Kevin walked back into Charmaine’s room and she was finally done with packing, “You’re done? Guess you didn’t have that much after all.”
Charmaine laughed a little, “Where did you go?”
“Just went to the restroom,” Kevin lied. He walked up to her bed and took her bag, “Let me get that.”
Kevin held onto her bag with one hand and held out his other hand in front of Charmaine. She looked at his hand for a split second then looked up at Kevin and smiled, she took his hand and held onto it.
The both of them walked towards the waiting room to pick up their medication, “Where do you want to go later?” Kevin asked.
“Any where but Tower,” Charmaine accidentally blabbed out. She realised what she had just said and quickly reworded what she said, “I mean why don’t we go to Tower.”
Kevin thought Charmaine was just too cute, he put his hand around her shoulder, “Still don’t like Tower do you?”
Charmaine gave an awkward smile, “I will if you give me a raise.”
Kevin held onto Charmaine’s hand again, “and I will consider your suggestion.”
Charmaine and Kevin walked into the waiting room just as Raymond walked out. Raymond stopped in front Kevin and Charmaine; he was the two of them holding hands and chatting away. It hurt so much seeing Charmaine with Kevin but it was for the best. Charmaine stopped walking and froze seeing Raymond standing right in front of her.
It never occurred to her what she would do if she saw Raymond again; she stood in front of him still holding onto Kevin’s hand. Charmaine looked in Raymond’s eyes, she wasn’t sure of what to do next.
“I’ll get our stuff,” Kevin said as he walked to the counter.
Raymond and Charmaine both stared at each others eyes, although it was difficult Raymond knew he had to take the first step, he didn’t speak a word or make any reaction and walked straight pass Charmaine out the waiting room. Charmaine had such mix feelings at the moment she turned around and watched as Raymond walked off.
Kevin watched Charmaine watching Raymond from the counter; he could feel himself steaming up. Charmaine turned back around and walked to Kevin, “Done?”
Kevin’s cold face turned back into smiles, “Almost.”
Raymond turned his head back to the waiting room and glanced at Charmaine, then continued walking towards the exit.

*Kingswood Apartment, 1:36pm*
“How are you feeling? You have to tell me if you’re feeling weird or uncomfortable, we’ll just go straight back to the hospital,” Kevin asked Charmaine as they walked out of the elevator.
Charmaine laughed seeing Kevin so worried, “You were more hurt than I was, I should be the one asking you that.”
Kevin lifted up Charmaine’s bag, “I’m strong, you don’t have to worry about me.”
Charmaine pulled Kevin’s arm back down, “My bag isn’t that heavy so it doesn’t prove anything,” she teased him a little.
Kevin held onto Charmaine’s hand, “Fine, since you’re my girlfriend than you will always be right.”
Charmaine opened the door to her apartment, as soon as they walked in Jessica and Tavia jumped out from behind the door and held onto Charmaine leading her to the couch.
“How are you feeling? Do you need anything? Anything at all just tell me and I will tell Tavia to get it,” Jessica said.
Tavia glared at Jessica, then turned back to Charmaine smiling, “Yeh, just tell us.”
Moses walked out of the kitchen and handed Charmaine a glass of water, “Here,”
Charmaine took the water, “Thanks Moses, bur you’re a guest you shouldn’t be doing these things.”
“It’s alright, he likes doing this sort of stuff,” Jessica turned to Kevin who was still standing by the door, she walked up to him with a cheeky grin on her face, “Although you’re my best friend and my boss but I will have to lay out some ground rules about you dating my sister.”
Kevin sat next to Charmaine, “Go ahead.”
“Rule number one, you have to bring her home by midnight if you are planning to go out, rule number two, you have to give me schedule of where you are going every time you take her out,” Jessica dictated.
“What kind of rules are these?” Kevin asked.
“Rule number three no back chatting while I’m dictating my rules,” Jessica had a very serious tone to her voice.
Moses sat next to Jessica and held onto her hand, “Kevin saved your sister so he can not follow your rules.”
Everyone in the apartment suddenly stopped what they were doing and stared at Moses and Jessica, not because of what Moses had just said but the fact that Moses was holding onto Jessica’s hand.
“Why are you holding her hand?” Charmaine asked curiously.
Jessica lifted the hand she was holding onto Moses with up, “Isn’t it obvious, or do you want us to do more so you will understand what our relationship is?”
Charmaine could feel herself getting a little sick from hearing that, “I’d rather you not.”

*Tower Shopping Centre, 8:51am*
Kevin and Charmaine had officially returned to work after the kidnap in China. Kevin held onto Charmaine’s hand as they entered the Shopping Centre, for some reason Charmaine felt a little uncomfortable holding hands with Kevin in the shopping centre.
She quickly let go of his hand, Kevin gave her a strange look, “What’s the matter?”
“Should we not do this on the work premises?” Charmaine whispered.
“Why not?”
“I don’t know…” Charmaine had suddenly become very conscious, she kept looking around to see if people were looking at her and Kevin, “I just don’t want everyone in the shopping centre to know. I don’t want to be pointed at by everyone.”
Kevin laughed out loud with a cheeky look to his face, “I’m going to broadcast that we are going out to everyone in the shopping centre,” he pointed to the enormous screen hanging from the ceiling, “That’s where I’m going to do it.”
“Sure you will,” Charmaine said as she walked off to the elevator.
Kevin chased after her, “You know I will.”
Charmaine turned around back to him, “Sure…” she said with a hint of sarcasm.
Jessica and Moses walked in behind them, Jessica was clinging onto Moses arm while he held tightly onto her hand. Jessica saw Kevin and Charmaine standing apart as if they didn’t even know each other.
“You guys look like strangers,” Jessica joked.
“Yeh, you should be more like us,” Moses kept on holding Jessica’s hand, “and declare you love to the world.”
“That’s right, tell the whole world,” Jessica looking into Moses eyes and smiled, their eyes looked as if they were sparkling.
Charmaine and Kevin looked at each other and shook their heads before walking off leaving Jessica and Moses the two lovebirds behind.

