Rain walked closer to Raymond’s desk, Steven didn’t know what he would do if she found him out he reached into Raymond’s open draw and grabbed a pair of scissors. She walked to the edge of his desk but got distracted by her phone ringing at her desk outside. She walked outside and picked up the phone, “Hello.”
Raymond was on the other side of the phone, “Did you get the documents I wanted?”
“Raymond Lam, is that the way you ask your aunty to do you a favour?” Rain asked not being very happy.
“No but that’s the way I ask my assistant,” he joked. “Sorry, did you get them yet? I need them as soon as possible.”
Rain took the documents off her desk, “I’ve got them here, I’ll bring it up to your apartment. I also want to officially meet your wife to be.”
Steven stayed hidden under Raymond’s desk and listened to Rain going into the elevator and leaving the firm. He got up from underneath the desk and continued searching for the files but couldn’t find them, he switched the computer off and dialled Ada Choi’s number.
“Ms. Choi the fraudulent files I planted in Raymond’s computer are missing I think he knows,” Steven reported the Ada.
“What? How can you let him find out?”
“I don’t know, what do I do now?” Steven panicked for advice.
Ada thought for a while, “I want you to tell Charmaine that you planted the files into Raymond’s computer.”
“What?! Wouldn’t she arrest me for that?” Steven had no idea what Ada was up to.
“All you have to tell her is that someone is blackmailing you to do these things, that you’re being forced, you had no choice. Just make something up. This way she wouldn’t suspect you,” Ada told Steven.
“What about Raymond Lam he would know and he probably told Charmaine.”
“That’s why you approach her first she’s a police, whether she believes you or not she would have to investigate into this matter. Obviously try to make it more believable; I will help you out with this.”
Steven hung up the phone and left the building quickly before anyone else came back.

*Alexander Building, Floor 37 Apartment D, 7:05pm*
Bosco and Jessica lay on the couch, “I’m so tired, posing for photos really takes it out of you,” Jessica said yawning.
“Yeh I know,” Bosco yawned as he watched Jessica yawn, “How was court the other day?”
“It was good, but the weirdest this happened I had several pages from my documents missing,” Jessica said switching on the TV.
Bosco sat up, “ What happened?”
“I don’t know but luckily Ron was able to bring me a back up copy.”
“Was Myolie there?” Bosco asked.
Jessica looked at Bosco, “Don’t be so stubborn, Myolie’s changed she went to court with me because she’s interested in law.”
“It’s not that simple, pages have never been missing from your documents before. But how coincident that when she works at the department of justice you pages go missing just before court,” Bosco told Jessica really concerned.
Jessica was getting frustrated discussing the same topic over and over again, “Bosco, I know you a police and you have this knack for suspecting people but this isn’t work. I just don’t want to suspect the wrong person Myolie’s changed. I see her at work and she’s really hard working and she’s really nice to everyone.”
“It could be all an act,” Bosco inferred.
“Yes, Bosco life is so dramatic. I’m really tired. I don’t want to talk about it,” Jessica stood up and walked into her room leaving Bosco sitting on the couch.

*Alexander Building, Floor 38 Apartment A, 8:00pm*
Charmaine was sitting on the couch watching TV with her legs on the table while Raymond was in the bathroom taking a shower. She was watching a sitcom on TV and was laughing really loudly. Rain walked to Raymond’s front door and could hear Charmaine laughing.
Rain opened the door, Charmaine jumped up very alert, she recognised Rain as Raymond’s assistant but didn’t know she was the aunty, “Why do you have keys to this apartment?”
“Because Raymond gave them to me,” Rain answered, “Where’s Raymond?”
Charmaine gave a very suspicious look, “Why?”
Raymond walked out of the shower drying his hair with a towel, “Aunt Rain, didn’t expect you to be here so soon.”
“You’re his aunt?” Charmaine asked.
Rain nodded her head and sat down on the couch. Charmaine stayed standing up, she didn’t know why but she actually felt quite intimidated by her. Raymond sat down next to Rain, “Did you bring me my documents?”
“Here,” Rain handed Raymond the documents and stared at Charmaine.
Charmaine looked on the ground trying not to make direct contact, Raymond browsed through the files, “Great, thanks a lot.”
“Not long till the wedding, have you thought about how many children you two are going to have?” Rain asked Charmaine.
“Not really, we actually haven’t talked about that yet,” Charmaine answered kind of scared.
Rain kept on interrogating, “Are you planning on staying at home and being a housewife?”
“Umm…” Charmaine really didn’t know how to answer.
Raymond could see Charmaine feeling quite uncomfortable so he jumped in relieving the awkwardness, “Actually I want Charmaine to keep her job, you know police and lawyer both enforces of the law.”
“I think that she shouldn’t stay a police after she gets married, its dangerous and the hours are unstable. I think women shouldn’t have these types of jobs anyways,” Rain said very directly to Charmaine.
Charmaine again didn’t know how to respond, “Well… It’s…”
Raymond again jumped in, “Didn’t Ron want you to do something for him,” he winked at Charmaine trying to save her from his aunt.
“Um… yeh, sorry I have to go now. Nice meeting you,” Charmaine left the apartment quickly with the help of Raymond.
Raymond glared at Rain, “What was that? Why are you being so mean to my future wife?”
“I was just testing her.”
“Testing her for what?” Raymond asked.
“To see if I like her or not and if she’s good enough for you or not,” Rain replied. “And I like her, although she’s not the most feminine lady but I like that quality about her.”
Raymond looked confused and shook his head, “Right…”

*Convenient Store, 10:32pm*
Charmaine didn’t go home because she knew Ron was with Bernice so she didn’t want to disturb them. She bought some snacks from the convenient store, as she walked out she saw Steven on the other side of the road, he was being followed by three other men.
Something wasn’t right so she followed them from a distance, the three men walked closer to Steven then all of a sudden they pulled him into a dark alleyway. Charmaine ran up to the alleyway and could hear Steven screaming in pain.
“I won’t do it again, I’m not going to be apart of this anymore!” Steven shouted.
“You don’t have a choice, its either help us get rid of Raymond Lam or younger brother won’t see day light anymore,” the man blackmailed him then punched him in the stomach.
Charmaine moved closer so she could have a better view, she saw two men pinning Steven on the floor. His face was bruised and his clothes were half ripped off.
“Don’t hurt my brother!” Steven shouted but in a very weak voice.
The man stopped punching Steven, “So you will help plant more fraudulent files to kick Raymond Lam out of the firm?”
“Raymond’s a good guy, I don’t want to do this to him. He doesn’t deserve it,” Steven was beginning to loose strength.
The man picked Steven up by his collar, “You have no choice,” he threw Steven back on the ground and with the two other men started brutally kicking him.
Charmaine ran into the alleyway, “Stop! Police!” The three men stop beating Steven up and ran in the other direction, Charmaine was going to follow but Steven had suddenly spat out blood. She quickly attended to him, “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine,” Steven gave a weak smile and fainted.
