Jessica and Charmaine walked back into the apartment. Both of them sat on the couch where Moses was.
“Moses, you studied a few law subjects during your uni days right?” Jessica asked.
“I only took a few classes.”
“I also took a few classes as electives because I thought it would be interesting, I think what we need to do is bail Raymond out of jail,” Jessica suggested.
“But the police said because its murder we can’t bail him out,” Charmaine said.
“But what if he has circumstances that can get him out?” Jessica imposed.
“Like what?” Charmaine asked who had no idea about the law.
Moses smiled knowing exactly what Jessica was thinking, “Like if he has a medical condition that needs immediate attention. We can bail him out first, but he will still be on probation.”
“That way he wouldn't have to suffer being jail as well as give us time to figure how to help him with his case,” Jessica finished Moses point off.
Charmaine thought this point was great but she didn’t know how critical Raymond would have to be to be let out, “Wouldn’t his condition have to be critical for him to be bailed out?”
“I’m sure Dr. Ma would help us out on Raymond’s conditions,” Moses said.
“That’s if he doesn’t think his a murderer,” Jessica blabbed out.
“I guess this is our only chance,” Charmaine though about it a bit more, “Let’s go find Dr. Ma then,” Charmaine was very anticipated, she couldn’t wait any longer, she could only just imagine what Raymond was going through in jail.
“He’s probably not even at the hospital,” Jessica could see Charmaine’s desperation, “we’ll go first thing in the morning.”

*MongKok Police Station, 10:51pm*
Ron spent the whole day going over the evidence and witness statements regarding Paul Ching’s death. He looked over and over trying to find anything that he may have missed. He read through Raymond’s statement again, “He heard Dr. Ching talking on the phone…”
Ron checked the calls Dr. Ching had incoming as well as outgoing during the time Raymond said but it came up as an anonymous number. The only way Ron could find out the number was to call the phone company, which he could only do the next day.
Ron yawned out loud, and packed everything away before leaving the station. He walked outside and saw Tavia walking along the street, he ran up to her and tapped her on the shoulder.
Tavia turned around and looked at Ron then ignored him. Ron knew his tone with her wasn’t the best and he knew she was angry with him so he didn’t want to make it worst. Tavia kept walking faster while Ron walked about a metre behind her.
Every time Tavia stopped Ron would stop as well, she walked towards the side of the road as she had her head facing Ron looking at him following her. She stepped onto the road and little did she see an on coming car driving towards her. Luckily Ron saw and quickly grabbed her arm pulling her back.
“Watch where your going,” Ron said in very concerned, he held onto Tavia’s arm and kept on walking, “Sorry…”
Tavia glanced at him and smiled a little, “I’m sorry too, you were just doing your job and I should know because I am a police too.”
Ron held onto Tavia’s hand, “Such an understanding girlfriend.”

*Hospital, 9:12am*
Charmaine and Jessica had been waiting for Dr. Ma for the past hour and finally he had the time to see them. They sat in his office as he walked in from just having surgery.
“Sorry to keep you waiting,” he said putting his doctors coat on, “is there something wrong with Raymond’s conditions?”
“Dr. Ma I’m guessing you know about my husband being taken into custody for the murder of Dr. Ching…” Charmaine began to say, “I was wondering if it’s possible to write a letter to the police department on the basis of your professional knowledge about his condition?”
“You want me to write about his condition so you can bail him out?” Steven asked.
Charmaine had a pleading look to her face, she knew the chances of Steven helping them out were small but she hoped that there would still be a ray of help.
Steven smiled, although he was in no part of determining whether Raymond was guilty or not but being a doctor he had every responsibility of ensuring his patients being in the best conditions, “I don’t know if it will help but I will inform the police about his conditions. But I’m going to be totally honest about his conditions.”
Charmaine stood up and shook Steven’s hand, “Thank you so much Dr. Ma.”
Jessica and Charmaine left hospital and bumped into Kevin who was on the way in.
“Kevin,” Jessica yelled out seeing him.
Kevin stopped and turned around, “Hey…”
Charmaine gave a little smile, “Hi.”
“How are you coping?” Kevin asked.
Charmaine looked up at Kevin confused of how he knew what was going on with Raymond, she turned to Jessica, “Did you tell him?”
Jessica shook her head, “No.”
“Don’t blame Jessica she didn’t say anything. I know someone at who works at the police station and they told me because they knew that I know Raymond,” Kevin lied.
“Oh…”
Kevin who was trying to gain Charmaine’s trust back was doing a brilliant job in pretending to be concerned about Raymond, “If you need my help just tell me. Cheer up, I know Raymond is innocent, he can get through this.”
Charmaine didn’t have much of a reaction on her face, “Thanks,” and turned around leaving.
“Sorry Kev, I guess she’s just really worried about Raymond. I’ll talk to you later,” Jessica ran off after Charmaine.
Kevin watched as Charmaine and Jessica walked further away, he took out his phone and called his trustworthy lawyer, “Hello… I need you to come to my office now.”

*MongKok Police Station, 4:30pm*
Charmaine had been waiting at the police station for the past few hours since Dr. Ma sent over Raymond’s medical records. Although the wait was long and she felt like she was about to go a little crazy waiting for an answer but she sat patiently.
Another hour passed and finally Ada walked out towards Charmaine, “We’ve carefully considered Raymond’s circumstance and since he is still considered a suspect we are allowing you to bail him out on the term that he has to report back here everyday. If he breaches this arrangement then we will take him into custody again.”
Charmaine had a huge smile on her face, she was so relieved that Raymond was able to be let out she lost control of all actions and hugged Ada. Charmaine quickly let Ada go only to realise what she was doing, “Thank you.”
“Wait here, I’ll get someone to bring him out,” Ada said as she walked back to her room.
Moments later Raymond and another officer walked out towards where Charmaine was waiting. It had been a while since she last Raymond, she ran up to him and hugged him tightly.
Raymond held onto her missing her so much while he was held custody. The officer gave Raymond a form to sign, “You must report here at the same time everyday, if you breach this then we will take you back into custody.”
Raymond signed the form, “Thanks officer,” he took his belongings and walked out of the station with Charmaine. He turned and saw her having slight tears in her eyes, he stopped walking and held onto her, “I’m out now…”
Charmaine wrapped her hands around him, “But this is only temporary. If we don’t find evidence to prove your innocence then you will be put into jail permanently.”
Raymond looked Charmaine in the eyes and smiled, “We have to have faith. We have to believe that the criminal justice system will serve me justice.”
Charmaine nodded her head knowing he was right.

*Kingswood Apartment, 6:23pm*
Raymond, Charmaine, Jessica and Moses sat around the living room discussing Raymond’s case.
“Why would they suspect you in the first place?” Jessica asked.
“I have no idea,” Raymond thought about the night he went to see Dr. Ching, “if it wasn’t because I got angry and pulled on his shirt then I wouldn’t of traces behind.”
The doorbell started ringing, Moses got up and opened the door to see Kevin and another man.
Kevin walked inside with the man following behind him. Charmaine and Raymond stood up, “What are you doing here?” she asked.
“This is my lawyer Michael Miu, one of Hong Kong’s top attorneys,” Kevin stood in front of Charmaine, “Let me help you…”

Thanks for reading!! finally did my presentation today and handed all my assignments.. really dont get why uni assignments are always due during the same time..
anywho.. so Kevin wants to help.. or does he really?? well at least Raymond is out.. which is a good thing.. oh yeh Steven is such an awesome doctor..
