Raymond stood behind the prosecuting box; he looked over at Charmaine sitting amongst the crowd.
“Court,” the court clerk announced.
Everyone in the courtroom stood up as the judge walked in. Charmaine looked over at Raymond, her heart was beating so fast scared at what will happen to him. Raymond looked over at her and nodded his head with a slight grin to his face trying to calm Charmaine down.
The trial started the prosecuting lawyer started with an opening statement. Kevin sat back and listened in the courtroom, he found this whole trial to be somewhat amusing to him. It was as if he was watching a movie, a movie where not only did he produce, direct and write the script but also acted in as well. Everything seemed to be under his control, he glanced sideways at Charmaine who was listening intently, he knew not long after this she would soon be back with him.

*Outside of Tower, 10:23am*
Ron knew the trial started today which meant he had not much time left to find evidence to help Raymond. The only lead he had was Sunny Chan, it was his only hope. Ron waited outside, he suddenly felt someone tapping him on the shoulder, he turned around and saw it was Myolie.
“What are you doing here?” Ron whispered as he kept an eye on the entrance.
“I just got back from a fashion show in London,” Myolie said as she looked wondered what Ron was looking at.
“I can’t talk now, I’m doing something,” Ron saw Sunny walking out of the Tower, Ron ditched Myolie and followed Sunny from a distance.
Myolie couldn’t believe how rude Ron was so she decided to follow him. Ron kept following Sunny into an abandoned car park a few streets down from Tower. Sunny walked up the fire escape towards the top level. Ron followed him up there, he hid behind a car trying to see what Sunny was up to. He suddenly heard footsteps coming close to him, he turned around and saw Myolie walking out of the fire escape into the car park.
Ron grabbed onto Myolie’s arm and pulled her down behind the car, Myolie looked around trying to get up but Ron pulled her down again, “What are you doing here?” he whispered.
“I…” Myolie began to say but Ron used his hand to cover her mouth stopping her as he heard Sunny’s phone ring.
“Shh…” Ron listened carefully to what Sunny was saying over the phone.
“Don’t worry, everything is set. I gave the witness half the amount and when Raymond Lam is in jail I will give him the other half,” Sunny said over the phone, “Has the trial started?”
Ron lifted his head a little and watched Sunny from the reflection of a car window. He kept watching as Sunny walked out of the other exit. Ron stood up and thought about what Sunny was talking about, he wasn’t sure because he could hardly hear the conversation.
“What was that about?” Myolie asked confused.
“Myolie you can’t tell anyone what you heard today, not even Tavia,” Ron said, “this is really important.”
“Ok,” Myolie agreed.
Ron kept thinking trying to recall and pull what Sunny said into making sense in his head. He knew that there was someone else working with him then it suddenly hit him.

*Outside courthouse, 1:51pm*
The first of trials had passed and things weren’t looking so well for Raymond. Although he hadn’t been on the stand but all the evidence and witnesses presented in court did not favour Raymond at all.
Raymond and Charmaine walked out of the courthouse with Michael and Kevin. “Don’t worry Mr. Lam, its only the first day of trials.”
“I know, I have faith in you Michael. Thanks, I’ll se you in a few days,” Raymond shook Michaels hand before her left.
Jessica walked out of the courtroom with Moses following closely behind her, he was watching her every step but still wasn’t talking to her. Jessica knew Moses was behind her and walked a little faster towards Charmaine, “Are we going home now?”
“Yep.”
Kevin looked at the time, “I have to get going, if you guys need anything call me. Bye,” Kevin took out his phone as he walked towards the car park, “Sunny? You’re here? I’ll see you in a bit then…”
Ron arrived at the courthouse where Charmaine, Raymond, Jessica and Moses were, “Sorry I couldn’t listen, had some work to do.”
Jessica looked at Ron, she knew that he was still investigating, “Is everything ok?”
Ron knew exactly what she was asking about, “Everything is fine.”
Moses could tell that there were more secrets between the two of them which made him a little more angry than he already is, “Are we going now?” he asked bluntly.
Jessica eyes Moses and turned around linking arms with Charmaine, “Let’s go.”
All of them walked towards the car park, Moses still followed behind Jessica while she linked arms with Charmaine who was holding onto Raymond’s hand. Ron walked next to Moses a little awkward not really knowing if he was angry at him or not but he knew that most probably he was angry with him.
Moses unlocked his car and Jessica sat inside, “See you guys later…”
Raymond unlocked their car and opened the door for Charmaine. She was about to sit in the car then realised that she left her jacket in the courtroom, “I left my jacket back at the courthouse.”
“I’ll get it for you,” Raymond said.
“Why don’t you start the car and meet me outside the car park, I’ll wait for you there,” Charmaine suggested.
“Ok,” Raymond started the car and drove towards the exit while Charmaine took the stairs.
Moses started to backing out of the parking space with Jessica and Ron in the car. Ron was just browsing around and from the corner of his eye he saw Sunny walking into the stairway.
Ron opened the car door straight away making Moses jam on the breaks, “What are you doing?” Moses asked.
Ron jumped out of the car, “I just thought of something I need to do, I’ll go home myself,” he closed the car door and ran towards the stairway.
Moses looked over at Jessica knowing he jammed on the breaks a bit too hard, “Are you feeling ok? If you don’t feel well you have to tell me,” he said in a slight cold way.
Jessica knew that Moses still cared for her but the both of them just couldn’t put down their dignity and pride not wanting to be the first to apologies.
Charmaine walked back upstairs to the car park but stopped, “Such bad memory,” she only just remembered telling Raymond to meet her outside. She turned around about to walk through the corridor to the main build, as she opened the door she saw Kevin standing by himself.
Charmaine was going to walk up to him but stopped after seeing Sunny walk up to Kevin. She closed the door slightly and listened to their conversation.
Kevin handed a cheque to Sunny, “Well done…”
“Thank you Mr. Cheng,” Sunny smiled as he received the cheque, “When’s the next trial date?”
“In a few days,” Kevin answered as he adjusted his suit jacket, “That’s when all the fun will begin.”
“You really hate that Raymond Lam don’t you?” Sunny asked putting his cheque away.
Kevin had an evil laugh, “Yes. He made me lose the women I love and because of that he will have to suffer the consequences.”
“So by setting up a witness to ruin his chances of winning and also giving him a bad impression to the judge and jury. I’m also assuming that he would probably be charged with perjury too,” Sunny pressed the button on the elevator.
“I want him to suffer, I could just kill him but I want him to see the women he loves hate him and come back to me,” Kevin laughed a little louder.
Charmaine couldn’t believe what she was hearing, just as she was about to open the doors to confront Kevin, Ron pulled her back, “Shhh…”
He opened the door slightly and watched as they both entered the elevator.
“Ron, why won’t you let me confront Kevin?” Charmaine asked.
“Because even if you do nothing will happen because there is no evidence to what he is doing,” Ron suddenly thought of something that Kevin said that could help with the case, “Charmaine I need your help with something, it will be very dangerous but if everything goes smoothly then I think it can help with Raymond’s case.”
Charmaine didn’t care what she had to do, as long as she could save Raymond she was willing to do it, “What do you want me to do?”
“I need you to get back together with Kevin…”