*Kingswood Apartment, 12:06pm*
Ron was on the phone to Jessica as he walked out of the elevator towards her apartment, “I just got to your apartment, where did you say you put the book?”
“It should be in my room somewhere, just look around. Tavia should be at home, if not there is a spare key on the lamp post above the doorbell,” Jessica said on the other side of the phone.
“Ok, call you later then,” Ron hung up the phone and rang the doorbell a few times but no one answered. He glanced around to see if there was anyone around him. He reached up at the lamppost above the doorbell and felt around for the key.
“Got it,” he opened the door and walked inside. He walked straight into Jessica’s room to find the book he wanted. Ron browsed around her room and found the book sitting on her desk. He picked up the book and left Jessica’s room closing the door behind him.
Tavia was in the bathroom and only just realised that she forgot to bring her clothes in with her, she heard the door close and thought Jessica had come home. She opened the bathroom door slightly, “Dai Ga Jie, can you get me my clothes from inside my room.”
Ron who was at the door heard Tavia, he wasn’t sure whether he should get the clothes or not.
“Can you get my clothes, I’m really cold here,” Tavia yelled out.
Ron quickly walked into Tavia’s room and grabbed the clothes off her bed; he knocked on the bathroom door and waited. The door slightly opened and Ron passed the clothes to Tavia while he hid behind the door.
“Thanks,” Tavia grabbed they clothes and accidentally touched Ron’s hand, she looked at the hands not only realising that it wasn’t her sisters but a mans hand. She suddenly switched to defensive mode, she swung the door open but little did she know that her towel was stuck in the doorknob. As she opened the door, it pulled her towel off exposing herself to Ron.
Ron who was totally not prepared to see Tavia naked stood there staring at her clueless of what to do next. Tavia who was also in shock to see Ron stood there motionless, within a split second she became very conscious that she was wearing no clothes.
“Ahhh!!!!” she screamed.
Ron quickly covered his eyes as Tavia shut the door to the bathroom. She stepped back on the slippery tiles and fell on her back, “Ouch!!”
Ron heard a loud thump on the ground, he knocked on the bathroom door, “Tavia, are you alright?”
Tavia tried to get up but her back was hurting too much, “I’m fine,” she said in a weak painful voice.
“You don’t sound ok.”
Tavia tried getting up again, “Ouch!” she gave in and really did need some help, “I fell and now I can’t get up.”
“I’ll help you,” Ron had totally forgotten that Tavia wasn’t wearing any clothes and opened the door. He saw her on the ground and quickly turned around with his back facing her.
Tavia quickly grabbed a towel wrapped it around herself. Ron still had his back facing her, “Are you covered?”
“Yes.”
Ron took a deep breath and turned around, he walked towards Tavia and picked her up. Ron could feel his heart beating so fast it felt as if he was going to get a heart attack. Tavia had gone completely red feeling so embarrassed with the whole situation.

*Tower Shopping Centre, 1:42pm*
Raymond had just got changed into his uniform and started his shift; he put his hat on and walked outside into the main shopping area. For some reason the main area of shopping centre was full of people. Raymond stood in the middle and looked up and everyone was standing by the railing pointing at the big screen hanging from the roof.
Kevin and Charmaine had returned to the shopping centre from a meeting, “What’s going on?” Kevin asked innocently.
Charmaine shrugged her shoulders. Raymond saw Charmaine and Kevin walking towards his direction; he quickly stepped forward and hid behind a sign. He looked up at the screen and saw a message posted up reading, “Charmaine, my one and only. I love you. Kevin Cheng.”
Charmaine froze after reading the message; she never actually thought Kevin would do that. Kevin walked up to her and held her hand, “I told you I have the guts to do that.”
Raymond turned and looked in Charmaine’s direction. A huge smile appeared on her face, “You’re so corny…”
Kevin could see Raymond looking in their direction, he held onto Charmaine’s arms and pulled her close to him hugging her tightly, “I know you like it.”
Raymond watched as Charmaine wrapped her arms around Kevin. Although seeing Charmaine in the arms of another man was hurting but Raymond felt happy for Charmaine, he knew that his decision of leaving her was right.

wow... Jessica's rules.. love them.. and awkward situation for Ron and Tavia... anywho.. about Raymond.. just to clarify five years ago when he first broke up with Charmaine he did have a tumour but they removed it when he was in the accident.. so now he doesnt have it, just a set up by Kevin.. Raymond still gets headaches because he has another problem (not as serious at the moment).. thanks for reading!!
