Moses was sitting on the couch watching a documentary clip about volcanos while Jessica was reading one of Ron’s magazines. “Jess watch this,” Moses turned the volume up trying to make Jessica watch the documentary.
Jessica who was more interested in the magazine glanced briefly at the TV, “That’s very nice,” and continued reading.
“You didn’t even look properly,” Moses pulled the magazine that was covering her face down, “isn’t it fascinating that volcanos…”
Jessica wasn’t listening to a word Moses was saying and kept reading the magazine that was far more interesting in her eyes than the boring documentary.
Ron opened the door, “I’m home.”
Jessica jumped up extremely happy to see that Ron was finally home; she pulled Ron into his room straight away. Moses slightly glanced at Jessica’s excitement and turned back to the TV.
Ron put his bag down and lay on his bed while Jessica sat on his chair, “Ok, so I was thinking you and me rock climbing this weekend.”
“I was just about to ask you the same thing. Haven’t been active for such a long time,” Ron yawned,
“What? Don’t you have to walk all the time at work,” Jessica asked.
Ron had a mischievous grin on his face, “Maybe in the not so distant future I won’t be doing so much walking.”
Jessica stood up a little suspicious by his comment, “Are you telling me you finally got promoted?”
“Maybe…” Ron couldn’t control his smile.
“That’s so great!” Jessica said out loud. So loud that Moses could hear it from the outside. Moses alarm on his phone started ringing, he suddenly remembered he bought tickets to watch a foreign film with Jessica. Moses quickly jumped up and knocked on Ron’s door.
“Come in,” Ron shouted out as he showed Jessica a new computer game he bought.
“Jess are you ready to go?” Moses asked,
Jessica was looking at the cover of the game, “Go where?”
“To the movies,” Moses showed her the tickets, “you said you’ll come with me.”
Besides the fact that Jessica actually wasn’t interested at all about the movie, she had totally forgotten about the movies with Moses, she took the tickets off of him and looked at the movie title. She gave a slight frown on her face but it was enough for Moses to see.
He took the tickets off Jessica, “You stay and play Ron’s new game, I’ll go myself.”
“Are you sure? I’ll come. Just let me get changed.”
Moses knew Jessica wasn’t interested, “it’s alright, I prefer to go myself anyways,” he kissed her goodbye and left the apartment quite disappointed.
“Oh yeh, Moses and I are having dinner with my sisters next week. You going to come?” Jessica sat in Ron’s chair.
Ron had the slightest grin on his face knowing he could see Tavia again, “Sure.”

*Kingswood Apartment, 9:10pm*
For some reason Charmaine felt as if her workload at Tower was really piling up, it was as if she had endless things to do. She finally finished one days of work and was relieved to arrive home. She stretched her arms and opened the door; she strolled inside and collapsed on the couch, closing her eyes.
Raymond walked out of their room hearing the front door close; he saw Charmaine lying on the couch and grabbed a blanket, covering her with it. She felt the blanket covering her and woke up.
“Hey,” Charmaine pulled Raymond onto the couch next to her.
“Hungry?” Raymond stood up, “I’ll get you something to eat.”
Charmaine pulled Raymond back down on the couch, she leaned on him and closed her eyes. Raymond smiled, having Charmaine in his arms was probably the most comforting he could feel.
Raymond held her close to him; he really didn’t know how long he would have to live. Although it has passed six months, the time that Dr. Ching said he would live but Raymond only thought it was his luck to live another day, “I love you…”
Although Charmaine had her eyes closed she wasn’t asleep, she couldn’t help but smile thinking that she was lucky to have found Raymond and that no matter how long they had with each other, it just didn’t matter anymore because they knew they would cherish every moment they had with each other.
Charmaine sat up and faced Raymond smiling sweetly at him. Raymond twitched his eyebrow a little suspicious about what she’s smiling about, “What are you smiling about?”
Charmaine didn’t say anything but kept smiling, she leaned forward and kissed Raymond softly on the lips. Raymond wrapped his arms around her and couldn’t help but smile as he kissed her back.
Raymond suddenly felt the rushing pain running through his head again, he quickly backed away from Charmaine and clenched his head. The pain this time felt worst than before, “Ah…!!” he kept banging his head with the palm of his hand.
Charmaine jumped up and ran to her room and grabbed his medication, she took out two tablets and fed them to Raymond. Watching Raymond in pain hurt her so much and there was nothing she could do to help him. It had been a while since Raymond took the tablets but for some reason the striking pain in his head was actually getting worse.
“Ray…” Charmaine cried.
Raymond had lost control; he rolled onto the floor yelling in pain. Everything around his suddenly become distorted before he blacked out.
“Ray…” Charmaine shook him but he had no response, she was panicking and had no idea what to do next, “Ambulance…” she picked up the phone and dialled the emergency line.

