Students pointed and whispered as Yoochun calmly walked to Junsu’s classroom. All the students admired Yoochun for his handsome features and pretty body outline but his only down fault was socializing. Everyone knew that Yoochun didn’t talk to anyone but Junsu. No one could make Yoochun smile but Junsu.
Yoochun would speak coldly if he had to and his face always had the same expression. Yoochun had a soft spot for Junsu and if anything happened to Junsu, everyone would pay for the consequences.
Moments later he reached Junsu’s classroom and waited patiently for Junsu to come out.
===
Junsu walked out of the classroom but was stopped when a classmate tugged his sleeve. “Oh Yoona Noona, what’s the matter?”
“Can you give this letter to Yoochun for me?” Yoona held out the letter that was shaped in a heart.
Junsu frowned. Why was everyone giving him their love letters? “Yoochun doesn’t like it when I give him these.”
“But you’re close to him.”
“Yoochun gets mad at me when I give him those.” Junsu replied politely. “Why don’t you give it to him? He’s not mean like everyone else says.”
Yoona hesitated for a moment. “Ok.”
“Follow me.” Junsu smiled and walked out of the classroom to find Yoochun already there. “Hi Yoochun!”
Yoochun cringed at the high and pitchy voice that Junsu had. “Are you ready for lunch?”
“Yeah, but there’s someone who wants to meet you.” Junsu gestured to Yoona who was standing behind him quietly.
Yoochun stared at the girl. He knew her, the girl had been trying to get with him since he moved here. “What is it?” His voice boomed and it made Yoona and Junsu wince.
Junsu smiled apologetically and secretly poked Yoochun’s back. “Be nice. She’s a nice girl.”
Yoochun softened at Junsu’s pleading look. He sighed before turning to face Yoona again. “What can I do for you?”
“I...uh...I just wanted to ask you something.” Yoona stuttered when Yoochun stared at her. Upper classmen and other classmates where stopping in the hallways to watch the brave girl confess to Yoochun.
“Ask.” Yoochun was getting annoyed with all the people that were staring at him.
“What is….Junsu and your relationship?” Yoona asked quietly. Junsu had a confused frown and Yoochun remained emotionless. “It’s been rumored that you two are dating secretly.”
“We’re not dating.” Yoochun replied before Junsu could speak. Junsu glanced at Yoochun. Why does those words send a weird uncomfortable feeling to his heart.
Yoona smiled. “Then….will you go out with me?”
“The answer is always no.” Yoochun replied and walked away. Junsu bowed to Yoona and quickly ran after Yoochun.
Yoona sighed. ‘No’ was the answer she has gotten for the past three years.
===
“Yoona Noona isn’t a bad girl.” Junsu whispered and looked down at his plate of food. Yoochun and him had walked to nearby restaurant to eat lunch. Yoochun stared at him. “She’s really pretty and nice.”
“And?”
“She’s really good at math just like you.” Junsu smiled and looked up at Yoochun. “You should give her a chance.”
“Would you be ok with it?” Yoochun asked. He wanted to know what Junsu was feeling.
Junsu blinked. Why was Yoochun asking him such a question? “Of course.”
“Fine, I will then.” Yoochun’s heart wasn’t happy. Was Junsu still to young to notice that Yoochun had feelings for him?
“Are you mad at me now?” Junsu asked. He didn’t want Yoochun to get mad at him. He just wanted Yoochun to accept people into his life. Yoochun was a caring person and he wanted to show that to everyone else.
“Give me your phone.” Yoochun ignored Junsu’s question and held out his hand for Junsu’s phone. Junsu pouted and took his phone out of his pocket. Yoochun took the SM card out of Junsu’s phone, took a new phone out of his bag and placed the SM card into the new phone. “Here.”
Junsu took the phone and his eyes widened. “It’s the new iPhone!”
“I haven’t been able to go to the store recently and I just bought it last night.” Yoochun replied and resumed eating his lunch.
“Why did you buy this?” Junsu asked.
“You were talking about how much you liked it, so take it as a early Christmas gift.”
“You didn’t have to buy it. I just wanted to tell you.” Junsu replied and frowned. “It must have been expensive right?” Yoochun nodded. “How much?”
“Around $100.” Yoochun lied. The phone cost around $400. He knew that if he told Junsu the real price, Junsu would want the phone returned.
“Oh….” Junsu looked at the phone. “I’ll pay you back then!”
“It’s ok. It’s a present, people don’t pay back presents right?”
“Then…I’ll buy you a present too then!”
“I’ll be waiting.” Yoochun sipped on his drink.
“Wah…so cool!” Junsu exclaimed when the phone slide open. It even had a keyboard for texting! “Then I’ll text you every single day!”
===
“Where did Yoochun go?” Changmin asked while he walked down the hallway to his next class with JaeJoong.
“He texted me and said that he and Junsu are skipping the next class and coming back for the last two classes.” JaeJoong replied.
“Junsu again?” Changmin scoffed.
“Yeah, Junsu wanted to go buy a cover for his phone that Yoochun just bought him.”
“Doesn’t Junsu already have a phone?”
“Yeah but Yoochun bought him the new iPhone.”
“He must be head over heels to buy such an expensive phone.” Changmin commented as they took their seats in the classroom. “How are things going?”
“Yoochun’s father has set up a plan to catch Choi, one of Kim’s enemies.”
