Bosco waits patiently outside Madam Wong’s office thinking why she would want to see him before he begins his shift, already wearing his uniform he pulls on his shirt making himself look more presentable than he already is. He stands outside still thinking about why he is being called, then it suddenly struck him.
He mumbles to himself, “crap, I bet its because I pulled out my gun the other day and the madam complained about me. Should of thought things through first… so stupid” and hits himself on the head.
#Knock Knock#
Bosco opens the door, “PC 30457 reporting to you madam.”
“Take a seat Bosco.”
Bosco gave a huge gulp and sat down.
“I struggled a bit thinking about this because I know that you were the top student in the year you graduated in the Police Academy and I didn’t want to let such a great student leave my team…” Madam Wong said holding onto an envelope.
Bosco stared at the envelope with only one thought in his head, “Oh no… I going to get fired, that’s just great.”
“… so I think that this would be the best option,” Madam Wong handed him the envelope.
Bosco opened the envelope slowly, almost 100% sure that he was going to be fired. He read a few times not really believing what he was reading, “Madam Wong…”
“Madam Sheh had a special request for you to join her team.”
Bosco’s worried face lit up with a huge smile.
“Don’t be too happy, its all based on you performance, because you can be sent right back here, so don’t let me down.”
Bosco stood up, “I won’t let you down madam,” and saluted Madam Wong before walking out of her room. Bosco walked back to the locker room and began jumping up and down full of joy, only to realise that there were several other people in the locker staring at him.

*Court House, 2:12pm*
Raymond walked out of the courthouse after another successful win. Ron who was heading to the courthouse recognised that familiar face.
“Raymond…” Ron greeted.
Raymond turned around seeing his good friend from Cambridge University, “Hey, buddy,” and shook Ron’s hand. “When did you come back, you didn’t even tell me.”
“Just came back, work has been hectic,” Ron looked at his watch, “Ray, I’m running late, defiantly have to meet up, I’ll call you.”
Ron ran into the courthouse where Jessica was waiting for him, “You’re 2mins late.”
“Sorry, here are the documents you wanted,” and handed her the files she needed for court.
The hearing had started and Ron stayed back to listen and to make reference and to learn from his supervisor. Hours passed by and the hearing had finally come to an end.
Jessica was packing her files away in her suitcase and walked up to Ron who was making notes. “Have you had lunch yet?”
“Not yet.”
“I’m meeting my sister here for lunch, want to join us?” Jessica suggested.
Ron thought this would be the best time to bond with his superior, “Sure thing.”
“Ok, just wait outside for me, just need to settle some things.”
Ron walked outside the courthouse and took his glasses off the clean; he put them back on and saw a Bernice sitting on a bench under a tree.
He walks over to her, “Hey, remember me?”
Bernice quite surprised to see Ron, “Hi.”
“Are you feeling better?”
Bernice remembering the incident of her falling into the pool said shyly, “I fine, thanks for saving me.”
“So what are you doing here?” Ron asked sitting down next to her.
“I’m just meeting my sister,” Bernice replied not looking directly at Ron, “there she is,” pointing to Jessica walking in her direction.
“So you two already met,” Jessica said standing in front of them, “Ron’s joining us for lunch.”
Bernice hearing this had an automatic reflex to smile out joy but she tried to cover it up by coughing.
#Ring ring#
“Excuse me,” Ron picks up his mobile, “Ron speaking.”
Charmaine was on the other side of the phone, “Hey bro, can you pay the electricity bill today? I don’t have time have a case to follow. Thanks your great.”
“You owe me one sis.”
“Sure, I’ll cook you a meal one day.”
“And I will be waiting for that one day to come. Bye,” Ron shaking his head thinking he would have to wait years till Charmaine cooks a decent meal and ends his phone call. “Sorry Jessica I guess I won’t be able to have lunch with you today, have to do something for my sister.”
Bernice’s face of joy suddenly turned to misery but tried to hide this look by coughing again.

*H&L Law Firm, 3:16pm*
Charmaine and Kenneth returned to H&L Law firm, “Hello, I’m Kenneth Ma from the Kowloon police department, this is Sergeant Charmaine Sheh, we would like to speak to the person in charge in regards to a case please.”
“The partners of the firm are not in today, but the supervising lawyer Raymond Lam is here if you want to talk to him.”
“Sure, he should be able to help us out,” Charmaine said.
“Just head towards the end of the firm and his assistant Rain would buzz him for you.”
Charmaine and Kenneth thanked the receptionist and walked into the firm. H&L is one of the leading firms in Hong Kong with a reputation for winning their cases as well as having three of the top lawyers in just one firm.
“Hi, Rain is it? I’m Kenneth Ma from the Kowloon police station, this is Sergeant Charmaine Sheh, would we be able to speak to the supervising lawyer in regards to a case?”
Rain Lau is Raymond’s secretary as well as aunt but no one in the firm knows about their relationship, “I’ll call him and let him know that you’re here, take a seat for the time being.” Rain buzzes Raymond in the office, “Ray, there is two police officers, a Sergeant Charmaine Sheh and Kenneth Ma here to see you.”
A few seconds later Raymond buzzes back on the intercom, “tell them to wait.”
Ten minutes had passed and Charmaine and Kenneth were still waiting outside for Raymond. Charmaine looked at her watch, another ten minutes had passed. She gets up and walks to Rain, “excuse me, would you be able to inform Mr. Lam that we need to ask him a few questions in regards to a case.”
“Sure thing,” Rains buzzes Raymond again, “Ray the police are still waiting for you.”
Raymond buzzes back, “Tell them to wait. I’m doing something.”
Charmaine walks back to Kenneth, “What a snob, just because his a big hot shot lawyer thinks everyone has to abide to his time… gees.”
Kenneth knew were this was going to lead after a while, “Madam, I’ll get you a drink.”
Raymond was in his office trying to fix his hearing aid. He has always had a hearing problem in his hearing ever since an incident when he was studying in the UK, ever since then he was advised to wear a hearing aid. No one besides his aunt Rain and his cousin Bosco knew about his hearing problem, Raymond hides it really well by using a hearing aid that blends with his hair colour as well as using his hair to cover it.
Another fifteen minutes had passed by; Raymond had finally fixed his hearing aid and quickly put it back onto his ear and buzzed Rain, “Tell them to come in.”
#Knock knock#
Raymond stood up preparing to greet the two officers. Charmaine walks in the door with a smile on her face but that smile was wiped quite fast after seeing the supervising lawyer that made them wait for a long time was Raymond.
