Charmaine held onto the case with the ring in it, she sat there frozen of all movement. She wasn’t sure what she was feeling, so many different emotions were flowing inside of her.
Raymond stood up and walked over to Charmaine. He took the ring out of the case and took Charmane’s hand, “Five years ago I made a decision which till today I regret. Although I don’t remember why I did what I did but I know it was painful.”
Charmaine stood up, “Ah…”
“I want to complete what we didn’t complete five years ago,” Raymond placed the ring on Charmaine’s finger, “Will you marry me?”
Raymond stared into Charmaine’s eyes waiting for a reaction. A bright smile appeared across Charmaine’s face, she flung her arms around Raymond, “Yes!”
A relieved smile appeared on Raymond’s face, he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly.
Kevin was inside watching their every move, although he couldn’t hear what they were saying but by their actions he knew exactly what was going on. Jessica sat down next to him, “What are you looking at?”
“Nothing,” Kevin turned around smiling.
Moses was on the other side of the couch about to fall asleep, he pulled on Ron’s shirt, “Can we go yet? I’m tired.”
“Yeh, you better go home Ron,” Myolie butted in.
Ron was confused, “What’s it to you where I go, maybe I want to sleep here tonight,” Ron said sarcastically.
Moses eyes grew wide thinking that Ron was serious, “You’re not being serious right?”
Ron and Myolie both glared at each other then just walked off in different directions. Moses quickly jumped up after Ron, “Wait! You’re not being serious about staying here right?”
Raymond and Charmaine walked back into the apartment, both were glowing with happiness. Tavia could sense something happening but she just couldn’t quite put her foot on it.
“You two look very happy,” Tavia said.
Jessica noticed the extreme happiness as well, “Yeh, a bit too happy.”
Raymond and Charmaine looked at each other and smiled. Kevin couldn’t bare watching them two together, “I’m going to head off now. See all of you at work,” Kevin took his coat, “Myolie are you coming?”
Ron had a smirk on his face, “Bye,” he yelled loudly at Myolie.
Myolie grabbed her handbag, “This isn’t the end,” then left with Kevin.
Moses stood up, “Now can we go?” he asked again tugging on Ron’s shirt.
“Fine. Jess, I’ll call you tomorrow.” Moses quickly pulled Ron out of the apartment.
Jessica stretched her arms and yawned, “Well I’m off to bed now.”
“What about cleaning?” Tavia asked standing in front of her trying to stop Jessica from walking back to her room.
“Well since I decorated it means I don’t have to clean,” Jessica yawned loudly again.
Tavia crossed her arms, “So you got the easy job.”
Charmaine shook her head, “I’ll clean” she pulled on Tavia’s arm.
Jessica and Tavia both stopped and stared at the ring on Charmaine’s finger, “Are you wearing a diamond ring on your finger?” Tavia asked.
Jessica turned to Raymond who was putting the paper cups in a garbage bag, “Did you ask my sister to marry you again?”
“Yep,” Raymond said still collecting the garbage.
“I never approved of this,” Jessica said in a very serious tone.
Charmaine and Raymond both just stood there not really knowing what to do, “Um…”
Tavia stepped in, “She can get married to whomever she wants, she doesn’t need your approval.”
Jessica knitted her eyebrows, “I was only joking, gees calm down.”
Charmaine stood between Jessica and Tavia, “Aren’t you two meant to be going to bed?”
Without saying anything further, Jessica and Tavia both went into their rooms. Raymond shook his head and laughed, “Your sisters are funny.”
Charmaine started helping Raymond but he quickly stopped her. He took her hand and sat her down, “I’ll clean.”
Charmaine sat and watched Raymond clean, she felt her eyelids getting heavier and heavier, within a matter of minutes she’d fallen asleep on the couch. Raymond finished cleaning, “I’m done,” he turned and saw Charmaine asleep on the couch.
He couldn’t help but smile at how cute she looked when she was asleep, he walked into her room and grabbed a blanket and put it over her. Raymond starred at her for a while knowing that he was going to marry her, this feeling he had defiantly felt before. It felt exactly the same when he first proposed to her. Raymond kissed her on the forehead before leaving the apartment with two bags of rubbish.
Raymond walked outside of the apartment to the dumpster. He strolled inside and threw the two bags of rubbish in the bins. He suddenly felt his heading beating very hard. He clenched his head but the pain wouldn’t stop.
“Ahhh!!!” Raymond yelled out feeling the searing pain in his head. His vision had gone blurry and everything around his looked somewhat distorted. Everything had gone pitch black as Raymond fell to the ground.

*Hospital, 2:12am*
Raymond slowly opened his eyes; he looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings. He suddenly panicked only just realising he had an oxygen mask on, “Where am I?” he asked through the oxygen mask.
The doctor removed the oxygen mask from his face, “You’re in the hospital at the emergency room.”
Raymond wanted to sit up but the nurses held him down, “You have to stay still.”
The doctors looked at his chart, “I want a x-ray and a CT done.”
Raymond had no idea what was going on. He lay on the hospital and was being pushed downstairs and had his CT scan done, then was pushed back to the temporary patients room. He sat on the bed rubbing his head.
A nurse came in, “Do you want to contact your family to pick you up Mr. Lam?”
Raymond thought about it for a while, “No it’s ok,” he couldn’t let Charmaine know he ended in hospital or she might think it was her fault again.
Moments later the doctor walked inside and looked at Raymond’s charts again, “How you feeling?”
“I’m feel fine,” Raymond sat up right a bit more, “What’s wrong with me?”
The doctor flipped through his chart, “Well I’m waiting for the X-rays and CT scans to give you a definite answer to your question.”
“Can I go then?”
The doctor gave his chart to the nurse, “Discharge this patient,” he turned back to Raymond, “You can leave now but I need you to come back to get your results.”
“Thanks doctor,” Raymond grabbed his coat and signed the discharge papers leaving the hospital.

*Cheng Mansion, 3:15am*
Kevin has not yet gone to bed, he sat in the study room flipping his pen while he went through the documents that Sunny gave him about the other shopping centres.
The phone rang and within one ring Kevin picked up, “Hello.”
“Mr. Cheng, its Sunny.”
Kevin stood up and walked to the sofa, “What do you have for me?”
“I did as you told and followed Raymond Lam. After he left the Kingswood apartment he suddenly collapsed to the ground and was sent to hospital.”
Kevin had a smirk on his face, “Really? What’s wrong with him?”
“I’m not sure yet, the results haven’t come out but I will let you know as soon as I find out,” Sunny assured Kevin.
“Good, good. That’s all for now then,” Kevin hung up the phone and sat back on his chair with a grin on his face.
