Kevin pulled Charmaine to the side of the door, “Stay here for a minute.”
Charmaine was so scared she just did what ever Kevin told her to do. Kevin walked over and grabbed the chair and stood back where Charmaine was behind the door.
“Hey! I need something!” Kevin yelled out to the guy.
The door slowly opened and the guy walked inside the room, with a swift motion Kevin lifted up the chair and swung it hitting it over the guys head knocking him right out.
Kevin grabbed onto Charmaine’s hand and ran out of the abandoned house. They scanned around the outside surroundings and they were literally in the middle of no where. One of the other guys had come back from the toilet and saw Kevin and Charmaine.
Kevin pulled on Charmaine’s hand and ran towards the back of the abandoned house with the guy chasing after them. They ran to a hillside, the grounds were wet and slippery; Charmaine stepped into a little ditch and slipped falling over down the hill. Kevin grabbed onto her hand but eventually was pulled down with her.

*Beijing Airport, 1:42pm*
Moses and Jessica jumped off the plane and immediately switched their phones on. They received a phone call straight away, “Hello?”
“There is a map stuck at the third phone booth outside the airport, follow the map and that’s where we will do the exchange,” the phone hung up after they said the few words.
Jessica and Moses ran outside the airport to the third phone booth, Moses opened the door. A map was stuck on the wall of the phone booth. Moses ripped the map off, he looked at the map, “It’s here.”
Moses and Jessica turned around and headed towards a taxi, at the same time Raymond and Tavia ran out of the airport trying to find Moses and Jessica.
Jessica saw them running out, “What are you doing here? I told you not to come. And what is he doing here?”
“There’s no time to discuss these pointless questions, the most important thing is to save Charmaine,” Raymond yelled at Jessica.
“He’s got a point,” Moses ran towards a taxi, “Let’s go.”
Moses, Jessica, Tavia and Raymond all jumped in the taxi and headed towards the location on the map.

*Hillside Near Abandoned House, 2:01pm*
Kevin and Charmaine were at the bottom of the hill. Charmaine had cut her leg on the way they rolled down. Kevin helped Charmaine sit up, he looked around, “This place is so dead.”
Charmaine looked at Kevin, his face was all bruised from being beaten up, “Does your face hurt?”
Kevin shook his head and smiled, “I’m ok.” He stood up and helped Charmaine up, “We have to find a way to get out of here.”
He browsed around having no idea where he was; he held onto Charmaine’s hand and guided her along the slippery surface. They walked for a while and found that this place was like a little maze; every corner they turned looked pretty much the same.
“I think our only option is to go back up. Do you think you can do it?” Kevin asked.
Charmaine looked up at the hilltop, it didn’t seem to be that bad, “I think I can.”

*Near Abandoned House, 2:31pm*
Jessica, Moses, Raymond and Tavia arrived near the abandoned house, as soon as they stepped out of the taxi Jessica’s phone started ringing, “I’m here.”
“Open up the suitcase and lift it up.”
Moses opened the suit case filled with cash and lifted it up.
“Put the suit case on the ground and walk a kilometre on that footpath next to you.”
The four of them started walking, they reached the outside of the abandoned house. Jessica’s phone rang again.
“They’re in the abandoned house,” the guy hung up straight away after saying that.
“Their inside,” Jessica said point at the house.
Without thinking Raymond ran inside the house. It was empty, he searched every room but Kevin and Charmaine were no where to be seen. He walked into the last room that Charmaine and Kevin were locked up in. He browsed around the room and saw bloodstains on the floor. Raymond’s heart started beating really fast and began sweating in panic.
“Charmaine,” Raymond had never been so scared in his life, he ran out of the house and saw a trail of blood on the ground.
“Where’s Charmaine?” Jessica asked.
Raymond didn’t answer her and ran following the blood tracks.
Jessica, Moses and Tavia walked inside the house. They walked towards the room where Charmaine and Kevin were locked up, seeing the blood stains on the floor Jessica and Tavia both burst into tears.
“Yi Ga Jie!” Tavia didn’t care about her feud with Jessica anymore and hugged Jessica.
Raymond ran for his life following the tracks, “Please don’t let anything happen to you,” He muttered to himself, “Charmaine! Charmaine!” Raymond yelled out as he ran faster.
The surface was wet and slippery; Raymond took a wrong step and fell on the ground. The striking pain in his head came back, he lay on the ground clenching his head, he reached in his pocket and took out his medication. He hadn’t even let his medication settle and got up and continued following the blood tracks, “Charmaine!” he continued shouting out.
Kevin and Charmaine finally reached the top of the hill. Kevin grabbed onto to side and pulled himself up with Charmaine behind him.
Raymond stopped running, he saw only Charmaine and not Kevin, he smiled to himself in relief. He started running in her direction but stopped again. Raymond stood back as he saw Kevin.
“We did it,” Kevin said as he held onto Charmaine’s hand.
Charmaine smiled at Kevin, she couldn’t believe they actually survived. Kevin pulled Charmaine close to him and hugged her tightly, “I’m glad that you’re safe now, I told you that I will protect you.”
Raymond watched Charmaine in Kevin’s arms from a distance. Although he knew something like this would happen and he even wanted Charmaine to find someone who could look after her and Kevin was the best option but seeing Charmaine hugging Kevin just felt like someone has jabbed a knife through his heart.
Raymond turned around with a motionless face and walked back to the abandoned house where Jessica, Tavia and Moses were there still thinking something has happened to Kevin and Charmaine.
“Did you find them? What happened?” Tavia ran up to Raymond and asked.
“They’re both fine,” he informed the three of them. Raymond pulled Tavia to the side, “I want you to promise me something.”
“What?”
“Promise me that you won’t tell Charmaine I came to China with you guys. I also want you to promise me that you won’t tell her I have a brain tumour,” Raymond had a very serious face.
“But why?” Tavia really didn’t know why Raymond had to hide everything.
“You know the reason, if you tell her I came it will give her hope and I can’t let her think that. If you tell her I have a brain tumour then she will think it’s her fault.”
“But…” Tavia wanted to say but Raymond interrupted her.
“The only thing I want is for her to be happy and right now she is happy,” Raymond had the image of Kevin and Charmaine hugging by the hillside, “she’s got Kevin now. Just don’t tell her anything, this way when I die she wouldn’t know a thing and she would remain happy.”
Tavia couldn’t believe that everything Raymond is doing is for Charmaine’s happiness, “She really is you number one priority.”
Raymond smiled, “Yes and she always will be. I’m going to go back to Hong Kong now. Thanks Tavia,” Raymond around and walked back towards the main road.
Tavia watched Raymond walk further into the distance, she walked back to Jessica and Moses, “Don’t tell Yi Ga Jie that Raymond was here, he doesn’t want her to know.”
Though they both found it weird why Raymond didn't want to let Charmaine know but they respected his decision, Jessica and Moses both nodded their heads, “Ok.”
Charmaine and Kevin walked back towards the abandoned house. Charmaine held onto Kevin helping him walk better due to his injuries. Jessica and Moses ran up to them to help them. Jessica hugged Charmaine, “You scared me, your not allowed to do that anymore.”
Kevin took Charmaine’s hand and held on tightly, “I told you I will look after her for you,” he told Jessica.
Tavia had such mixed feelings, she was happy to see Charmaine safe and happy with Kevin but saddened by Raymond’s sacrifice just to make Charmaine happy and forget about him once he dies.

So upsetting for Raymond... seeing Charmaine with Kevin... Raymond is such a great guy... he only wants to see Charmaine happy... thats all it matters to him.. and Charmaine not knowing Raymond went up to save her.. anywho.. thanks for reading...
