Charmaine walked out of Raymond’s hospital room where everyone was waiting. She went up to Tavia, “I need you to find me a Minister that can perform a wedding.”
Jessica was shocked hearing Charmaine say that, “You want to get married to him now? Do you think that’s a good idea?”
“Yeh, are you sure you want to do this?” Moses asked.
“I’m sure, never been more sure in my life.”
Jessica and Moses patted her on the shoulder, “As long as you know what you are doing…”
Charmaine turned to Tavia, “Leave it up to me,” Tavia said with confidence.
Although Myolie had no idea what was going on but she was touched by the situation, “You guys are in luck. I have an uncle who is a minister, I’m sure if I ask he can help you guys out.”
“I don’t think your brother would like you helping my sister marry Raymond when he clearly still isn’t over her,” Tavia said.
Myolie thought about it for a while, “Oh well, tough luck for him.”
Tavia gave Myolie a hug, “You’re the best Myolie…”
Myolie took out her phone and walked to the side to make a phone call. Ron stepped forward, “Is there anything I could do to help?”
“Rings…” Jessica remembered, “You can’t have a wedding without rings,” Jessica turned to Ron, “Take me to Tower.”
“But nothing’s open at this time,” Charmaine said.
Jessica smiled, “I have my connections. I know someone who owns a jewellery store at Tower, I’ll just give her a call, I’m she will help out.”
Charmaine’s eyes went red, she felt so touched and happy that everyone was willing to help her out, “Thanks.”
Hours passed and it was now early in the morning, Jessica and Ron came back with a set of rings that Jessica picked out. Myolie and her minister uncle came with documentation for the wedding. Everything was set and ready for Charmaine and Raymond to get married.
Everyone squeezed into Raymond’s room to witness the marriage. Raymond and Charmaine held each others hand knowing what they were doing was the happiest decision they ever made.
“Do you Raymond Lam take Charmaine Sheh to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love her in sickness and health till death do you part?”
Raymond stared into Charmaine’s eyes smiling, “I do.”
The minister turned to Charmaine, “Do you Charmaine Sheh take Raymond Lam to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love in sick and health to death do you part?”
Charmaine held onto Raymond’s hand tighter, “I do.”
Raymond and Charmaine exchanged rings. Raymond leaned forward and kissed Charmaine. Nothing mattered anymore, Raymond knew even if today was his last day it was the most memorable. Charmaine grasped onto Raymond’s hand, she has been waiting for this day since the day she fell in love with Raymond and although it was a long wait but it was worth it.
Jessica couldn’t help but cry seeing her sister so happy. Moses put his arm around Jessica and wiped the tears off her cheek. Tavia also couldn’t help but tear as well, she knew they been through so much and they finally made it to this day.
The morning came, “Hey I have to get going,” Myolie said to Tavia.
Tavia gave Myolie another hug, “Thank you Myolie.”
“What are best friends for,” Myolie patted Tavia on the back.
Myolie left the hospital. Ron and Moses decided to buy some breakfast for everyone since no one had eaten for a while. Jessica and Tavia knocked on Raymond’s door and walked inside.
Charmaine sat by Raymond’s side holding onto his hand. Moments later Ron and Moses came back with breakfast, “Eat up people.”
Everyone started eating as they waited for Dr. Ma to arrive. Moments Dr. Ma arrived with Raymond’s films and report. He walked inside and saw everyone eating.
“Looks like you guys are having a party,” He joked.
“Guess you can classify this as the reception,” Ron joked.
“Reception?”
“We had a wedding in here a few hours ago,” Jessica said as she munched on a muffin, “my sister and the patient.”
Dr. Ma raised his eyebrows, “Wow, very hasty. Why didn’t you guys wait until Raymond was out of hospital?”
“We didn’t know how much time he had left,” Tavia said.
Dr. Ma was slightly confused but ran pass that comment, “Well before I start I should formally introduce myself, I’m Dr. Steven Ma recently been transferred from another hospital. I have the CT results, but I would like to apologies on behalf of the hospital. When Dr. Ching left for vacation he probably took your files with him or something because part of your medical records seem to be lost.”
