Raymond and Charmaine walked out of the station after Raymond reported back as he was still on probation. Things were looking bad for him.
Charmaine was starting to get worried all over again, “Ray there are only few days till your trial but we have nothing to prove your innocence. No eyewitnesses to prove you weren't at the hospital.”
Raymond being the optimist that he was also felt his chances were of winning the case to be small, “Don’t worry, we’ll let Michael help us out,” he comforted Charmaine. Raymond called Michael on his mobile, “Hello Michael?”
“How are you Mr. Lam?” Michael asked on the other side of the phone.
“Good, just wondering if you have found anything to help me with my case?” Raymond asked.
“Sure… I’ve actually found something that can help you. Look I can’t talk now; I’ll be in contact with you. Bye,” Michael hung up the phone and sat back down on the lounge at Kevin’s mansion, “That fool…”
Kevin laughed as he took a sip of his wine, “Raymond Lam is too stupid thinking that I will help you. Good work Michael, just keep letting him think there is hope and when the trial comes I will take it all away.”
Charmaine and Raymond walked further down the street. Raymond held onto Charmaine’s hand and looked at her worried face, “Don’t worry, everything will be ok. Michael said he’s found something that will help me.”
Charmaine pulled on Raymond’s hand and stopped walking, “I don’t want to be negative but I just have this feeling it won’t go as smoothly as we want it to be. I really don’t want you to go to jail for something you didn’t do.”
Raymond smiled, “I promised that I will always be by your side so no matter how hard it is to find evidence, I will keep searching.”
Charmaine’s phone started ringing, “Hello…”
Ron was on the other side of the phone, “Charmaine, it’s Ron.”
Charmaine thought it was strange that Ron would call her seeing that he’s never called her before, “Jess fainted at home.”
“What? Where is she now?” Charmaine asked.
“I’m at the hospital with her now, I tried calling Tavia but she’s on duty.”
“I’ll be right there,” Charmaine hung up the phone and looked at Raymond with her face more worried, “Da Ga Jie’s at the hospital…”
Raymond could see Charmaine’s frightened look, he held onto her hand, “We’ll go find her now.”

*Hospital, 12:15pm*
Ron was waiting in the emergency room for Jessica, he kept dialling Moses phone but its kept directing to the voicemail, “Come on… pick up…”
Raymond and Charmaine rushed in the hospital and saw Ron sitting on the seats in front of the emergency room, Charmaine ran up to him, “How is she?”
“The doctor hasn’t come out yet,” Ron replied while he dialled Moses phone again.
The doctor walked out of the emergency room, Charmaine ran up to the doctor, “How is my sister? Is she alright?”
A nurse pushed Jessica who was sitting in a wheelchair out of the emergency room. The doctor smiled, “Everything is fine, just a little high-blood pressure which I’m going to assume is because you were angry.”
Jessica thought back to that stupid fight with Moses, “Yeh…”
“Well you better not get that angry anymore, it won’t be good for the baby,” the doctor said casually.
“OK…” Jessica paused realising what the doctor just said, “it won’t be good for what?”
“For the baby,” the doctor repeated.
A smiled appeared on everyone’s face, the doctor smiled and walked back into the emergency room. Charmaine was so thrilled to hear this news and she was going to be an aunt, she gave Jessica a hug.
Jessica who was still in shock sat in her wheelchair, she was just so happy she didn’t know how to react. Slowly a smiled appeared on her face, “I’m going to have a baby… I’m going to have a baby.”
Ron again kept dialling Moses number and again it still switched off, “I can’ get through to Dai Gor.”
Jessica’s face turned back to being angry, “Don’t talk about that guy, I don’t want to see him or hear about him at the moment. So unreasonable,” she muttered underneath her breath.
Charmaine and Raymond both looked at Ron strangely. Ron shook his head slightly hinting not to ask about it at the moment. Ron pushed Jessica out of the hospital.

*MongKok Police Station, 7:24pm*
Ron waited outside the police station for Tavia to finish work. Tavia strolled out of the station and saw Ron but she chose to ignore and walked straight pass him.
Ron didn’t understand what was going on and chased after her, “Tavia… Tavia…” but Tavia just kept walking.
He ran and stopped in front of her. Tavia stopped walking and stood there with her arms crossed.
“Are you angry with me?” Ron asked.
“Why would I be angry with you?” Tavia had a slight sarcastic tone to her, “Oh wait, maybe it’s because you keep hanging up on me and not answering my calls.”
Ron pouted his lips, “I only did that because I was working. You understand right?”
Tavia hated the fact that she did understand since they were both police but she couldn’t help to be angry with him anyways. She kept standing there with her arms crossed glaring at him.
Ron stepped a little closer to her, then stepped forward again. Everytime he stepped forward Tavia took a step back. This time Ron took a giant step forward and grabbed Tavia, pulling her close to him planting a kiss on her lips.
Tavia gave in and kissed him back, she suddenly pulled away, “I’m still angry with you.”
Ron laughed, “Sure you are, you can’t live without the Ron love.”
Tavia slapped Ron on the arm, then laughed at well as she linked arms with him. They walked down the street together, “So what did you do today?”
“Took your sister to the hospital,” Ron replied.
“What happened? Is she alright?” Tavia asked.
“She’s fine… she’s actually pregnant.”
“That’s great… Yi Ga Jie pregnant,” Tavia said thinking Charmaine was the pregnant one.
“It’s actually your other sister.”
“Oh… good for her too,” Tavia was slightly bitter with her words.
Ron stopped walking hearing Tavia’s tone, “Why are you always so bitter to Jess, it’s actually not going well for her, she had a fight with my brother and he stormed out of the apartment and now we can’t find him,” he put his hands on Tavia’s shoulder, “Maybe you can try to be a little nicer to Jessica, after all she is your sister.”
Tavia thought about it and maybe it was time she put her anger towards Jessica fully aside.

