“Come on over I just finished cooking,” Ron talking on the phone, “See you in about five minutes then.”
Charmaine walks out of the shower, “Who you talking to?”
“Raymond.”
Charmaine’s blood pressure was beginning to rise just by hearing the name, “Please don’t tell me his coming for dinner again? Please don’t say that…”
“I don’t get you two, why do you not like him. His a very good person,” Ron said.
“I begs to differ my brother,” Charmaine grabbed her phone on the table, “I’m going to take a walk, can't stand facing that man.”
Charmaine opened the front door, Raymond was standing at their door directly in front of Charmaine.
“Going somewhere?” Raymond said smiling.
“What’s it to you?” Charmaine replied taking a step back.
“Well I can see you trying to avoid me?”
Charmaine hated the fact that his so full of himself, “Why would I avoid you?”
Raymond walked into the apartment and sat down on the couch, “You tell me…”
Charmaine slammed the door after Raymond walked in. He was really enjoying seeing her get so angry.
Meanwhile Ron just stood there still having no idea why they were being so mean to each other, “Let’s eat shall we?”

*H&L Law Firm, 11:07am*
“Where’s your boss?” Steven asked Rain.
“He’s not back yet,” Rain answered whilst trying to cover up the magazine she was reading.
Steven and Raymond never really got along, mainly because Steven didn’t like the way Raymond dealt with his cases but more so he felt that he was a threat, someone to get rid of.
“Raymond,” Steven called out seeing him walk into the firm.
“May I help you?” Raymond said after sneezing.
“Why is Louisa So’s files all transferred to you?”
Raymond coughed a bit, “She wanted me to be her lawyer,” and continued coughing.
“Where you going to inform me?” Steven asked quite mad.
“I left you a note,” Raymond’s face became a bit paler and felt a little faint. He could feel that he was being a little off balance.
Steven kept on talking to him but the surrounding noises were enhanced and Raymond couldn’t concentrate.
“Look, whatever,” and opened his office door and stumbled in leaving Steven outside.
Steven returned to his office and sat on his chair, “Raymond Lam, so arrogant, so full of confidence. Not if I can do anything about it.”
#Knock knock#
Rain opened the door slightly, “Ray.”
Raymond was lying back on his chair with his eyes closed.
“Ray, go home you look terrible,” Rain said closing the door behind her.
Raymond opened his eyes, “I’m fine… its nothing…” and began coughing.
“Raymond Lam I said go home and rest now,” Rain putting on her aunt figure tone.
“Fine, fine you don’t have to use my full name, I’m going…”

*Alexander Building, Floor 38, 12:14pm*
Raymond arrived at his front door and could barley stand himself up to walk properly. He reached in his suitcase searching for his keys, “Damm… left them at home,” he though to himself. He reached in his pocket to get his phone to ring Bosco but could find his phone, thinking to himself again, “what’s wrong with me?” By this time Raymond felt tired and dizzy, he sat at his front door and fell asleep.
Charmaine having a day off work had just arrived home from the supermarket saw Raymond sitting on floor by his front door sleeping. Charmaine ignored him and went straight into her apartment. Twenty minutes later she walked outside to throw the rubbish out and saw Raymond still sitting there sleeping. She walked closer and saw his face all pale and sweating.
Charmaine tapped him on the shoulder, “Oi…”
Raymond made a noise but still had his eyes closed. Charmaine felt his forehead, which was flaming hot.
“Oi… are you alright?” she asked.
Raymond opened his eyes slightly, “What do you want?”
Charmaine stood back up disgusted by his arrogance and walked back into her apartment shutting the door behind her.
“His such an idiot…” she said to herself, “but I can’t just leave him outside.” Charmaine thought about it for a while, “His so annoying,” and walked back outside.
Charmaine walked back to Raymond and grabbed his arm putting it around her shoulder lifting him up. She walked him back to her apartment and laid him on the couch.
Charmaine stood there looking at him for a while muttering to herself, “Why am I even helping him?” She shook her head and walked into her room grabbing her blankets and resting it on top of him. She was about to grabbed some medicine but remembered eating medicine on an empty stomach isn’t that good.
“Oi… did you eat anything this morning?” Charmaine asked quite annoyed.
“No…” Raymond said weakly.
Charmaine walked into the kitchen to see if there was anything to eat, there were some food but nothing suitable to give to a sick person. “I cannot believe this…” she said still annoyed at the fact she had to look after someone she didn’t like.
For the first time in many years Charmaine put on an apron and for someone who doesn’t cook she decided to make to easiest dish, porridge. Raymond opened his eyes slightly, he saw Charmaine in the kitchen having no idea what she was doing and making a complete mess of herself. He wasn’t sure if it was because he was drowsy but he was beginning to see a different side of her, something he never thought he would ever see.
Charmaine had just finished making the porridge and was still complaining to herself about Raymond, “Stupid lawyer, making me feel like a slave…”
Charmaine put the porridge down on the coffee table next to Raymond, “Here… eat this.”
Raymond reached over and grabbed the bowl but his hands were shaking almost spilling the porridge.
Charmaine saw and quickly took the bowl off him, “do you know how much effort it took for me to make this?” She began feeding him and telling him off at the same time, “Aren’t you suppose to be a man, look at you all weak just from a little cold…”
Raymond kept on staring at her and eating the porridge without making any of his usually remarks.
Charmaine’s phone rang she reached in her pocket and picked it up, “Hello… yep hold on…” and walked into her room.
Raymond laid back down on the couch and fell asleep having a weird but good feeling inside of him.
It was 7’oclock when Raymond woke up just as Ron arrived home from work.
“Ray, your up…” Ron said putting his things down, “you feeling better? My sister rang me and told me you were sick.”
Raymond sat up properly, “where is she?”
“Out I think,” Ron went into the kitchen and whipped on his apron, “did you eat anything yet?”
“Yeh, your sister made me some porridge…”
“Ha… really? Was it eatable?” Ron asked laughing.
“It tasted really good…” Raymond said switching on the TV.
There was some left over in a pot so Ron decided to try out this really good dish that Raymond claims to have tasted. He took a bite and spat it out straight away. “Ahh… What is this? It taste all salty and burnt, you must be really sick Ray… can’t even taste properly,” Ron said rinsing his mouth out with water.
Raymond sat back on the couch not really knowing why but he really thought it tasted great, was it his taste buds being affected by being sick or was it something else.
