“Need any help?” Kevin asked.
“I’m actually here for an interview,” Charmaine said still looking which level she should go to.
Kevin pressed the button and stood back, “What position are you here for?” he asked.
“I actually don’t know,” Charmaine stepped back and stood next to Kevin, “Do you work here?”
Kevin took a sip of his coffee and nodded his head.
“See the thing is I got forced to come for this job interview, I don’t even want to work here. I’ve read reviews of this Shopping Centre and although all the reviews give it such great ratings but to be honest I don’t see what so great about it…”
Kevin stood there silently listening to Charmaine talk.
“When I was shopping here last time I actually thought that the marketing strategies used here aren’t that great,” Charmaine said straight out.
“So how would you improve marketing here?” Kevin asked very curiously.
“Get rid of the current Marketing manager,” Charmaine again made another suggestion without thinking.
Kevin laughed a little, “Why? What’s wrong with the current guy?”
“Trust me, get rid of him and the profits will increase by at least 20%,” Charmaine continued saying.
“You haven’t even met the guy let alone know how he functions.”
“Please, I don’t need to know what he looks like to know his a useless,” Charmaine turned around to Kevin directly facing him and continued talking, “Come to think of it not only is he useless I also think the guy who hired him is also useless.”
Kevin crossed his arms and smiled at Charmaine, “Oh really?”
Charmaine still hadn’t figured out she was talking way too much. The elevator door opened and Charmaine stepped outside, “Bye.”
Kevin waved goodbye to Charmaine and leaned on the back of the elevator smiling. He shook his head and laughed a little, “That was interesting…”
Kevin reached the top floor and walked into his office. He sat at his desk for a while, all he could think about was Charmaine and the way she criticised half the things in his shopping centre. He buzzed his intercom to his secretary.
“Cindy, tell Louisa to come up to me office after she does the interviews and also tell her to bring up the profiles for the interviewees.”

*On the Plane in Australia, 1:09pm*
“Yes Kevin, I’m on my way back now. Gees just because you’re the CEO doesn’t mean you can cut my trip short,” Jessica said very annoyed over the phone on the plane.
“This was only a business trip,” Kevin told Jessica over the phone.
“Fine but you owe me a holiday. Oh yeh I also bought you some kangaroo skinned underwear,” Jessica joked, “I know you will like it.”
Without any notice Kevin hung up the phone leaving Jessica laughing to herself thinking how funny she was.
Moses stood in front of Jessica’s seat looking at his plane ticket seeing if he had the right seat, he stood there for a while watching Jessica laugh to herself, “Um…”
Jessica stopped laughing and looked at Moses, “Yes?”
Moses pointed to the seat next to her, “Would you be able to shift your legs so I can sit down.”
“Sorry,” Jessica moved her legs to let Moses through.
Moses smiled and sat down next to Jessica. The plane had now been airborne for two hours; Moses was doing some work on his laptop while Jessica was watching a movie. She was silent for a while then all of a sudden just burst out with laughter. Moses jumped with fright not expecting Jessica laughing; he looked at her weirdly for while.
Jessica realised she was being watched and quickly contained her laughter, but she couldn’t help it and started laughing again. She took her earpiece out and tapped Moses on the shoulder, “Excuse me.”
Moses turned around, “Yeh?”
“I just wanted to tell you that I’m laughing because this movie I’m watching is really funny and also just then before you sat down, I was talking to my friend and something funny happened so I laughing at that. I just wanted to clarify that I’m not some crazy person that laughs for no reason,” Jessica explained to Moses.
“Ok,” Moses smiled and started working on his laptop again.
Jessica put her earpiece back in and turned back to the screen for a while, she took her earpiece back out and turned around to Moses and tapped him on the shoulder.
Moses felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around, “Yeh?”
“Have you seen this movie?” she asked pointed at the screen.
Moses took a quick glance and the screen, “Nope.”
“Well you should, its really funny.”
“Ok,” Moses answered and continued to work on his laptop totally ignoring Jessica.

*Tower Shopping Centre, 1:33pm*
Charmaine came down from the office and called Tavia immediately, “Hey where are you?”
“I’m at the station, I got called in,” Tavia said over the phone, “I cant talk now. See you when you at home.”
Charmaine hung up the phone and wondered around the shopping centre for a while, “This is boring.”
She walked outside and waited at the bus stop to go home. About five minutes later the bus came and Charmaine jumped on the bus taking a window seat and stared outside the window. She suddenly felt the presents of someone sitting next to her and turned around to see Raymond sitting next to her listening to music on his mp3 player and reading a book not even noticing her. She kept staring at him, the feeling of having her heart broken had suddenly come back, although it was difficult to hold back her tears but she stayed strong and kept them in.
Raymond was deep into his book but could feel someone looking at him, he turned around and saw Charmaine staring at him. They both stared into each other’s eyes; he looked at her for a while and for a brief moment he thought she was quite familiar. He was about to open his mouth and ask her something but hesitated and turned back continuing reading his book.
Charmaine quickly turned back facing the window, tears began flowing down her eyes. She didn’t understand why Raymond was like this; it was as if he didn’t want anything to do with her, it was as if he didn’t even know her. All those years they were together had suddenly she meant nothing to him. The more she thought about it, the more tears came running down. From the corner of Raymond’s eye he could see Charmaine crying, he reached in his bag and grabbed a packet of tissues and handed it to her.
“Here,” he said giving her the packet of tissues.
Charmaine turned around looking into Raymond’s eyes; she reached out and took the tissues off him. Raymond turned back and continued reading his book.
Charmaine took a deep breath, “How are you?” she asked Raymond.
Raymond looked up from his book, “Are you talking to me?”
“I uh…” Charmaine really didn’t know what to say, she found herself quite speechless, “Um…”
Raymond suddenly shouted out to the bus driver, “Next stop.” The bus came to a stop and Raymond stood up leaving the bus without even turning back to Charmaine.
The bus started driving again, Charmaine turned around watching Raymond walk across the road, he heart sank right to the bottom again. She grasped onto the packet of tissue Raymond just gave her, “Forget him…”

*Kingswood Apartment, 7:28pm*
Tavia came home from a tiring day at work and was on the phone with Selena, “No he wasn’t in today. I’m sure that Ron guy doesn’t take revenge just because I bumped into him,” she walked in the apartment, which was pitch black. She switched on the light and saw Charmaine lying on the couch staring at the ceiling, “Hey I’ll call you back.”
Tavia could sense something was bothering Charmaine, she walked up to her and sat beside her, “Are you alright? You look so sad sis, here let me give you a hug,” and Tavia hugged Charmaine, “Tell me what’s wrong?”
Charmaine sat very still, “You touching me, that’s what’s wrong…”
Tavia quickly let go of Charmaine forgetting that she didn’t like people touching her, “You need someone to talk to?”
Charmaine who has never really liked sharing her feelings quickly put on a fake smile, “I’m feeling fine, I’m feeling grand. I’ll be in my room,” and strolled back into her room.
Tavia could sense something was wrong but she knew that Charmaine never liked to show or share her emotions. Although she was worried but there was nothing she could do.