*Hospital, 10:19pm*
Charmaine sat in the waiting room, the first time she was here Raymond almost lost his life. For some reason she felt that time was just ticking by so slowly. Charmaine seriously felt herself collapsing but was hanging on a thread of strength knowing that she had to stay strong for Raymond.
Raymond was lying in the emergency room wearing an oxygen mask as well as being attached to several monitors. At this point Raymond was semi-conscious but he had no idea where or what he was doing. The emergency doctors quickly paged the neurosurgeon.
Dr. Ma walked into the emergency room and up to Raymond.
“Sir…” he tapped Raymond on the face, “Sir… do you know where you are?”
Raymond was about to answer but another wrenching pain struck through his head, “Ah!!!” he yelled through the oxygen mask, so loud that Charmaine heard from the outside.
Charmaine jumped up from her seating wanting to rush in, at this time Jessica, Moses and Ron ran into the hospital. Jessica ran up to Charmaine and pulled her back.
She held onto her sister, “Everything is going to be alright.”
Dr. Ma and his two interns held Raymond down. Dr. Ma grabbed a needle and injected it into Raymond killing the pain in his head for the time being. He walked outside and took his mask off.
Charmaine ran up to him, “How is he?”
“The pain is under control for the time but just to make sure I need to get a CT scan done,” Dr. Ma told Charmaine.
“Where’s Dr. Ching? Raymond is his patient.”
“Dr. Ching is on vacation but don’t worry, I’m a neurosurgeon. I have been practising in this field for many years, he is in good hands,” Dr. Ma saw Raymond being pushed out of the emergency and followed them down to get his CT’s.
Charmaine watched as Raymond being pushed down further away from her, “I forgot to tell him that he has a tumour,” Charmaine was going to run after them but Jessica stopped her.
“I’m sure they have it in his records,” Jessica sat Charmaine down, “don’t worry too much.”
Tavia and Myolie ran into the hospital, “How is he?” Tavia asked Charmaine.
“He’s getting a CT done,” Jessica answered on behalf of Charmaine.
All of them sat in the waiting room, until now Charmaine and Tavia were the only ones who knew Raymond had a tumour. Moses turned to Ron, “Can you get everyone some food?”
Ron nodded his head; Tavia saw him walk off and followed him to the canteen. They walked inside, “Did you know he had a tumour?”
Tavia grabbed a few sandwiches, “Found out not long ago, I really hope he can pull through,” Tavia could feel herself tearing up, just the thought of all the things Charmaine and Raymond went through to be together saddened her knowing it may be over anytime, “Raymond and Yi Ga Jie still haven’t married yet.”
Ron put his hand around Tavia and rubbed her shoulder comforting her, “His a good guy, I’m sure he can make it.”
Dr. Ma walked back into the waiting room. Charmaine jumped up the instance she saw him, “Well I have to wait a few hours before I get the films and report.”
“Can I see him?” Charmaine asked hastily.
“Course you can,” Dr. Ma turned to the nurse he was with, “take her to see Mr. Lam.”
Charmaine ran into Raymond’s room, he was awake lying on the hospital bed. She held onto his hand and scanned his face. Raymond gave her a weird look, “I’m fine, just a little headache.”
“Let’s get married now,” Charmaine suggested.
Raymond sighed, before this incident he knew he wanted it but now that his was in a more critical state he really did think it was a good idea, “I don’t know if that’s such a good idea…”
Charmaine shook her head, “I really want this and I know you do too. I don’t want to regret not doing this before its too late.”
Raymond brushed his hand on her face and nodded his head.

Thanks for reading.. well first to answer Tee's question about Ray and Charmaine sleeping in the same room.. i actually didnt really think about that.. but they do... anywho.. wow.. Moses is getting a little angry at the fact Jessica would rather hang out with Ron than himself.. and Raymond being back in hospital cos of his headaches..
