Bernice kept stuttering and crying, “Something has happened to Ron.”
“Bernice you have to calm down, where did Ron go?” Charmaine asked trying to stay strong.
“He went to the convenient store to buy some thing,” Bernice said not being able to stop crying.
Charmaine was beginning to shake, Ron was the only family she has left she wouldn’t know what to do if anything happened to him, “Ok we’ll go to the convenient store and look from there.”

*Outside the Convenient Store, 10:00pm*
Charmaine looked around; there was only two ways to go from here. She picked up her phone and rang Bosco, “Bosco come to the convenient store near our apartment now. Ron is missing.”
Within a matter of minutes Bosco and Jessica met up with Charmaine, Raymond and Bernice, “What happened?” Bosco asked.
“We’ll explain later but right now we have to find Ron. Bosco and Jessica you two go this way,” she pointed to the left hand side, “and Raymond Bernice and I will go this way. Keep in touch.”
Bosco and Jessica began searching for Ron, “What’s going on?” Jessica asked.
“I think Ron is in trouble,” Bosco ran up the street but there was no sign of Ron.
Charmaine, Raymond and Bernice began their search for Ron but he was no where to be seen. Ron was lying on the ground becoming weaker and weaker but he didn’t give up and kept himself awake. More blood was pouring out of his wound.
“Ron!” Bernice shouted out, “Ron, answer me!”
Charmaine could feel herself about to breakdown but she had to stay strong and alert. She began dialling Ron’s mobile number.
Ron could hear the ring tone of his phone, he tried picking up but was too weak. Charmaine hung up the phone, at this time she Raymond and Bernice walked passed the alleyway that Ron was in. He could hear them shouting out his name but could not respond. Charmaine dialled Ron’s phone again at this time he used up his remaining strength and pressed the answer button.
The phone was connected, “Ron! Where are you?” Charmaine asked.
There was no answer but a lot of background noise but Charmaine couldn’t tell if it was the background noise from Ron’s phone or where she was, “Ron can you hear me? Can you talk?” Charmaine kept asking, she turned to Raymond and Bernice, “I can’t hear him, there’s too much background noise here.”
Raymond took the phone off Charmaine and took his hearing aid out of his left ear then placed the phone in his right ear. He listened carefully to Ron’s side of the phone, “I can hear a car passing by.” Raymond kept listening, “Another car is driving by and sounds like the car jammed on their breaks making a skidding sound.”
Charmaine looked on the street; she saw a car jamming their breaks making a skidding sound, “He’s around here somewhere.”
All three of them kept searching and stopped in front of the alleyway. Raymond put his hearing aid back in his ear and took the first step with Charmaine into the dark alleyway. He flashed the light on his phone and saw Ron lying on the ground covered with blood.
“Ron!” Raymond ran over.
Bernice and Charmaine ran over after him, “Ron!”
Ron gave a really weak smile to Bernice before he fainted.

*Hospital, 11:21pm*
Charmaine, Raymond and Bernice were in the emergency room waiting for Ron. Bosco and Jessica arrived shortly after receiving Raymond’s message. They ran into the hospital, “How is he?” Bosco asked.
“I don’t know, the doctors have been in there for a long time,” Bernice answered them with tears continuing flowing from her eyes.
“Don’t worry, Ron’s a strong guy he won’t let go that easily,” Charmaine assured Bernice but mostly she was assuring herself.
The doctors came out pushing Ron, Bernice ran up to Ron who was unconscious, “How is he?”
The doctor took his mask off, “Your lucky you found him in time, he lost a lot of blood. At the moment he is stable but I am putting him in Intensive Care to keep a close eye on him.”
Bernice followed Ron and the doctor upstairs to the wards. Jessica couldn’t leave her sister alone so she followed with Bosco.
Raymond and Charmaine were left in the emergency room, he held onto Charmaine’s hand, “Don’t worry, his fine now.”
Charmaine nodded then fainted falling to the ground. Raymond held onto her, “Doctor! Get me a doctor!” He shouted in fright, “Charmaine!”

*Choi Mansion, 11:40pm*
Myolie got off the phone really pleased hearing from the two guys who attacked Ron. She skipped into Ada’s room and sat on her bed.
“Your very happy today? Did you finally get Bosco?” Ada asked on her massage chair.
Myolie shook her head, “Nope, remember how I told you there was a lawyer in the department of justice who ruined my plan to make Jessica humiliate herself in court?”
“Are you talking about Charmaine’s younger brother Ron?”
“Yep. Since he ruined my plan I decided to give him a little lesson on interfering with other peoples business. I was going to do it before they got married but I felt like being nice so I did it after,” Myolie said really freely.
Ada closed her eyes and relaxed, “You’ve grown up Myolie.”
“I know,” Myolie gave a loud yawn, “I’m going to sleep. Night.”
Ada opened her eyes, “Your brother first, then its going to be your husband next.”

*Hospital, 2:51am*
Raymond sat by Charmaine’s bedside grasping onto the handing waiting for her to wake up. He put her hand close to his heart; Charmaine began to gain conscious again. She opened her eyes slowly, “Ray,” she said weakly.
Without thinking Raymond hugged her tightly not letting her go, “You scared me for the second time. From now on you cannot scare me like that.”
Charmaine was still feeling a bit dizzy, she patted him on the back, “I promise I won’t. How’s Ron?”
Raymond let go of Charmaine, “He still hasn’t woken up yet. Bosco and Jessica are with Bernice.”
Charmaine tried to get up, “I want to see him.”
Although Raymond knew she was a bit weak at this time but he also knew that seeing her brother was very important to her. Raymond held onto Charmaine and walked her down to the Intensive Care Unit where Bosco, Jessica and Bernice were.
They all looked through the window at Ron who was on life support; Bernice kept staring at Ron not saying a word.
“What did the doctor say?” Charmaine asked.
Bosco had a really concerned face, “He said he was doing well before but the situation is much more critical at the moment. Its all up to him now.”
“Bernice, your tired. I think you should go home and take a rest,” Jessica advised.
Bernice shook her head and kept staring at Ron. Jessica couldn’t care watching her sister like this, “Bernice, if you don’t care of yourself how are you going to take care of Ron when he wakes up. Come on,” Jessica pulled Bernice’s arm and walked her outside with Bosco.
Charmaine stood by the window with Raymond watching Ron holding on to his life, “I know you can do this bro. Do it for Bernice.”

*Convenient Store, 4:00am*
Bosco didn’t go back to the apartment with Jessica and Bernice but went to the convenient store to see if he could get any clues. He walked inside and flashed his badge, “Hong Kong Police, a brutal attack occurred near this store and the victim was last seen here. Do you have any security camera’s on the premises?”
“We do officer,” the store owner walked to the back and took out the recording for today.
Bosco browsed through and picked out the tapes that were near the time of Ron’s attack.

*Hospital, 6:05am*
Bosco knocked on the door to Charmaine’s room. He opened the door and saw Raymond sleeping on the couch but Charmaine was up, “Madam,” he whispered walking in, “I went back to the convenient store and found a recorded tape from the security camera.”
Charmaine jumped up, “Pass it here,” she put in straight into the VCR and pressed play. She and Bosco fast forward until they saw Ron appear, he was in there for a few minutes then left. Straight when her left two guys followed, Charmaine paused the tape and looked closely, “It’s them…”
