It had been a month after Charmaine and Raymond broke up. Ever since the break up Charmaine had not left the apartment, she locked herself in her room and the only time she left her room was to either go to the bathroom or eat something. Jessica and Tavia still had no clue what happened to her.
Jessica and Tavia sat at the kitchen bench eating lunch, “What happened to her? Did you ask her?” Jessica asked.
“I don’t know, every time I ask her she just says that she’s not feeling well,” Tavia answer as she took a sip of water.
“Where’s Raymond these days?”
Tavia shrugged her shoulders, “Haven’t seen him around.”
Jessica and Tavia heard Charmaine’s door open, she walked out of her room looking as if she hadn’t showered or changed her clothing in days.
“Hey Charmaine do you want some breakfast?” Jessica asked her.
Charmaine had a complete lost look to her face, “I don’t feel like going out,” she said not even answering Jessica’s question then walked into the bathroom.
“Look at her, she’s completely lost and she hasn’t been to work or even out of her room for the past few weeks. I don’t think she’s even showered,” Tavia whispered to Jessica.
“We have to do something about that,” Jessica received a phone call, “Hello? You found that figurine I wanted, ok I’m going to get it right now,” Jessica hung up and grabbed her bag, “I’ll be back.”
“What about Yi Ga Jie, your just going to abandon her, so typical think of yourself before your sisters,” Tavia shot at Jessica.
Jessica opened the apartment door, “I’m not abandoning her, why don’t you call Raymond to see what happened,” then she quickly left.
“What ever, it’s not the first time you abandoned your sisters,” Tavia muttered under her breath.
Charmaine walked out of the bathroom looking like a complete mess and wondered back into her room. Tavia knew that Charmaine couldn’t carry on like this, she knocked on her door but Charmaine didn’t answer. Tavia slowly opened the door, she saw Charmaine lying in her bed with all the blinds shut, she browsed around her room, which looked like someone hadn’t lived here for years.
Tavia walked up to Charmaine, “Is everything alright?”
Charmaine’s eyes were closed, “I’m tired. I need some sleep.”
“Tell me what’s wrong, you can talk to me,” Tavia insisted.
Charmaine still had her eyes shut, she pulled her blanket over the top of her head, “I’m tired, I need some sleep,” she repeated.
Tavia got up and walked back outside, she grabbed her bag and decided to find Raymond to find out exactly what was going on.

*Swan’s Crystal, 2:49pm*
Moses walked in the store with his printed picture of the crystal figurine that Jessica wanted, “Hi, I ‘m looking for this figurine,” Moses showed the sales lady the picture.
The sales lady took the picture, “This is a limited edition figurine, we have one in our store, it was sold to us a few days ago.”
“Can I buy it?” Moses asked taking out his wallet.
“Unfortunately because it’s a limited collectors edition you have to be a member of our store to purchase this item.”
“Ok, I’ll join then.”
The lady took out a form, “You actually have to buy up to HK$10,000 worth of items to become a member.”
“Ok then,” Moses said without even thinking. He browsed around the store and pick out a few crystal items, “Guess I can give these as presents next time its someone’s birthday,” Moses muttered to himself thinking how smart he was.
The sales lady wrapped everything he bought including the figurine, “Thanks a lot sir.”
Moses took the bags and left the store. Jessica walked in and saw Moses, “Hey, what are you doing here?”
Moses hid the bags behind his back, “Just looking around, ok bye,” then quickly ran out of the store.
Jessica walked up to the sales lady, “Hi, I’m looking to the limited collectors edition figurine,” Jessica showed the sales lady a picture of the figurine from an old magazine.
“Wow, everyone sure wants this figurine but unfortunately the item has been sold.”
“Thanks,” Jessica walked out of the store annoyed, “Stupid person who bought my figurine.”
Jessica walked around the street still furious that she was one step behind the person who bought her figurine.

*The Davidson Apartment, 3:10pm*
Tavia knocked on Raymond’s door loudly, “Raymond Lam, I know you’re inside, open the door.”
Raymond had been trying to ignore Tavia’s constant banging on the door but the banging just got louder and louder, he couldn’t stand it anymore and opened the door.
“What do you want?” he asked coldly.
Tavia walked inside, “What is up with you and Yi Ga Jie? Did you guys have a fight or something?”
Raymond sat down on the couch, “I broke up with her.”
“What?! You did what?”
“I broke up with her,” he repeated.
Tavia couldn’t believe it, “I can’t believe you did that, do you know that you breaking up with her has made her more down than ever. She hasn’t left her room for weeks, she looks like a complete mess, she doesn’t want to talk to anyone or do anything. It’s as if she’s given up on living.”
It felt painful for Raymond to hear Charmaine being like that, “What’s your point? What happens to her is non of my concern anymore.”
Tavia shook her head in disbelief that Raymond would say such a thing, without saying anything else she turned around and left.
Raymond sat back on his couch having the exact same feeling as Charmaine. The more he thought about her the more it hurt him, he suddenly had a wrenching pain in his head, he held onto his head and reached in his pocket and took the medication that the doctor. He could feel his days to live were getting shorter; the striking pain in his was getting worse and worse, it seemed the medication wasn’t haven’t much effect on the pain either.

*Kingswood Apartment, 9:16pm*
Charmaine was still in her room, although she had been lying on her bed for the past few weeks but she actually didn’t sleep but just stared at the ceiling.
Tavia came home pretty angry, Jessica walked out of her room, “Did you talk to Raymond?”
Tavia slammed the front door behind her, “I can’t believe that guy, he broke up with her and he doesn’t even care about her.”
“What? No wonder Charmaine is like that, this must hurt more than the first time they broke up,” Jessica was very concerned.
“I hate seeing her like this and there is nothing we can do,” Tavia said as she sat down on the couch.
“I know, she doesn’t even want out help, it’s like she’s given up.”
Charmaine was in her room and could hear the conversation between Jessica and Tavia; she sat up from her bed and knew that she couldn’t let them worry anymore even if it means hiding how she really feels.
The morning came, Charmaine jumped up from her bed and opened her curtains for the first time in a few weeks, though the sunlight almost blinded her, she knew she had to forget about Raymond and start fresh. She took a shower then got dressed and walked outside into the kitchen.
Jessica and Tavia both walked out of their rooms and saw Charmaine up, “Morning,” Charmaine said as she drank some juice, “I’m off to work now.” Charmaine took her bag and left the apartment.
Jessica and Tavia looked at each other both relieved as well as slightly worried that she recovered quite fast and looked like nothing has happened.

*Tower Security Department, 8:31am*
Raymond had returned to work, he sat in the control room monitoring the security cameras around the shopping centre. He saw Charmaine in one of the cameras walking into the shopping centre, he sat forwards and looked closely, “Glad she’s ok now,” he smiled and kept watching her from the screen.

seems like Charmaine is recovering a little from the break up.. and Raymond on the look out for Charmaine.. feel bad for Raymond having to play the bad guy.. anywho.. thanks for reading..