“It’s ok,” Raymond didn’t think having his medical records there or not will make much of a difference, “how long do I have?”
Again Dr. Ma thought he was talking about how long he had to stay in hospital, “well I think around two days max.”
Charmaine held onto Raymond’s hand tighter hearing that he only had two more days to live. Everyone’s face showed sadness, they couldn’t believe that he had only two days to live.
Dr. Ma thought that these were probably the weirdest patient and friends he had ever come across, “Well…” he took out the report and films, “everything looks fine but there is only a slight problem, that is there is a blood clot which is pressing against one of your nerves and that is why you are getting constant headaches.”
Charmaine couldn’t believe Raymond had another problem besides for the tumour, “So it wasn’t the tumour?”
“Tumour? What tumour?” Dr. Ma asked quite confused.
Raymond sat up a little, “The tumour in my brain, Dr. Ching told me I had a tumour which I thought was the reason for my headache. He said I only had six months to live.”
Dr. Ma pulled out the films again and double checked it, “You’re Raymond Lam right?” he checked the banner on Raymond’s wrist and matched it up with the tag on the films. Dr. Ma checked the films and report for a third time, “You don’t have a tumour, you only have that clot pressing on your nerves.”
Charmaine and Raymond were both so confused to what was happening, “but how come Dr. Ching said that I have a tumour?” Raymond asked.
Dr. Ma shook his head, “I have no idea, but I guess this is good news for you then.”
Raymond couldn’t believe it, he turned to Charmaine and embraced her tightly, “I’m going to live.”
Charmaine wrapped her arms around Raymond; tears of joy were flowing down her eyes. It was as if a miracle had occurred, “you’re going to live… you’re going to live…” she kept repeating.
Dr. Ma smiled seeing the happy couple thrilled after finding out it was just a mistake, “Raymond, although you don’t have a tumour but the blood clot in your brain is still quite dangerous, although it may not be fatal but there is still a percentage of risk. So far what I can do is give you medication to control the pain, but I need you to come back every month for a CT to see if the clot has shifted to a spot where I can perform an operation to remove it. I also noticed that you were in a car accident and was left in a coma for four years, then woke up with amnesia, I know you will be pleased to hear that if the operation goes well then you have a high chance of gaining you memory back.”
Raymond jumped up and shook Dr. Ma’s hand, “Thank you doctor.” Raymond turned back to Charmaine and hugged her.
Jessica suddenly burst out laughing. Everyone turned to her wondering why she was laughing. Jessica continued laughing, “And you guys got married in the hospital, that was more rushed than the wedding Moses and I had. Well that’s two sisters married with a simple wedding,” Jessica turned to Tavia, “You better have a big wedding that I can attend.”
Tavia started going red as she slightly glanced over at Ron. Charmaine sat next to Raymond on his bed, “As long as I married Raymond, I don’t mind where or how we marry, all it matters that we are together forever now.”

*Cheng Mansion, 8:30am*
Myolie was half asleep as she walked through the front door, she was actually surprised that she was able to drive all the way back home. Kevin wore his suit jacket as he walked downstairs.
He saw Myolie yawning out loud, “Wow, you look tired. Out partying all night?”
“I was at the hospital,” Myolie yawned again.
“What? Why?” Kevin asked.
“Raymond Lam got admitted to hospital so everyone went to help him and Charmaine out,” Myolie said.
Kevin had a slight grin on his face hearing Raymond went into hospital again, “Oh… but why were you there till so late?”
“Well a lot of things happened but to cut a long story short, Charmaine and Raymond got married,” Myolie was so tired she didn’t even realise she had said too much.
Kevin’s face had turned black hearing that Charmaine and Raymond got married but he hid it really well by putting on a smile. Myolie realised that she had said too much, “Are you ok Dai Gor?”
“I’m alright, as long as Charmaine is happy then I will be happy too,” Kevin lied through his teeth.
Myolie yawned again, “I’m going to bed now,” and wondered up stairs.
Kevin received a phone call from Sunny straight after Myolie went up stairs, “Yeh?”
“Mr Cheng, they know Raymond Lam doesn’t have a tumour,” Sunny informed Kevin.
“What? How?” Kevin was extremely furious.
