Moses had been awake since 6am, usually he would be dreading another day at work but today it was different, he got up automatically without Ron having to pull him up. Moses was on the computer looking up that crystal figurine that Jessica wanted.
He scrolled down the page of other figurines but couldn’t see the one she wanted, “Found it!” he said out loud to himself. He read the description to find that it was a limited collectors edition figurine from the early 90s and stopped producing them along time ago. The company only made one hundred of these figurines. Moses printed off a copy of the figurine and the details.
Ron didn’t knock and opened Moses door, “Morning.”
Moses quickly switched off his monitor and hid the printed information on the figurine, “Morning.”
Ron had a suspicious look, “What are you doing up? Usually I am the one who has get you out of bed.”
“I felt like going to work today,” Moses stood up and pushed Ron out of his room, “I’m going to get changed.”
Moses took out the printed information about the figurine, “Shouldn’t be too hard to find.”

*Tower Marketing Managers Office, 11:24am*
It had been four days since Charmaine last saw Raymond, she kept calling him but his phone kept going into the voicemail, “Hey Ray, it’s me. Is everything alright, I haven’t seen you in days, call me when you get this message.”
Kevin knocked on the door and walked inside Charmaine’s office, he sat down on the chair opposite her and browsed through the catalogue she was working on for the motor show, “Looks good.”
“Huh?” Charmaine who was still trying to get through to Raymond didn’t even realise Kevin was in the room, “Oh… Thanks.”
Kevin looked concerned, he knew exactly what was bothering Charmaine, “Are you alright?”
Charmaine gave a forceful smile, “I’m fine, just thinking about how to improve the catalogue.”
Kevin looked at his watch, “It’s almost lunchtime, how about we have lunch together then come back up and see how we can improve it.”
“Um…” Charmaine hesitated.
“Kevin stood up, “Let’s go.”
Charmaine stood up and followed Kevin out of the office towards the elevator.
*Tower Shopping Centre, 12:14pm*
Charmaine and Kevin walked across the shopping centre towards a café, Charmaine kept dialling Raymond’s number but again he didn’t pick up. They walked pass the security department and Charmaine stopped and went inside.
Kevin followed in behind her, she knocked on the door to the control room. Kevin who was watching the monitors saw Kenneth and stood up, “Mr. Cheng.”
Kevin smiled, “Everything under control?”
“Yes, Mr. Cheng,” Kenneth answered quite scared, “Is there anything I can do for you?”
Kevin turned to Charmaine, “Did you want something?”
“Is Raymond Lam here today?” Charmaine asked.
“Raymond has taken the rest of the month off.”
Charmaine wasn’t sure what was happening, he’d never told her anything about taken leave, “Thanks.”
Kevin and Charmaine walked back into the shopping centre. Charmaine took out her phone and dialled Raymond’s number again but the same thing happened and no one picked up, “Sorry I can’t have lunch with you.”
“Is everything alright?” Kevin asked.
“Yeh,” Charmaine lied, “I’ll be back later.”
Charmaine ran out of the shopping centre leaving Kevin behind.

*The Davidson Apartment, 12:48pm*
Raymond had been in his apartment for the pass four days, he picked up his phone and listened to another voicemail that Charmaine left him. He deleted the message straight after listening to it knowing if he didn’t it would just make it harder to leave with her.
Moment’s later Charmaine arrived at Raymond’s apartment. She rang the doorbell a few times. Raymond knew it was her, he stayed strong and didn’t answer the door. Charmaine was beginning to panic, she didn’t know what happened to him, she started banging on his door, “Ray, are you alright? Don’t scare me.”
The pain he felt in his heart was familiar, he felt the exact same way he did five years when he first broke up with Charmaine. Although he hadn’t recovered the memory of why he broke up with her but he figured it was the same reason why he is doing the same thing. He finally built up the courage and wanted to get it over and done with.
Raymond opened the door and let Charmaine in, he sat back on the couch with a motionless face.
“Is everything alright? Haven’t seen you for days and I asked the security department and they said that your taking the rest of the month off, what’s wrong?” Charmaine asked very concerned.
“It’s none of your business,” Raymond replied coldly.
Charmaine was shocked hearing Raymond saying that, “What?”
“I said it’s none of your business,” Raymond stood up and looked Charmaine fiercely in the eyes, “My business is none of your concern anymore.”
Charmaine could feel tears in her eyes, “Why?”
“I want to break up with you,” saying this for the second time was killing Raymond inside.
A tear dropped from Charmaine’s eye, “Why?”
Although Raymond hadn't regained his memory but he had to lie to get rid of Charmaine, “I remember everything, I thought breaking up with you the first time was a wrong decision but it wasn’t wrong, I couldn’t of been more right,” Raymond could see the sadness in Charmaine’s eyes but he had to be harsh with his words, “The only wrong decision I made was actually getting back together with you.”
The tears from Charmaine’s eyes started flowing down, this was the exact situation five years ago, “What are you talking about?”
“I regret getting back together with you,” seeing Charmaine’s tears was eating Raymond inside, he couldn’t bare to watch the same thing happen twice, “Go! That’s the end of us, from now on there is no us.”
Charmaine felt angry steaming inside of her, for the second time he didn't give a legitimate reason to break up, she lifted her hand and slapped Raymond hard across the face, “There is no us.”
Charmaine turned around and left, she really hoped Raymond would stop her and tell her it was a joke.
“Wait,” Raymond shouted out.
Charmaine stopped and turned around hoping it was Raymond stopping her from going.
Raymond looked her in the eyes, “I want my ring back.”
Charmaine took the ring off and threw it back at Raymond then left. Raymond stood I the middle of his apartment motionless. He did it; he finally had the courage to break up with Charmaine. He shook his head and started laughing out loud, he laughed louder and harder, tears started flowing from his eyes and the laughter had soon disappeared.

*Kingswood Apartment, 2:10pm*
Charmaine didn’t return to the office but came straight back home. She walked inside the apartment looking lost.
“Hey sis,” Tavia said coming out of her room, “Aren’t you meant to be at work?”
Charmaine didn’t answer her and wondered back into her room. She locked the door behind her and sat on her bed. It was as if history was repeating itself, she lay on her bed staring at the ceiling, the anger towards Raymond turned back into sadness. Tears started flowing from her eyes again, she grabbed the photo frame with a picture of her and Raymond, seeing this picture of them happily together just made her cry harder.
Tavia knocked on Charmaine’s door, “Yi Ga Jie, are you alright?”
“I’m fine,” Charmaine answered trying to could as normal as she could, “I just feel a little sick.”
“Do you need anything?”
“No,” Charmaine answered.
Tavia walked back into the living room having a slight feeling that there was something odd about Charmaine. A few minutes later the home started ringing, Tavia picked up the phone, “Hello?”
Jessica was on the other side, “Hey, is Charmaine at home?”
“Yeh, Why?” Tavia asked.
“Kevin told me that she left the office during lunch but never returned back, see if she’s alright, bye.”
Tavia hung up the phone; she was now sure that something had happened to Charmaine.
