Raymond was at Charmaine’s apartment early; he wanted to make the most of today. He rang the doorbell a few times but seeing it was so early he’d doubt anyone would be awake. He was about to leave when the front door had opened.
“Morning,” he said to Tavia was up and already dressed.
“Wow, you’re really early today. Yi Ga Jie’s not even up yet,” Tavia drank the last bit of her orange juice, “I’m off to work now, see you later.”
Raymond walked towards Charmaine’s room and quietly opened her door. He crept inside her room and shut the door behind him softly. Raymond knelt down beside her bed, “Charmaine… Charmaine,” he shook her a little.
Charmaine didn’t budge and kept sleeping. Raymond watched Charmaine peacefully sleeping. His heart sunk deep and painful knowing that this may be the last time he would be with her. He stroked her face gently and leaned forward, kissing her softly on the lips. Charmaine felt the kiss and woke up seeing Raymond.
Charmaine wrapped her hands around Raymond, “I had a dream about you.”
Raymond got up and sat on her bed holding her in his arms, “Really?”
Charmaine yawned and looked over at her clock and saw it was only 6am, “Why are you here so early?”
“I miss you.”
Charmaine laughed a little and leaned on Raymond’s shoulder, “I have to get up and go to work soon.”
“Don’t go,” Raymond quickly said, “Take a day off.”
Charmaine looked up at him, “Why?”
Raymond couldn’t tell her the reason, “I want to spend some time with you today, just the two of us.”
“I guess that’s better than working,” Charmaine reached over and grabbed a piece of paper, “the bridal store called and asked if we wanted to get our wedding photos taken in the next few days, when are you free?”
Raymond felt painful inside knowing that there wasn’t going to be a tomorrow, “I have to check my timetable,” he replied with an indefinite answer.
“What do you want to do today?” Charmaine asked.
“It’s up to you.”
Charmaine thought for a while, “Don’t really feel like going out though.”
“Then we can just stay here,” Raymond suggested.
Charmaine looked up and smiled at him. Raymond smiled back and held her close to him, he closed his eyes wanting to cherish every last moment he had with her.

*Tower General Managers Office, 10:51am*
Moses was sitting in Jessica’s office working together on some minor details for the motor show exhibition. Jessica was concentrating so hard on working she didn’t make a noise for the few hours they were working. Moses had slowly figured out that although Jessica talks non-stop but when it comes to work she is really serious and he really admired her for that.
Jessica’s office phone rang, “Hello?” she answered while she kept typing on the computer, “What? No way! Can you find me another one? Ok fine, that’s ok then, thanks anyway,” Jessica hung up the phone with a very disappointed look on her face.
Moses looked up and could see Jessica quite upset but he didn’t say anything and kept working.
A few minutes later Jessica got up with her mug, “I’m going to get some coffee.”
“Ok,” Moses said as he continued to read some documents. He read to a page and realised the next page was missing, he looked around the table for the missing copy but didn’t see it. He stood up and walked around to Jessica’s side to find it, “Found it,” he picked it up and placed it in his folder. He looked on Jessica’s computer screen and noticed a crystal figurine on the screen, he took a closer look and scrolled down. It was a limited edition figurine, “Is that what she is looking for?”
Moses saw Jessica walking back towards the office and quickly sat back down on his chair. Jessica walked back in still upset not being able to find what she was looking for.

*Mong Kok Police Station, 4:21pm*
Tavia had finished her shift and walked outside to see Myolie sitting in her car waiting for her, “Hey.”
Myolie got out of her car, “Hey.”
“What are you doing here?” Tavia asked quite curious as to how Myolie knew what time she’d finish work.
“Do you want to have dinner with me?” Myolie asked.
Tavia could tell Myolie’s desperation for her to say yes, “Sure.”
“Great!” Myolie jumped in the car.
Tavia opened the door to the passenger side and was about to get in but saw Ron walking out of the station, “Ron!”
Ron walked up to Myolie’s car, “Hey.”
Myolie saw Ron walking towards them and quickly got out of her car.
“Do you want to join us for dinner?” Tavia asked.
Ron didn’t see Myolie, “Sure, that will be great.”
Myolie stood next to Tavia and crossed her arms, “That’s right, typical Ron jumping in at any chance to get a free meal.”
“What?” Ron asked confused to why Myolie thought he was trying to scam off her.
“What?” Myolie glared back at Ron.
Ron gave a fake smile, “I’d love to join you Tavia.”
Tavia knew she shouldn’t invited Ron, seeing that these two were on such bad terms for what reason Tavia wasn’t really sure of, “Is that ok with you Myolie?”
Myolie rolled her eyes, “I might as well do some charity and spare this guy some food.”
Ron gave another fake smile and opened the door to Myolie’s car and sat inside.

*Kingswood Apartment, 9:06pm*
Raymond and Charmaine had spent most of the day in the apartment not really doing anything much but just being with each other was enough. The both of them sat on the couch with the lights dimmed listening to music. Charmaine leaned on Raymond and held onto his hand, “I love you,” she whispered.
Those words were digging deep inside of him. Raymond sat upright facing Charmaine. He looked into her eyes, he knew that this would all be shattered soon. Charmaine looked into Raymond’s eyes and smiled knowing that being with him was the best thing that happened to her. She leaned forward and kissed him. Raymond wrapped his hands around her and kissed her back.
Raymond realised that he couldn’t go on otherwise it would hurt even more, he stopped and pulled away, “I have to go,” he said to Charmaine as held onto her. He stood up and grabbed his bag and walked towards the door still holding onto Charmaine’s hand.
“I’ll call you tomorrow,” Charmaine said as she opened the front door.
Raymond walked outside into the hallway, he really didn’t want to go but he knew he had no choice.
“Bye,” Charmaine said.
Raymond walked a little further out but he couldn’t resist himself, he turned back around and pulled Charmaine towards him hugging her tightly for the last time.
Charmaine held onto him and laughed a little, “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Raymond didn’t say a word but just held onto her knowing that the next time he saw her that everything would be different. He could feel his eyes tearing up; he closed his eyes wanting to remember every moment. He took a deep breath, “Goodbye.”
Raymond let go of Charmaine and turned around to the elevator. Uncontrollably the tear he held back fell from his eye as he entered the elevator. He kept his head down and didn’t look back at Charmaine. Raymond leaned back on the wall, his heart was beginning to crush, although he knew what he was going to do the next time he saw Charmaine would hurt her as well as himself but he’d rather play a bad guy so Charmaine can forget him instead of the guy that brought Charmaine back to blaming herself for his death.
