Ron could tell Moses was extremely angry with him, “Why you so angry bro?”
Moses turned around with a deadly look in his eyes, “You said only a few minutes and look what time it is. It’s almost midnight,” Moses shoved his watch in Ron’s face.
Ron pressed the code for their apartment, “I was talking to Jessica.”
“Well I wanted to come home and sleep,” Moses yawned.
Ron started laughing at Moses, “Your such an old man, sleep so early plus it’s not like you have to work tomorrow.”
“I got woken up really early this morning for no reason so I’m allowed to be tired,” Moses walked into the building half asleep.
Ron couldn’t help himself but laugh even more, “I have a day off tomorrow, do you want to come to Tower with me to buy something?”
“No,” Moses replied straight away.
“Fine, I’ll ask Jessica to come with me then. You sure you don’t want to come?”
Moses looked blankly at Ron, “That’s a definite no.”

*Tower Security Department, 2:48am*
Raymond had just finished patrolling the floors; just as he walked into the control room he received a SMS. He looked at his phone and smiled. Charmaine had sent him a message, “Don’t work too hard, you have to look after yourself.”
Raymond walked into the locker rooms; he scanned the room to see if there was anyone in there. He quickly took out his phone again and called Charmaine.
Within one ring Charmaine picked up, “Hello?”
Raymond sat on the bench, “Why aren’t sleeping?”
Charmaine sat up on her bed and switched her lamp on, “I can’t sleep. Aren’t you meant to be working?”
“I’m taking a break. Why can’t you sleep?”
“I don’t know, I just can’t. Did anything interesting happen at your work today?” Charmaine asked.
“Same as usual,” Raymond could hear someone walking into the changing rooms, “I have to go now. Go to sleep or you won’t get enough sleep. I’ll call you when I get off work.”
“Ok then, remember to take care of yourself,” Charmaine blew a kiss through the phone.
Raymond laughed a little hearing the kiss, “Sleep tight,” and blew a kiss back then hung up the phone before walking out of the control room.

*Kingswood Apartment, 39C, 5:21am*
Charmaine couldn’t sleep the whole night. She kept tossing and turning around in her bed. Even though she knew she was going to be seeing Raymond later that night but for some reason she really missed him. She sat up on her bed and looked at the clock.
“Ray gets off work at 8am, so if I make breakfast now then I can bring it to him,” Charmaine muttered to herself.
She jumped out of bed and snuck into the kitchen. She tried to make as little noise as possible. She put an apron on and started making some breakfast for Raymond.
Jessica who was sound asleep suddenly woke up to a loud bang in the kitchen, he eyes were barely open and glanced at the clock, “5:30am who is up so early?” She put on a jacket and walked outside.
Tavia walked out of her room at the same time, both were barely awake. They looked at each other then turned away and walked towards the kitchen.
“Eggs… where are the eggs?” Charmaine asked herself not realising Jessica and Tavia were both standing near the kitchen watching her.
“On the top shelf,” Tavia answered in a croaky non-awake voice.
Charmaine jumped out of fright not expecting them to be up, “You guys are up early.”
“It’s because of your extra loud banging of the pots and pan that we are awake,” Jessica yawned, “Are you really hungry or something?”
Charmaine didn’t want to tell them she was making breakfast for Raymond, “Umm… yeh… really hungry.”
Jessica shook her head and yawned again, “You’re weird…” and walked back into her room to continue sleeping.
Tavia looked completely lost. She stood leaning against the wall and almost nodded off, “Try not to make so much noise,” and wondered back into her room.
Charmaine smiled to herself and continued cooking.

*Outside Tower Shopping Centre, 8:11am*
Raymond stretched his arms and slapped his face a little to try to keep awake from a tiring night shift. He walked out of the shopping centre, a smile immediately was attached to his face when he saw Charmaine standing outside holding up a lunchbox waiting for him.
“What are you doing here?” Raymond asked as he walked up to Charmaine.
Charmaine gave him the lunchbox, “I thought you might be hungry.”
Raymond held Charmaine’s hand and walked her to a bench next to the shopping centre, “What time did you get up this morning?”
“Hmm…” Charmaine thought for a while, “Not that early.”
Raymond opened up the lunchbox, “Looks delicious. Let me try,” Raymond took a bite, “One word to describe it, perfection.”
The biggest smile appeared on Charmaine’s face hearing Raymond’s compliment, “Really?”
“I never lie,” Raymond said with a serious face, “Try it for yourself,” Raymond fed some to Charmaine, “I want to have your cook meals everyday.”
Kevin walked up the street, his face immediately turned black when he saw Charmaine and Raymond sitting on the bench together. He walked closer and put on a smile, “Morning.”
Raymond and Charmaine stood up, “Hi. Working on a Sunday?”
Kevin smiled, “Work comes first. Why are you here so early?”
Charmaine slightly glanced at Raymond.
“Here for your boyfriend?” Kevin asked.
“Morning Mr. Cheng,” Raymond greeted.
“Well I better get going,” Kevin’s smile was wiped off straight away once he entered the shopping centre. He has never lost to anything before and he was sure to keep it that way.

*Kingswood Apartment, 9:12am*
Jessica knocked loudly on the bathroom door, “Hurry up! You’ve been in there the whole morning.”
The more Jessica told Tavia to hurry up the more Tavia dawdled, “I’m almost done,” Tavia shouted while she sat on the bathtub reading a magazine.
Jessica banged on the door louder, “I know your just sitting around, Hurry up and get out! I’m meeting Ron in half an hour.”
Tavia slammed her magazine on the bench hearing that Jessica was going out with Ron again. She opened the door, “Why are you and Ron going out again?” Tavia asked angrily.
Jessica walked into the bathroom, “Why are you so angry?” Do you like him?”
“No.”
“Then what’s it to you?” Jessica asked.
Tavia didn’t answer; she glared at Jessica then turned around and walked back into her room. She sat on her bed angry at the fact that she felt Jessica was slowly creeping into her work life. Tavia grabbed her bag and left the apartment.

*Cemetery, 10:30am*
Tavia walked into the cemetery where Linda was buried. She walked towards Linda’s tombstone and sat down beside it, “Hey Linda. I know I was here last week with Dai Ga Jie but I just felt the need to talk to someone so I decided to talk to you.”
Tavia took out a tissue and wiped the photo of Linda, “I know what you will ask me if you was here and the answer is yes I am still angry at Dai Ga Jie. Even though Yi Ga Jie is much happier and open now because she’s finally back with Raymond but that still doesn’t make up for what Dai Ga Jie did. Oh yeh, Yi Gai Jie still can’t find the courage to face you which I mainly blame Dai Ga Jie,” Tavia stood up, “Well I better get going, come back another time.”
Tavia walked outside onto the pathway and stood by the side of the road waiting for a taxi. A while later a BMW sports car pulled up beside her, the windows slowly wind down and Myolie was sitting in the passenger seat, “Need a lift?”
