are raising money for the Katrina Relief.” The little girl squeaked.
Raymond smiled and pulled out fifteen dollars and hand it to the girl.
“What color would you like sir?” The girl asked.
“I’ll take the red one.” Raymond said. The little girl thanked him and ran off.
Raymond took the rose and tucked it in Myolie’s hair behind her left ear.
“There! All pretty now!” Raymond exclaimed.
Myolie pouted. “Are you saying I wasn’t pretty before?”
“No of course not! I didn’t mean it that way, I meant-” Raymond paused when he saw Myolie laughing.
“I was just teasing silly!” Myolie laughed. Raymond pretend to be mad and glared at her.
“Aww I was just playing.” Myolie told him.
Raymond looked at Myolie a few more moments before breaking into a smile. “So was I.”
“Come on, let’s me show you the best view on HK at night.” Raymond said. He took her hands and led her across the street where a night fair was held.
Inside the fair were game booths with toys hanging around.
Raymond led her further into the nosy fair until they reached a fence surrounding a large Ferris wheel.
He bought two tickets and led Myolie inside the fence. After getting secured in one of the carts of the Ferris wheel, Myolie looked around with awe.
“Isn’t this what they call a ‘Ferris Wheel’?” Myolie asked. “I’ve always wanted to ride one!” Myolie exclaimed.
Suddenly it started to move and Myolie jumped up in surprise.
“Relax!” Raymond told her as they moved slowly upwards.
He wrapped his arms around her shoulder and gestured for her to look out. Myolie looked out with wonder and awe as the beautiful night view of Hong Kong appeared in front of her eyes. As the Ferris Wheel took them further up the lights in the city grew smaller until it looked like a vast of stars in a galaxy.
“It’s so beautiful…” Myolie whispered as she leaned relaxingly against Raymond.
She turned and gave him a peck on the cheek.
“That’s all I get?” Raymond asked playfully.
Myolie knew what he was coming at decided to tease him. She shrugged and turned around. Raymond pretended to be disappointed, to see what she would do, when Myolie turned around suddenly and kissed him softly on the lips.
A surprised Raymond stared back at Myolie who blushed furiously. She had never done something that bold before.
“Happy?” Myolie mumbled.
Raymond smile. He loved it when she looked so innocent and confused and embarrassed.
Pulling her closer he settled his lips on hers again. As if it was the most natural thing, Myolie wrapped her arms around Raymond enjoying the soft sweet kiss above the cheery night of Hong Kong.

Leila stared at Bosco and counted his breathes. It was almost eight o’clock. He looked so adorable and vulnerable in his sleep.
The alarm clock rang surprising the two.
“You’re early.” Bosco mumbled as he slowly awoke.
“You’re just late! And if you don’t hurry you will be!” Leila told him. She dragged him off the bed.
Bosco washed up and changed and appeared at the dinning room to see that Leila taking out a batch of croissants from the oven.
“Smells nice.” Bosco said as he walked up to her. Leila settled the tray of croissants on the counter and Bosco took a bite of one of it and fought the urge to spit it out. It tasted…funny. Sweet, sour and salty at the same time.
“How is it?” Leila asked.
“It’s um…not bad!” Bosco said as he forced himself to take another bite. He didn’t want to hurt Leila’s feelings, but he was also dying for a cup of water.
Leila frowned, and took a bite spitting it out instantly. “You call this good?”
Bosco looked sheepish and Leila gave him a hug. “Thanks though. I don’t know what I did wrong…I followed the recipe correctly. Butter, flour and salt.” Leila said gesturing to the jar.
Bosco’s gaze fell on the jar and chuckled.
“What?” Leila asked.
“Um…Leila that’s the jar of sugar…”
Leila smacked her forehead. “Ops. Oh well, when you get back you have a perfectly tasteful batch of croissants!”
Quickly she fixed him a set of toast and cup off coffee.
“Where are you going?” Bosco asked Leila as she followed him to the door.
“Myolie.” Leila told him as he closed and locked the door.
“Why? Asking her to give you some pointers on cooking?” Bosco teased and Leila glared at him.
“I’m just teasing.” Bosco said as he took her hands and walked with her into the elevator.
Instead of going to the parking lot on the bottom floor, the two headed to the lobby since Bosco’s car was at the autoshop.
“Why don’t I go with you to Raymond’s place first? He should still be home. We’ll head to the hospital together then. I doubt his car is at the autoshop too.” Bosco said.
Leila nodded.
Outside the sunny was shinning brightly down at them.
They left the gates of the building and stepped out into the street. Across the street in the small park were senior citizens doing their usually morning exercise.
“We’re going to drop by the hospital later.” Leila told Bosco.
“Why? Checking on us?” Bosco joked.
“Yeah, Myolie trusts Raymond, but I don’t trust you. Who knows, maybe Hoi Yee’s in the hospital and turning you to the dark side without my knowing.” Leila joked back.
“Yeah, well even if I was turning to the dark side. It’d probably be for you.” Bosco told her.
They made their way to the corner of the block where taxis are usually easy to hail.
Two of the taxis that passed had passengers.
“I guess it wasn’t really our luck to get a cab.” Leila said as she stuck her head out to see if any more cabs were coming.
Bosco’s cell rang at the same time. “Ray? Yeah, okay good. Seems like the cabs don’t like us today. Okay then. See ya.” Bosco said hanging up.
“Apparently Raymond and Myolie are on their way out. He’ll drop off Myolie and give me a ride.” Bosco told Leila.
“Awesome!” Leila exclaimed. They began to make their way back to the building when suddenly screech around the corner caused the two to turn around.
Leila and Bosco watched in shock as they saw a purple car speeding towards them.
“Move out!” Bosco shouted pushing Leila away as the purple car drove onto the sidewalk hitting Bosco on the spot.
Leila watched in horror as the impact threw Bosco some feet away from the car.
“Bosco!” Leila shouted rushing to him. A puddle of blood appeared from beneath him.
The driver of the purple car crashed into the wall sending glasses pieces everywhere.
Raymond and Myolie arrived the same time as the paramedics.
“Bosco!” Raymond and Myolie exclaimed in horror as they pushed through the crowd.
“What happened?” Myolie asked a sobbing Leila.
Raymond showed the paramedics his id card and followed two of them to the badly crashed purple car.
Myolie embraced her sister. “Bosco’s going to be fine. Don't worry.”
Two officers managed to pull the badly damaged car door open. Raymond’s breath stop short when the unconscious driver fell out. Instead of Hoi Yee he was expecting, it was the girl who looked exactly like Li Qian.
