Moses and Jessica were sitting on the couch watching a documentary about science and the human body. Moses was really into the documentary while Jessica was actually sleeping with her eyes open.
“Jess,” Moses tapped Jessica on the arm, “Watch this.”
Jessica jumped up, “What?”
“Watch this fascinating documentary about the nervous system,” Moses turned the volume up louder.
Jessica gave a loud yawn, “How can you watch this stuff, it’s so boring.”
“I think it’s interesting.”
Jessica closed her eyes and leaned on Moses.
Moses kept watching the scientific documentary, “I don’t how you don’t find this interesting. We’re going to have a hard time teaching our children about science with that kind of attitude of yours.”
Jessica opened her eyes immediately, “Children?”
“Yeh, how are we going to educate them if the parents aren’t even uniting with the same approach on what they want to teach,” Moses turned to Jessica, “tell me, what would you want to teach our children?”
Jessica was still stuck on the question of children; she’d actually never thought that far into the future, “I haven’t really thought about it.”
“Well you better start thinking,” Moses continued watching the TV.
Jessica sat beside Moses; she glanced at him every so often. “Children?” she thought to herself, “I haven’t even thought about marriage and his talking about children.”
Ron opened the door, “I’m home!” he saw that Jessica was over, “Aww… look at you two, just like a newlywed couple.”
Moses laughed while Jessica glared at Ron, she jumped up and pulled Ron into his room, “Your brother was just talking about children.”
“What’s wrong with talking about children?” Ron took his bag off and placed it on his bed.
Jessica closed the Ron’s door, “He was talking about our children?”
“Our children? As in yours and mine?”
Jessica took a magazine off Ron’s table and hit him with it, “He was talking about his and mine. Talking about our future children.”
“Calm down,” Ron took his jacket off, “He was just saying that, why are you getting all freaked out?”
Jessica put on a straight face, “I’m not freaked out.”
Ron started laughing at her pretend non-freaked out expression, “You’re totally freaked-out.”
Jessica started hitting Ron with the magazine again, “I’m not!”
Moses walked into Ron’s room and watched Jessica hit Ron repetitively with the magazine, “What are you guys doing?”
“Oh… Jess was just telling me…” Ron began to say.
Jessica jumped on Ron and covered his mouth, “I just told him about the apple I saw.”
Moses had a confused look to his face, “Ready for dinner? I think your sisters are waiting. You coming with us Ron?”
“Is Tavia going to be there?” He asked with his face slightly going red.
“Well I did say sisters with an ‘s’ usually meaning that it is a plural,” Moses thought that he was very smart with his little comment.
“Then I won’t go,” Ron sat on his bed.
Jessica pulled him up, “Come, there’s nothing to eat here.”
“I won’t eat then.”
“I see what this is, you don’t like Tavia,” Jessica moved really close to Ron, “why don’t you like her?”
Ron back away from Jessica, “Fine, I’ll go then.”
Jessica linked arms with Moses, “Let’s go then.”

*Kingswood Apartment, 7:36pm*
Charmaine was out of hospital and at home resting for a few days because Kevin insisted she take care of herself. She sat in her room lying on her bed staring at her ceiling. Although she had broken up with Raymond but everything in her room was the same, everything thing that Raymond designed for the room and everything he placed in the room was the same.
She took out the ring she found outside her hospital room door. Charmaine stared at the ring for a while, “Was that really him?” she asked herself thinking about both the blurry vision of him in the elevator and the hospital.
Kevin knocked on the door but Charmaine didn’t answer, he knocked on the door again but there was still no answer. Charmaine was just lying on her bed staring at the ring that she didn’t even notice the knocking on her door.
“Hey,” Kevin said as he opened the door.
Charmaine jumped up and hid the ring under her pillow but it was too late, Kevin already saw the ring, “Didn’t you hear me knocking?”
“I was doing something,” Charmaine smiled awkwardly then walked outside.
Kevin walked towards Charmaine’s bed, he flipped over her pillow and picked up the ring. He knew that if he didn’t get rid of Raymond, it would be a threat to him. Kevin placed the ring back on the bed and put the pillow back over it, then walked outside.
Kevin saw next to Charmaine in the dinning table where everyone else was. Tavia followed behind Kevin, she stopped when she saw Ron. Still embarrassed from the awkward encounter she avoided eye contact and sat next to Moses.
Jessica cleared her throat, “Um… what are you doing? You’re in my seat. Go sit next to Ron.”
Tavia didn’t say anything and stood up, Ron smiled uneasily and pulled the chair out for her.
During the dinner everyone seemed to be very quiet. Tavia kept her head down the whole time while Ron also didn’t say anything. Jessica was still shocked on Moses talking about their future children. Moses was the quiet type so not really talking was normal for him. Charmaine was still confused after finding the ring, she didn’t know what that meant. Kevin sat next to Charmaine was glanced at her every so often, he could tell what she was thinking about.
After dinner Tavia ran straight back into her room while Ron pulled Moses to go home.
Charmaine and Jessica were clearing the table, Kevin stood next to Charmaine, “Need some help?”
“Huh?” Charmaine was in a daze, “Um… it’s alright,” she glanced at her watch, “It’s getting late you better go home.”
Kevin smiled, “I have a meeting tomorrow so I won’t be at the office, I’ll call you,” Kevin left the apartment and called Sunny immediately.
“Hello Mr. Cheng.”
“I need you to do something for me,” Kevin said with an evil grin on his face.
Charmaine finished the dishes and wondered back into her room. She sat on her bed and took the ring from under her pillow. So many different thoughts were running through her head. She didn’t know how the ring was at the hospital and right in front of her door but there was no point finding out whether Raymond was there or not. That didn’t matter because she has Kevin now, she knew the more she thought about it the more complicated it can become, she placed the ring in her bag and decided to just give it back to Raymond the next day.

*Tower Security Department, 8:16am*
Charmaine slowly walked into the Security Department, she held the ring in her hand. Kenneth came out of the control room and recognised Charmaine from being stuck inside the elevator.
“You’re alright,” Kenneth said.
“What?” Charmaine was confused to whether he was talking to her or not.
“That night you were stuck in the elevator really scared one of my colleagues.”
Charmaine was once again confused, “What?”
Kenneth’s watched started to beep, “Have to get going, bye.”
Charmaine kept walking towards the control room having no idea what Kenneth was on about. As she walked closer she heard yelling from inside, she stopped outside and listened.
“Raymond Lam, you’re a professional, you’ve been through training. Have you forgotten everything?” the head of security yelled, “What were you thinking, climbing down the elevator shaft and jumping in from the top.”
“I was trying to save someone,” Raymond argued back.
“Saving someone at the risk of your own life? What if you had fallen from the elevator shaft? Your usually more logical than that.”
“Sorry, I guess I wasn’t thinking right at that time,” Raymond apologised.
The head of security was quite disappointed in Raymond, “Raymond, I know you want to save lives but its as if the person you were trying to save was more important than your own life.”
Raymond smiled a little, “She is important, more important than my own life.”
Charmaine stepped back hearing Raymond’s words, she had no idea what he meant by that, was he referring to her? If so, then everything had just become so much more complicated.