“Isn’t the goal to kill Junsu’s father?”
“Yeah, but we have to take care of his other people. If we don’t they will interfere with our work.” JaeJoong explained and took out his notebook to study his notes quickly before the teacher handed out the quiz.
“When will this end? I’m tired of being here.”
“Soon hopefully.” JaeJoong looked at the window. ‘I hope Yoochun’s heart will be prepared for the ending.’
===
“What color do you think is prettiest?” Junsu asked holding up a blue and purple phone covers.
Yoochun stared at them. “Purple one.”
“That’s what I was thinking.” Junsu smiled. “Ahjumma I’ll take this purple one. How much is it?” Junsu paid for his phone cover and happily placed it over his new iPhone. “Oh! It’s so pretty!”
Yoochun’s heart felt warm. Junsu was so happy, not that he wasn’t happy all the time but he was just really happy. “Are you ready to go now?”
“We still have thirty minutes. I’m thirsty can we go buy a drink first?”
“Yeah.” Yoochun followed behind as Junsu looked around the stores for a drink.
After a few minutes of walking Junsu found a store that was selling warm drinks. “Yoochun, do you want something to drink?”
Yoochun frowned. It seemed like the store only sold sweet drinks. “No, I’m fine.”
“No you have to drink!” Junsu read the menu of drinks. “Hm…they’re all sweet and you don’t like sweet drinks.”
“Just order what you would like to drink. I’m fine I have a bottle of water with me.”
“Ok, wait for me I’ll be back.” Junsu smiled and quickly ordered his drink. “Ahjussi! I want a hot chocolate with marshmallows!”
Yoochun waited outside for Junsu, it was getting to warm in the shop for him. Junsu loved the warmth and Yoochun liked the cold. Funny how opposites attract.
“You should taste some.” Junsu’s voice interrupted his thoughts. “It’s really good.”
“I don’t like sweet things.” Yoochun forced a smile.
Junsu frowned. “Don’t fake a smile. I can tell. Please just try one sip. I asked them to not make it so sweet so we could share it.” Junsu held out the warm cup of hot chocolate.
Yoochun sighed and decided to take a sip. It wasn’t too sweet but it still had a taste of sweetness.
“How is it?”
“A bit sweet. But it’s good.”
“At least you like it a little.” Junsu took back the cup and took small sips. “Are we going back to school now?”
“If you don’t want to go anywhere else we can.”
“We can just go back to school now, I don’t think I need anything more.”
“Hm.” Yoochun strolled ahead first. After awhile Junsu finished his cup of hot chocolate and quickly ran to put his hands in Yoochun’s pockets. “Are your hands cold?”
“Yeah, I don’t have the warm cup now.” Junsu giggled when Yoochun held onto his hands. “It’s warmer now. Your hands are always warm in the winter.”
===
“Mommy, I want a big stuffed animal.” Junsu spoke into the phone. His mother was in another city doing business. “A teddy bear.”
Mrs. Kim laughed. “Why do you want a teddy bear? I thought you liked dolphins.”
“I do, but a teddy bear looks like Yoochun.”
“Yoochun?”
“Hm. Yoochun doesn’t have any expressions but when you get to know him. He is really kind.” Junsu giggled when Yoochun poked his side.
“Didn’t I tell you to call him hyung?”
“He wants me to call him Yoochun!” Junsu protested.
“Alright.”
“Mommy when are you coming home? I miss you.”
“In a few days. Has daddy been taking good care of you?”
“No! He’s never home! Yoochun and Auntie only take care of me!”
“Yah! Don’t lie to your mother!” Junsu’s father yelled, playfully. “I give you money everyday!”
“Mommy!” Junsu yelled into the phone. “Daddy is yelling at me, and he says that he wont give me money for food.”
“I will yell at him when I come home. Alright, I have to go now. I’ll call you again.”
“Ok! Bye! I love you.”
“I love you too.”
Junsu hung up the phone and smiled when his dad came over to pinch his cheeks. “Mommy said that she is going to yell at you.”
“Tsk. Always complaining to mommy.” Kim pinched Junsu’s cheeks harder and smiled. “Did you do your homework yet?”
“Nope! I don’t want to.” Junsu crossed his arms and pouted. “It’s too hard. I can’t do math.”
“Bring here I’ll help you.” Yoochun offered.
“Are you really good at math?” Junsu wriggled his eyebrows in a teasing manner.
“Yeah.”
“Alright go get your homework, Yoochun will help you.” Kim patted Junsu’s butt when he got up to go get his backpack. (in a fatherly way.)
“Thanks Yoochun, for always taking care of him.” Kim turned to face Yoochun with a smile.
“It’s ok. It’s the least I can do, you’re letting my dad and I stay here free of all costs.”
“Your father is a great help.”
“I guess.”
“Well, I’m going to be in my office if you two boys need anything just come up ok?”
“Yes.” Yoochun watched as Junsu’s father left the living room.
“This is my homework.” Junsu came back into the room still complaining about his math homework.
“What do you need help on?” Yoochun asked and scooted over for Junsu to sit beside him.
“That one.” Junsu pointed to a math problem that had drawings and numbers.
Yoochun scanned the page. “It wants you to find the equation for this.”
“How do I do that?”
“y=mxtb”
“Oh! I know how to do that.” Junsu grinned and quickly started on his homework.
Yoochun looked on as Junsu concentrated really hard on his math homework.
