Raymond had finished his shift and as usual he would walk to the bus stop to watch a bus home. He strolled along a familiar street, a street that he and Charmaine use to constantly take. During the few months they broke up Raymond had been avoiding all contact with Charmaine, even though he really wanted to see her but he didn’t want her to see him.
All he had now were the happy memories of them two; he stopped at the lights waiting to cross. He looked up at the lights and his head began to spin, she shook his head a little but his vision had become blurry again. The striking pain shot back in his head. He reached inside his pocket to grab his medication but it slipped from his hand. Raymond held his head and before he knew it the vision in front of him blacked out as he fell to the ground.

*Hospital, 11:31pm*
Raymond slowly opened his eyes and scanned the room, this time he didn’t panic and was now familiar with the hospital rooms. Raymond rubbed his head a little and sat up on the bed.
Dr. Ching walked into the room, “Raymond, how you feeling?” he asked looking at his chart.
“Not much has changed, I feel the same and it seems the medication you gave me doesn’t have much affect on killing the pain,” Raymond sat forward, “I want you to be honest with me, at this rate how long do I have?”
Dr. Ching sighed, “Raymond, I told you three months ago that you would have maximum six more months to live, you’ve survived three months but you have to remember that the brain is the most complex organ in the human body. There are no guarantees how long you have, to be honest you could walk outside here today and just collapse,” Dr. Ching put his hand on Raymond’s shoulder, “I’m sorry, the most I can do now is get you to do another CT scan to determine how big the tumor has expanded.”
Raymond lay in the hospital bed as he was being pushed to do his CT, all he could think about were the words coming out of Dr. Ching’s mouth. Raymond wasn’t afraid of death; the only thing he was afraid of was not being able to see Charmaine again. But he knew he couldn’t, he’d rather die without her knowing than see her suffer after his death.

*Tower Shopping Centre, 12:41pm*
Moses took the chance of a lunch break to find the exact same scarf for Jessica. He walked into every store that sold scarfs but had no success. Being the smart man he was, he decided to take it into his own hands, “I guess I can knit one for her.”
Moses walked into a knitting store and took out his PDA and showed the sales person, “I’m looking for dark brown wool with this sort of texture,” Moses had done his research and loaded a picture of the wool type on his PDA.
“I’ll be right back,” the sales lady walked to the back of the store to find the materials needed.
Jessica was on her way back to the office, “Stupid ugly grey scarf,” she muttered to herself as she looked at the scarf she was wearing. She stopped in front of the knitting store and saw the sales lady teaching the basic steps of knitting to Moses. She looked closer and realised that he was using the exact same wool of her other scarf.
She’d never imagined a guy would do such a thing for her. Jessica had never felt this way before; it was a sweet warm feeling inside of her. She kept watching Moses from the outside, she suddenly turned away, “What am I doing?” she slapped her face a little trying to snap out of it, “That’s who your sister likes,” Jessica said to herself still thinking that Moses and Tavia have a thing going on.

*Tower CEO’s Office, 3:10pm*
Kevin sat in his office flipping his pen, he was watching the view from his window. His mobile started ringing, “Hello.”
“Mr Cheng everything you wanted me to do I have already prepared,” Sunny said on the other side of the phone.
“Good,” Kevin spun around back to his desk.
“Do you still want me to keep an eye on Raymond Lam while your gone?”
“Yes,” Kevin heard a knock on his door, “Make sure nothing goes wrong,” Kevin hung up the phone, “Come in…”
Myolie walked inside and sat on the lounge with three huge shopping bags, “Dai Gor.”
Kevin stood up and sat at the lounge, “What did you buy?” he asked looking inside the shopping bags.
“Just some stuff. When are you going up to China?” Myolie asked as she looked inside her bag.
“Next few days,” Kevin said with a smile on his face.
Myolie had a suspicious look to his face, “Why are you so happy?”
“No reason.”

*Hong Kong Airport, 10:12am*
Charmaine and Kevin checked in at the Hong Kong airport ready to fly up to China for their business trip. Jessica and Tavia were also there to see them off. They stood by the immigration entrance.
Jessica gave Charmaine a hug, “Take care of yourself, ok?”
Charmaine patted Jessica on the back, “I will, don’t worry about me.”
Tavia gave Charmaine a hug also, “Don’t think too much.”
“I won’t,” she said hugging her back.
Jessica pulled Kevin aside away from Charmaine, “Take care of my sister, you know what she went through, I’m hoping you can help us cheer her up. Take her around the tourist points if you have time.”
Kevin put his hand on Jessica’s shoulder and assured her, “I’ll try my best.”
“Would passengers travelling on flight CX123 please head towards gate 32 for boarding,” an airport staff announced.
Kevin walked back to Charmaine and helped her carry a carry-on luggage, “Take care of the shopping centre while I’m gone.”
“Call us when you get there,” Jessica insisted.
Charmaine nodded her head, before she stepped through the immigration area she suddenly felt as if someone was watching her. She scanned the airport but thought it was just her imagination.
Raymond hid behind a sign and watched Charmaine from a distance, he knew he shouldn’t of come but this may be the last chance to ever see her again. He watched as Charmaine and Kevin walk into the gate area, he smiled to himself knowing that Kevin was the best option for Charmaine.
After Charmaine left Jessica and Tavia stopped acting friendly, “I’m going now,” without even letting Jessica respond Tavia left. From a distance she saw Raymond behind the sign, she walked up to him and stood with her arms crossed, “What are you doing here Raymond Lam?”
“I took a friend to the airport,” Raymond lied, “Bye.”
Raymond quickly ran off not realising that he dropped the engagement ring on the ground, Tavia picked it up recognising it. “Why does he still have it?”
Raymond ran out of the airport, he stood outside trying to gain his breath back. He walked towards the bus stop but only just realised her couldn’t feel the ring around his neck. He felt around his pockets but couldn’t find it, he ran back inside the airport to where he was hiding and searched around for it.
“Come on, where is it?” he mumbled to himself, “Please don’t be lost.”
Tavia stood right in front of him, “Looking for this?” she said showing him the ring.
Raymond jumped up and grabbed the ring off of her.
“Raymond Lam, what are you doing? You clearly still love my sister,” Tavia said with confidence.
“No I don’t,” Raymond lied as he put the ring back on his necklace.
“Then why do you care so much for the ring?”
Raymond put the necklace around his neck, “It cost a lot of money,” he turned around and began walking off.
*On the Plane, 11:00am*
Charmaine sat quietly next to Kevin, she felt quite uneasy because of Jessica’s comment about Kevin having feelings for her.
“We have time before we have to start work, so where do you want to go first?” Kevin asked.
Charmaine wasn’t paying much attention and didn’t answer him.
Kevin tapped Charmaine on the shoulder, “Are you alright?”
“Huh?” Charmaine turned around to Kevin, “I’m fine, Dai Ga Jie told me some stuff about you the other day… it’s nothing…”
Kevin could figure out what Jessica said to Charmaine, “Did Jessica tell you that I like you?”
Charmaine quickly turned back facing the front avoiding Kevin’s eye contact.
Kevin was still looking at Charmaine, “Because I do like you, I really do like you.”
Charmaine felt like this was probably the most awkward moment ever, and she couldn’t even move away because they were stuck on a plane.
Kevin moved slightly closer to Charmaine, “Would you consider going out with me?”
