Charmaine and Bosco entered Grand Jewel’s Building, “Hello, we are from the Kowloon Police department, are we able to speak to the CEO of your company in regards to the robbery that occurred yesterday at one of your franchises?” Bosco asked showing his police identification.
“Ms. Choi is scheduled to be back in twenty minutes, did you want to wait for her come back another day?” the receptionist said looking at the computer screen checking the schedules.
“We’ll wait, thanks,” Charmaine thanked the receptionist and sat on the lounge in the lobby with Bosco waiting for the CEO to return.
“How’s Myolie?” Charmaine asked.
“She’s still a bit shaken up from being taken hostage, the doctor said its best if she has company with her,” Bosco looked at his watch and ten minutes had already passed.
Ada Choi was the CEO of Grand Jewels she also inherited the company after her parents past away a few years back. Ada was a very glamorous lady; she had a natural elegance about her.
“Ms. Choi there are you police officers here to see you about the robbery yesterday,” the receptionist pointed in Charmaine and Bosco’s direction.
Charmaine and Bosco stood up and walked over to Ada, “Hi, you must be the CEO of the company, I’m sergeant Charmaine Sheh and this is my colleague Bosco Wong. Do you have time to answer some questions about the robbery that occurred at one of your franchises yesterday?”
Ada’s personal assistant, Kenny Wong took out a PDA and browsed through it, “Ms. Choi you have fifteen minutes to spare before attending a meeting.”
“How can I help you?” Ada asked taking her sunglasses off.
Bosco took out a notepad and pen to write down what was being said.
Charmaine began to explain about the incident that occurred during the robbery, “Yesterday during our operation something very strange occurred, usually we would treat this a normal robbery, although the crime scene did look a robbery the amount of jewels actually packed inside the robbers bags was much less than what could have been taken. Also the leader of the robbers shot and killed his own men before escaping. We think this is more of a vengeful case so far, do you know of anyone who would want to gain revenge of your company?”
Ada thought for a while, “Our Company has always had a healthy relationship with our competitors, I’m not sure who will perform such an act just to get revenge.”
“How is the relationship between your company and the workers?” Bosco continued to record what Ada was saying.
“We provide a very good atmosphere amongst employees but in every company there will always be employees that come and go.”
Kenny looked at his watch, “Ms. Choi we have to go now.”
“Thanks for the help, Ms. Choi,” Charmaine shook Ada’s hand.
“If you need any more information contact my assistant and he will organise time for me to see you,” Ada put her sunglasses back on and walked to the elevator.
“What do you think madam?” Bosco asked handing Charmaine the notes he took.
“There’s not enough information at the moment,” Charmaine tapped her head thinking, “I think we should go back to the station and follow the inventory lead. That might give us lead about the robbers.”
Ada walked into her office and dialled a number.
“Hello, Steven Ma speaking…”

*Outside Kowloon Police Station, 1:14pm*
Charmaine and Bosco arrived back at the station, “Madam, I think I might go to the hospital during the lunch break. The doctor still thinks Myolie needs company and she said she doesn’t have many friends,” Bosco had a worried look on his face.
“Go ahead, while your there ask her if you noticed anything about the robbers, that’s if she’s alright to talk about it.”
Charmaine walked up the stairs with her stomach rumbling with hungry, she held onto her stomach, “What was I thinking eating so little…so stupid.”
“Madam Sheh,” a familiar voice called out to her.
Charmaine looked up, “Steven, what are you doing here?”
“Just came to ask you out…” Steven said casually.
“Ask me out where?” Charmaine asked.
“On a date.”
Charmaine was pretty shocked hearing him say that, “On a what?”
Steven moved a little closer to Charmaine, “Are you doing anything for lunch?”
Charmaine backed away a little, “I’m not hungry…” but her stomach gave it away by rumbling again.
Steven chuckled a little, “Well I’ll wait until one day you are hungry to have lunch with me.”
“Uhh… I have a lot of work to do,” Charmaine gave an awkward smile and ran back into the police station.
Steven turned around and put on his sunglasses with a somewhat confidence face and left the station.

*Hospital, 1:45pm*
“How you feeling?” Bosco asked Myolie cutting her a pear to eat.
Myolie took a piece, “I think I’m fine but I still cant sleep at night, those few hours keep on repeating itself every time I close my eyes or when I’m alone.”
Bosco could see fear in Myolie’s eyes, he pats her on the shoulder, “It’s going to be ok, if you need someone to talk feel free to talk to me. You can come by the station and hang out with my colleagues and me, you wont feel so alone then.”
Bosco gets up and walks towards the door. Myolie jumped up from her bed, “where are you going?”
“I’m just going to wash my hands, I’ll be back,” Bosco smiles and leaves the room.
“Don’t leave me here alone…” Myolie says quickly.
Bosco turns around and sees Myolie’s desperation to not be alone and sits back down with his sticky hands.

*Alexander Building, Floor 38 Apartment B, 7:21pm*
Charmaine had been staring at the TV for the pass hour not even noticing what she was watching. Ron who had been in the kitchen for the pass hour walked out seeing Charmaine sitting and staring.
He walked closer to the TV realising she was watching a documentary about the different cactus species, “Are you feeling alright?” he sat down next to her worried, knowing something was wrong.
Charmaine opened her mouth wanting to tell but was hesitant and shook her head.
“Come on… what is it? Just tell me,” Ron shifted closer to her wanting her to tell him what was going on.
Charmaine switched the TV off, “Do you know who Steven Ma is?”
“Yeh… what about him?” Ron
“Well… he asked me out today…” Charmaine said really quietly.
Ron jumped up from his seat, “He what? That’s such great news, someone finally asked you out. I thought this day would never come…”
“What do you mean by that?” Charmaine feeling a bit offended.
#Ding Dong#
“Hold on,” Ron ran to the door, “Ray, come on in…”
Charmaine sat up right as soon as she heard his name, “What are you doing here again? Don’t you have your own house?”
“I invited him sis, anyways enough about Ray, tell me are you going to go out with Steven?” Ron was very excited about his sister finally dating.
“You can’t go out with him!” Raymond blabbed out uncontrollably.
“Why do you even have an opinion? This has nothing to do with you,” Charmaine said callously.
Raymond was fighting for a good excuse to use, “I know Steven, he doesn’t like your type,” as soon as Raymond said that he realised he had used the wrong words, although it was killing himself inside for saying something so stupid but on the outside he kept an unemotional face.
Charmaine stood up anger to the max and threw the remote control in Raymond’s direction missing him by an inch, “What’s wrong with my type? You know what, maybe I will go out with him now… in fact I think I might call him now!” Charmaine grabbed her phone and stormed into her room slamming the door.
Raymond stood there motionless again thinking how brainless it was for him to make another stupid comment, on the other hand Ron was extremely gleeful that his sister is finally going on a date.
