Tavia walked out of the changing room at the same time Ron walked out, “Hey Ron.”
Ron looked up at Tavia with a non-expression face, “I’d prefer you call me Sir here,” and walked into the briefing room.
Tavia followed behind him and sat in the third row. Throughout the briefing she kept starring at him, he seemed so different from when he was at work and when he is with Jessica. Tavia wasn’t sure if its because of her or that he just liked to hang around Jessica more.
After the briefing everyone gathered in the car park ready to head out to patrol the streets. Tavia suddenly needed to use the bathroom, she ran to the bathroom and back to the car park as fast as she could.
“You’re late,” Ron said coldly.
“Sorry sir.”
Ron put his hat on, “This is your first and last warning.”
“Yes sir,” Tavia sat inside the van behind Ron.

*Kingswood Apartment, 12:09pm*
Jessica walked inside the apartment, “I’m home.”
Charmaine and Raymond walked out of Charmaine’s room, “Hey.”
“Aww… look at you two love birds,” Jessica said with a cheeky smile.
“Hey can you get me a drink?” Raymond asked Charmaine.
“Sure,” Charmaine walked to the kitchen.
Raymond pulled Jessica to the side, “Is everything planned? Charmaine knows nothing about the party?”
Jessica looked over at Charmaine who was still in the kitchen, “Everything is all done, I even told her that I’m busy tomorrow. She looked so disappointed,” Jessica saw Charmaine walking over and quickly changed the topic, “Sure Raymond, I’ll talk to your manager about it,” she said winking.
Raymond winked back, “Thanks Jess, that will be great.”
Charmaine knew something suspicious was going on, “What are you guys talking about?”
Jessica took Charmaine’s drink from her hand, “Raymond just had some problems at work and he needed my help,” she replied and started drinking the drink.
“Ahh…” Charmaine began to say.
“Yes?” Jessica asked not realising she was drinking Raymond’s drink.
Charmaine took the drink off of Jessica, “That’s my boyfriends drink.”
Jessica took the drink back off Charmaine, “I paid for the drink.”
Charmaine took the drink back off Jessica again, “No you didn’t, I did.”

*Phoenix Apartment, 7:34pm*
Moses was in the apartment peacefully listening to classical music, enjoying the quiet moment.
Ron walked in side the apartment, “Hey bro.”
“Hey.”
Ron sat down next to Moses, “Jessica invited us to a birthday party tomorrow, you have to come.”
Moses sat upright thinking he was referring to Jessica’s party, “I’m busy, I have a lot of things to do. Tell her I can’t attend her birthday party.”
Ron got up and went to the kitchen, “You do? You’re usually at home on a Sunday just sitting around doing nothing.”
Moses was trying to find an excuse not to go, “Well, I have other plans.”
“Come on, it’s Charmaine’s birthday, Jess made me promise that I will bring someone. Please, can you come?” Ron pleaded.
“Charmaine?” Moses felt relieved, “in that case I’ll make an appearance.”
“Make an appearance?” Ron began laughing, “the party isn’t held for you.”
Moses glared at Ron, “I’ll be there.”

*Kingswood Apartment, 8:18am*
Charmaine woke up and lay in bed for a while knowing she would be alone for her birthday again. She walked out of her room hoping at least she could have breakfast with her sisters.
She walked outside and sat on the couch thinking hat her sister were still sleeping. She realised there were two notes stuck onto the TV, she ripped both the notes off the TV and read it.
‘Gone out already Jess,” she read the second note, ‘Breakfast is in the kitchen, Tavia.”
Charmaine sighed, “Another year by myself,” she said to herself as she walked to the kitchen to get breakfast.
Hours had pass and all Charmaine had done was just sit around her apartment watching TV and reading magazines. She lay on the couch feeling bored as ever, she took out her phone and dialled Ryamond’s number. The phone rang a few times but no one picked up. She put her phone on the coffee table and lay there feeling more bored than ever. Her phone suddenly rang, Charmaine jumped up thinking it was Raymond who was calling her back.
“Hello?”
Kevin was on the other side, “Hey Charmaine, it’s Kevin.”
Charmaine was rather disappointed, “Hey Kevin, what’s up?”
“I need to discuss the proposal you gave me, just some minor problems. Are you able to meet me?”
“Umm…” Charmaine thought about it, since she wasn’t doing anything she might as well do some work, “Sure, I’ll just get ready and see you in a bit then.”
Charmaine quickly got changed then left her apartment. Jessica was hiding outside the apartment with Tavia and Raymond, they watched Charmaine walk into the elevator, “She’s gone.”
The three of them went back into the apartment, “Ok, everyone lets start with the decorations then food,” Jessica instructed.
Tavia was very unwilling, “Who made you boss? Raymond was the one who came up with the whole surprise party thing.”
“It’s because I’m the oldest here,” Jessica rebutted.
“Doesn’t mean you’re the best at party planning,” Tavia shot back at Jessica.
Raymond stepped in between them, “Ladies?”
Jessica and Tavia both glared at Raymond for intruding in their argument, “Yes?” the both said simultaneously.
“Can we start organising?” Raymond felt a little afraid of the two sisters arguing, “for Charmaine?”
Tavia took a bag of decorations, “Fine, but this isn’t over.”

*Cheng Mansion, 2:48pm*
Charmaine got off the taxi and stood in front of the gates leading to Kevin’s mansion, she buzzed on the doorbell and waited.
A voice spoke on the intercom, “May we help you?”
“I’m looking for Kevin Cheng,” Charmaine spoke to the intercom as she looked up at the cameras pointing down at her.
“Come through,” the gates opened.
Charmaine walked through the gates towards the front door, before she even reached the front door it had been opened for her. Kevin stood there waiting for her.
“Hey, nice place you have here. Big,” Charmaine said as she was lead in by Kevin.
Kevin laughed a little, “Too big sometimes. Its just me and my sister most of the time and she’s hardly ever home.”
Charmaine walked inside and his home was enormous, “So what’s wrong with my proposal?”
“I’ll show you,” Kevin walked up stairs with Charmaine following behind him.
The both of them worked on changes with the proposal for a few hours. Kevin watched as Charmaine worked, he really admired her attitude towards everything, he stretched his arms, “Finally finished,” he looked at the time, “Wow, 5:38pm didn’t realise we were in her for so long.”
Charmaine made a loud yawn, “Time flies when you’re working.”
Kevin got up, “Um… would you like to have dinner together tonight?”
Charmaine hesitated a bit, “I need to make a phone call,” she walked outside and dialled Raymond’s number but again no one picked up. She walked back into Kevin’s study room.
“So dinner?” Kevin asked again.
Charmaine thought about it, having dinner with Kevin would be much better than having dinner by herself, at least she had someone to celebrate with on her birthday, “Sure.”