*Kingswood Apartment, 9:30pm*
Ever since the argument Moses and Jessica had, no one could find Moses. It was as if he had gone missing. Everyone tried to call him but his phone was constantly switched off. Tavia came home from her shift and collapsed on the couch, she was extremely tired from taking on a double shift.
Raymond and Charmaine walked out of their room and saw Tavia lying on the couch, “Hungry? I’ll heat up dinner for you,” Charmaine walked into the kitchen and grabbed dinner from the fridge for Tavia.
“Thanks, Yi Ga Jie,” Tavia turned to Raymond who was sitting on the couch, “Are you ready for the trial tomorrow?”
Raymond shrugged his shoulders, “Should be alright, Michael said he found something that can help me.”
“That’s good then.”
Charmaine walked out of the kitchen with Tavia’s dinner, “Really hope that everything will alright.”
All three of them were sitting in the living room having a chat, “So how is Dai Ga Jie? Have you guys found Moses yet?”
“Since when did you start caring about her?” Charmaine asked still thinking they were still on bad terms.
“Although I’m still slightly at her for what she did to you but after that time you were kidnapped I realised that she really did care for you so I forgave her a little,” Tavia took a sip of her soup.
Charmaine was slightly confused, “You were angry at her for so many years because of me? What did she do to me?”
“I’m angry at her because she blames Linda’s death on you, if it wasn’t because of that then you wouldn’t thought her death was because of you,” Tavia explained.
Charmaine sighed, all this time Tavia had got the wrong idea, “Dai Ga Jie never blamed me or even said it was my fault. All these years I have blamed myself for her death because I made the wrong decision and because of this decision i watched my own sister die. That's why i blame myself for everything bad that happens to the people I love,” Charmaine glanced over at Raymond.
“I thought it was because of Dai Ga Jie keeps blaming you that’s why you started to blame yourself for everything. I also thought it was because of Dai Ga Jie that you left Hong Kong to study,” Tavia had just realised that all these years that she was angry at Jessica for no reason.
Just as she was about to say something else they heard some noise coming from Jessica’s room, “What’s that?” Tavia asked.
Raymond stood up and walked in front of Jessica’s room and slightly opened the door, he looked inside and saw a suitcase on the floor. He opened the door fully and to his surprised he saw Moses sitting on Jessica’s bed reading a magazine.
“Moses?”
Charmaine and Tavia got up and walked over, “Moses, what are you doing here? No wait, how long have you been here?”
Moses walked outside, “I’ve been here for the past few days.”
“What?” Tavia was surprised that none of them even noticed he was there, “How come you didn’t tell us and how is it that none of us knew you were here?”
“Why aren’t you at home Moses?” Raymond asked.
Moses was still angry at both Jessica and Ron, “I had a fight with your sister.”
“No wonder she was so angry,” Charmaine said remembering that the doctor said it was because Jessica got too angry that why she fainted, “you do realise that people who are pregnant are meant to stay calm and not get angry.”
Moses looked up at Charmaine, “Who’s pregnant?”
“Dai Ga Jie, she fainted and went to hospital the day you guys had your argument. We all tried calling you but your phone was off,” Tavia explained.
Moses ran back into Jessica’s room and packed his bag then walked back outside out of the apartment without even saying goodbye.
“Well I’m off to bed,” Tavia strolled back into her room.
Raymond and Charmaine walked back into their room. Charmaine sat on the bed she couldn’t help but to worry, “Ray…”
Raymond knew that she was worried and nervous about his trial tomorrow, he knelt down in front of her and held onto her hand, “Everything will be fine.”

*Phoenix Apartment, 10:02pm*
Moses opened the door to his apartment and saw Jessica and Ron sitting on the couch watching TV. He walked inside and went straight back into his room, although Moses had come back to take care of Jessica while she was pregnant but he still wasn’t going to apologies. This was because of his pride and dignity that he couldn’t let them see he had backed down.
He packed his things away and walked back outside, “How are you feeling,” he asked quite coldly.
Jessica stood up and glared at him, without saying a word she walked back into their room shutting the door behind her. Ron walked up to Moses wanting to explain what was going on.
“I don’t want to hear it Ron,” he grabbed a few spare blankets and pillows from the storage and placed them on the couch.
Ron felt really bad because partially it was his fault that they were arguing but there was nothing he could do.

*Outside Courthouse, 9:00am*
Kevin and Michael waited outside the court for Raymond and Charmaine to arrive. Shortly, Raymond, Charmaine, Jessica and Moses arrived meeting up with Kevin.
Kevin shook Raymond’s hand, “Don’t worry, Michael is top attorney.”
“Thanks for all the help Kevin,” Raymond shook his hand firmly.
“Thanks Kevin,” Charmaine smiled slightly but for some reason she felt something weird, she still didn’t know why he had such a dramatic change and was willing to help them.
Raymond held onto Charmaine’s hand and looked her in the eyes, “I’ll be fine,” he wrapped his arms around her tightly before following Michael in the courthouse for further preparation.
Jessica put her hand around Charmaine, “This is only the beginning,” the both of them followed shortly inside to the courtroom leaving Moses and Kevin outside.
Moses waited for Jessica to go in first as they were still on non-talking terms but he kept a close eye on her in case anything happens because after all he still cared and loves her. He followed in behind them into the courtroom.
Kevin stood outside by himself with a grin on his face, he knew from this point onwards that all of Raymond’s hope would be shattered and that Charmaine’s trust in him would soon disappear.

thanks for reading...that Kevin is so two-faced.. being so nice on the outside.. and Jessica is pregnant though her and Moses are still on non-talking terms.. all because they dont want to apologies first.. its all about the pride..
