Charmaine was placed between Jessica and Tavia and was feeling quite awkward since she had no idea why they were being so bitter to each other, “Things haven’t changed that much since I left,” Charmaine said trying to break the silence.
“Besides for people nothing has really changed much,” Tavia said sarcastically.
Jessica stopped walking and just stood there glaring at Tavia, “What do you mean by that?”
“You know what I mean,” Tavia said while she kept on walking.
Charmaine stood there so confused as she watched Jessica pull onto Tavia arms to stop her walking, “No seriously, what do you mean by that?”
Tavia swung her arm free from Jessica’s grasp, “Let go.”
“What’s going on between the two of you?” Charmaine asked more annoyed at their constant arguing more than anything else.
“Nothing,” Tavia said annoyed. She walked up to Charmaine, “Sorry sis, I’ll have lunch with you tomorrow, I’m going back to work now,” she turned around and left.
Charmaine turned to Jessica and knew she was going to tell her what happened but before Jessica could open her mouth Charmaine interrupted, “I don’t care.”
Jessica smiled, “I know.”

*Tower Shopping Centre, 12:48pm*
Charmaine and Jessica entered the Tower Shopping Centre, the shopping centre was one of Hong Kong’s busiest and most popular shopping centres.
“So what position do you have? A toilet cleaner?” Charmaine joked.
Jessica laughed a little, “I wish but unfortunately I am only the general manager at this shopping centre.”
“Wow and you never told me about you being general manager but you tell me pointless stories about what you buy at the convenient store. Such a waste of money listening to these stories over an international call,” Charmaine laughed as they walked passed the information desk towards the escalator.
Before Jessica could come up with something to defend herself her phone began to ring, “Hello? I’m actually in the shopping centre now… but I’m with my sister… fine, fine. You owe me lunch then.”
Jessica turned back to Charmaine who was starring into space, “Hey, I have to go up to the office for a short meeting, I’ll call you when I’m done.”
Charmaine sighed and shook her head, “I don’t know dai ka jie…”
“I’ll shout you lunch next time,” Jessica said.
“So you weren’t going to shout me this meal?” Charmaine asked, “I’ll just wonder around since I’ve never been here, call me when your done.”
Jessica began walking towards the elevator, “Food court is at the top level,” she shouted out as she entered the lift.
Charmaine walked around for a while looking at random things. Charmaine was actually never big on shopping. Her stomach began rumbling, “Still haven’t eaten yet,” she said to herself.
She wondered to the escalator and headed to the top floor. Just as she reached the top floor the man behind her had suddenly grabbed her bag. Charmaine wasn’t prepared and lost balance and fell to the ground but luckily someone behind her grabbed her from the shoulders pulling her back up again. He ran towards the bag snatcher and tackled him to the ground. Two other security guards came running in their direction and handcuffed the bag snatcher.
The guy picked up Charmaine’s bag and walked towards her handing the bag to her, “Here.”
“Thanks,” Charmaine looked up and completely froze. She couldn’t believe it; she thought she would never see him again.
Raymond stood there still holding onto Charmaine’s bag waiting for her to take it. Charmaine didn’t budge but just stood in front of him staring at him. “Your bag,” Raymond reached over and took her hand and placed her bag on it. Just as he came in contact with Charmaine for that brief second he suddenly felt a strange feeling, a feeling so familiar yet strange at the same time. Although he had this feeling inside of him but he chose to ignore it. He placed the bag in her hand then turned around and left.
Charmaine stood there motionless sadden by the thought of Raymond not even being able to talk to her or even be bothered to look at her. She watched him walk further away. Although she wanted to call out to him but she restrained herself and turned around walking the opposite direction.
*Tower Conference Room, 1:15pm*
Jessica was sitting in the conference room with the other managers waiting for Kevin Cheng the CEO of Tower Shopping Centre to arrive. A few minutes later Kevin walked in the door wearing tracksuit pants and a polo shirt, “Let’s get straight to the point. What is the problem here?” Kevin asked all the managers showing them two contracts that looked practically identical except for the signatures down the bottom of the contract.
Kevin threw the contracts on the table, “Who is in charge of store 114?”
All the managers sat there looking at each other quietly. Michael cleared his throat, “Mr. Cheng I am in charge of store 114.”
Kevin sat back on his chair with a very intimidating look, “Can you explain to me why these two contracts are identical?”
“I’m…” Michael began to say.
Kevin interrupted him, “It’s because you received a large amount of money from another CEO telling you to pull this trick on Tower making me and Tower in strain? Am I right?”
Michael trying really hard to find an excuse, “I uh…”
“Security is waiting for you outside, pack your things and leave,” Kevin said calmly.
Everyone watched as Michael left the conference room. Kevin stood up from his chair, “well that’s all I wanted to say at this meeting, you guys can go now.”
Kevin left the conference room, Jessica ran out after him and hit him over the shoulder, “How did you know?”
Kevin smiled at her, “I’ve got my connections, so do you want to have lunch now?”
“Next time, I’m meeting my sister,” Jessica said pressing the down button on the elevator.
“Fine then, you’ve missed your chance,” Kevin laughed.
“You wish, I think this is like the fifth meal you owe me. That’s right Kevin, I’m keeping tabs,” Jessica stepped inside the elevator and waved her goodbyes the Kevin.
The elevator door opened up on the fifth level of the shopping centre, Jessica took out her phone and was about to call Charmaine but saw her standing by the railing starring down at the bottom levels.
Jessica walked over and looked at Charmaine then looked down the bottom levels, “What are you looking at?”
Charmaine was not expecting Jessica to be there and jumped out of fright, “Bah! People die due to fright you know?”
“I’m sure you’ll live,” Jessica said wittily back.
“Um… Have you heard…” Charmaine wanted to ask Jessica about Raymond but she couldn’t and didn’t want to ask or know about him anymore.
“Heard about what?” Jessica asked looking at the time.
“Have you heard if there is any job available here?” Charmaine answered making up a question.
“I think there is, not too sure though, I’ll look out if there is any openings,” Jessica’s stomach became to rumble, “Do you want to eat now?”
Charmaine smiled and nodded her head.

*Mong Kok Police Station, 1:55pm*
Tavia was in the locker room getting changed ready for her shift. Selena jumped out from behind trying to scare her, “Hey Tavia.”
“Your scare tactics don’t work remember,” Tavia said wearing her belt.
Selena sat on the bench, “Yeh I know, but its worth a try,” she started tying her shoelace then stopped, “Did you hear that we are getting a new Potential Inspector today? I wonder if his good looking or not.”
Tavia closed her locker draw and laughed, “That’s all you care about, good looking males. What if he is a female?”
“I never thought about that.”
Tavia looked at her watch and grabbed her hat, “Better get going.”
Tavia and Selena walked towards the briefing room and were deep in conversation. Tavia walked passed the cafeteria, she wasn’t even watching were she was going and bumped straight into Ron holding a cup of coffee spilling it all over his uniform.
“I’m so sorry,” Tavia apologised.
Ron looked at his watch and without saying anything he ran towards the changing rooms.
“I bet his the new PI,” Selena said, “Your going to be in big trouble.”
