Raymond kept his hand behind his back, “I don’t have anything behind my back.”
“I felt you searching around in your jacket pocket, what is it just show me,” Charmaine insisted.
“It’s nothing, its just a tissue,” Raymond lied.
Charmaine tried reaching for his hand, “What’s there to hide? Is it a picture of another woman, just show me?”
“Fine, it’s a picture of another woman,” Raymond kept his hand behind his back not wanting to show Charmaine.
Charmaine gave up, “If you don’t want to show me than its fine by me, I’m going to sit in the car,” she stood up and Raymond followed.
He turned around to head back to the car with his hands still behind his back, Charmaine saw the opportunity and took the case out of his hand.
Raymond turned around, “Don’t…”
Charmaine had already opened it. Raymond’s romantic perfect proposal was ruined, he stood there watching out for Charmaine’s reaction.
“There’s nothing inside,” Charmaine said.
“What?”
“There’s nothing inside,” she repeated.
“That can’t be right I checked it like a thousand times to see if the ring was inside before I left. I can’t believe this, I was going to ask you to marry me tonight but everything just didn’t go to plan,” Raymond took the ring case off Charmaine and saw the ring sitting nicely inside.
“I was only joking,” Charmaine said with a cheeky grin.
Raymond thought if he didn't ask now he didn't know when would be his next chance, "Hold on," he ran back to his car and took out a piece of paper from his suitcase and started folding it into a flower. He then took out a $100 note from his wallet and started folding it into a love heart.
Raymond ran back to Charmaine and held onto her hand looking into her eyes, “The moment I saw this ring I knew it was the meant to be for you, I bought it a long time ago and really wanted to give it to you. You’re the single most important person in my life, having met you is the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
Charmaine’s eyes became all red and teary, Raymond held her hand close to his heart, “I want to spend the rest of my life taking care of you, I want to eat the burnt food that you cook everyday, I want to wake up next to you everyday knowing that I am the luckiest guy ever.”
Tears began flowing down Charmaine’s cheeks hearing Raymond’s words. He turned around and took the ring out of the case placing the ring on the love heart $100 note which was placed on the paper flower he made. He turned back around facing Charmaine, “I know this isn’t the best place to propose, I had everything planned so it would be a memorable and perfect night but everything didn't go to plan. But...” Raymond got down on one knee and presented his little creation, “Will you marry me?”
More tears flowed down from Charmaine’s eyes, “You’re so cheesy.”
“Cheesy as in you will marry me?”
She looked into Raymond’s eyes smiling and nodded her head.
Raymond put the ring on her finger and stood up hugging her tightly, “I love you.”

*Alexander Building, Floor 37 Apartment D, 7:41am*
Bosco was not only in Jessica’s apartment at night cooking dinner but he was also there in the morning making breakfast. Jessica walked out of her room wearing her snoopy pyjama’s.
“Morning, go brush you teeth and eat,” Bosco said pouring some juice into a cup.
“Don’t forget we have plans with Myolie tonight,” Jessica took a sip of her juice.
Bosco pulled a face, “Do we have to go?”
“I already said we would go together, can’t you be just be friends with her. You said it yourself that she doesn’t have anyone.”
“That was before she went all crazy over me,” Bosco said bringing the food to the table.
Jessica laughed out loud, “Bosco don’t get such a big head, she’s over you now. She said it herself. Just come, you said you would.”
“Fine but I’m only doing this because of you though.”
“It’s a deal then, no backing out. When you see her try not to mention the past, take it from me women don’t like to mention embarrassing things,” Jessica started eating without brushing her teeth.

*Middle of No Where, 8:00am*
Charmaine was leaning on Raymond’s shoulder, both in the car asleep. Raymond was woken up by a knocking on the window, he opened his eyes to see a uniformed police officer standing
Raymond nudged Charmaine, “Hey, wake up,” he wind down the window.
“What are you guys doing here?” the officer asked.
“Our car broke down last night, so we got stranded here,” Raymond said getting out of his car.
The officer looked at Charmaine in the car, “Can I have a look at you identification and drivers license.”
Raymond took out his ID and license from his wallet and gave it to the officer, “Can I have a look at yours too please,” the officer asked Charmaine.
Charmaine stepped out of the car and took out her ID as well as her police ID and showed it to the uniformed police.
“Thanks madam,” the officer handed her ID back to her and saw the ring on Charmaine’s finger, “Just thought i might let you guys know that if you follow the road and walk for another thirty minutes, there’s actually a restaurant.”
Raymond and Charmaine looked at each other and laughed, “Thanks officer.”

*Kowloon Police Station, 10:13am*
Bosco was staring into space thinking about the dinner plans he is having with Jessica and Myolie.
“Bosco!” Kenneth tapped Bosco on the shoulder.
Bosco looked at Kenneth blankly, “Yeh?”
“Are you alright?” Kenneth asked pulling a chair over.
Bosco thought about it, “If some chick was crazily in love with some guy and then all of a sudden wants to become friends with that guy and his girlfriend, do you think there is something wrong with that chick?”
“Maybe that chick thought it through and thinks that guy isn’t that great.”
Bosco thought about it a bit more, “You do have a valid point. Anyways what’s up?”
“I just wanted to pick up a file that you have,” Kenneth grabbed the file and slid back to his working area.
Bernice and Linda were chatting on the other side of he room, “Did you hear the news about madam?” Linda asked.
Bernice was looking through some files, “What news?”
“An officer today was patrolling around The Peak and saw madam with Raymond Lam. They spent the whole night in his car because it broke down and the officer said that madam was wearing an engagement ring on her finger,” Linda accidentally saying this information too loud.
Bosco and Kenneth both heard and stood up, “What?” They ran across the room, “Is madam engaged to my cousin now?” Bosco asked.
“Not confirmed yet but that’s what the officer said he saw a ring,” Linda continued to say.
“I cannot believe this, this is such great news,” Bosco said pretty shocked and happy at the same time, “we only found out that they were going out not so long ago.”
“Yeh, they’ve been hiding it for such a long time. We don’t even know when they actually started to go out and now they’re getting married, wait till I tell Ron about this,” Bernice added.
Charmaine entered the station and walked down the hallway to Team A’s head quarters. Several officers passed her and looked at her giggling. Charmaine smiled back at them having no idea why they were being so weird. She walked into her the room and saw everyone crowding around Bernice’s desk. “What’s going on?”
Bosco and Kenneth turned around smiling and began to clap their hands, Bernice and Linda walked up to Charmaine, both hugging her. Charmaine was choking from their hug, “Why is everyone being so weird?”
