Chapter 8

At the same time, when Bosco and Raymond were in Mr. Cheng’s officer, both Leila and Myolie gasped as they felt a chill go up their spines.
“Demon!” Both girls whispered. They felt a strong aura of evilness around them.

“Raymond, Bosco, meet my niece, Chan Hoi Yee. Hoi Yee these two young doctors will take you through your training. You’ll assist them each for three months.” Mr. Cheng told his niece.

Hoi Yee was a pretty girl in her early twenties. She looked at Bosco and Raymond and smiled. “I hope to learn a lot from you guys.”

“Why don’t you guys give her a tour around the hospital? She wants to start her training ASAP so she can get her degree faster.” Mr. Cheng chuckled.

Bosco and Raymond nodded. They got up and left with Hoi Yee. “Miss Chan right?” Bosco began.

“You guys can just call me Hoi Yee. I think Miss Chan’s too formal.” Hoi Yee said.
“What part in the medical field did you major in Hoi Yee?” Raymond asked.

“I’m planning to work in the ER if I can.” Hoi Yee said.

“No wonder Mr. Cheng picked us to supervise your training.” Bosco said. “We’re in the ER department. You uncle’s quite smart.”

Hoi Yee smiled as the three continued their tour through out the hospital.

“So Nancy told me you hired a housekeeper is that true?” Bosco asked as the two changed into their casual clothing. They had finished their shift.

“Yeah…” Raymond said as they left the locker room. “You know with my hectic schedule, I have basically no time to keep my house in an orderly fashion…” Raymond said.

Bosco understood and didn’t question anymore. Qian used to clean Raymond’s place. “So what brought you out of depression? You never finished telling me.” Bosco said as they turned towards the corridor of the second floor.

“A Dream…I saw Qian yesterday…” Raymond told Bosco.

“I see…” Bosco murmured. “Well, it’s good to have you back.” The two were about to exit to the parking lot when a voice called Bosco’s name. It was Leila. Bosco turned to see Leila chasing after them.

“I thought you left.” Bosco said to her.

Leila finally reached Bosco and his friend and was gasping for breath. “Are you alright?”

Bosco stared at Leila, this girl sure as the most strange questions. “Of course I’m fine. Why?”

“Nothing happened today?” Leila asked looking at Bosco.

“No, oh this is my friend. Raymond Lam.” Bosco said introducing Raymond.

Leila stared at Raymond. Raymond Lam! He must know where Myolie is!

“Hello!” Bosco said waving his hands in front of Leila’s face. “I know he’s good looking you don’t have to stare so obviously!”

Leila rolled her eyes.

“I’m Leila, Bosco’s cousin from the States.” Leila introduced herself holding out her hand. She shook hands with Raymond as Raymond gave Bosco a who is she look. Raymond knew Bosco pretty well and knew that Leila couldn’t be his cousin. Bosco gave Raymond an I’ll explain later look.

“Nice to meet you…Leila.” Raymond said smiling.

Leila felt a great amount of evilness in the hospital and looked around hoping to spot someone suspicious. She couldn’t see or find anyone.

“So where are you guys going? Mind if I join you guys?” Leila asked the two. To her relief they left the hospital.

“Don’t you have anything better to do?” Bosco asked her. Leila shook her head. “We’re just going to my place, you can join if you want.” Raymond told her as they got into Bosco’s car.

“Some people are just nicer than others. You need to learn from your friend!” Leila told Bosco.

Bosco snorted. “If I weren’t nice, you’d probably be taking a cab right now and living in the streets!”

Raymond chuckled. “Well Bos, seems like you met your match.” Raymond said as Bosco drove out of the hospital parking area.

Bosco’s words suddenly sunk into Leila’s mind. He had made it clear before she had to leave once she found Myolie. Leila suddenly felt sick.

The flowers in front of Myolie bloomed within two seconds. The lilies were placed in the balcony, the living room, kitchen and even the bathroom. They were her representations. The premonition she had this morning was still nagging her mind. Tavia was right, the demon’s already on earth and is moving fast. The lilies should be able to ward off the demon for the time being. Myolie prayed for Raymond’s safety and to reunite with Leila as soon as possible.

The doorbell rang causing Myolie to jolt. She hurried to the door and opened it to find Raymond, Bosco and Leila!

“Lei-” Myolie began.

“Hi, I’m Leila! You must be the house keeper!” Leila said hurrying into Raymond’s apartment.

Myolie stared at Leila, did Leila forget her already? What was going on?

“Can you please show me to the bathroom! Emergency!” Leila told Myolie. She gestured at her sister.

“Geez, Leila, can’t you hold it for a moment? You’re going to scare people!” Bosco told Leila.

“No, it’s okay…Come with me…” Myolie said as she led Leila to the bathroom.

“Wow, your housekeeper sure did a nice job!” Bosco said as he looked around his friend’s place. There were lilies everywhere, but somehow it made the place feel more comfortable and oddly, it also made the place feel safe.

“So who is that girl?” Raymond asked as the two settled down on the leather couches.

“Remember the storm? I found her unconscious on the highway. Yeah she has no idea who she is. She only remembers her sister, who’s she’s looking for.” Bosco told Raymond.

“Okay, why’s she your cousin then?” Raymond asked.

“She’s sticking to me like glue. She won’t leave! So I had to make up something to tell Nancy! You know how women are!” Bosco said as Raymond chuckled.

Bosco got up. “Mind if I get a drink?”

“Sure!” Raymond said. “While you’re at it get me a cup of XO.”

Raymond leaned against the leather couch and relaxed. Something, probably the smell of the lilies made it more relaxing for some reason. His thoughts were interrupted when Bosco tapped him on the shoulder.

“Uh Ray, we have a problem here.” Bosco told him.

“What?” Raymond asked.

“Your wine cabinet…seems to be empty…”
