“I need you to get together with Kevin,” Ron knew this was a difficult thing to ask her to do and it would also put her in some danger, “I know what I’m asking you might be too much and if you don’t want to do it I’m fine with it. It’s just that Kevin still loves you, if you get back together with him on the bases that he believes that you left Raymond because you think he actually murdered Paul Ching then he will trust you fully. That way we can work together to gather evidence to help Raymond.”
Charmaine thought about what Ron was saying, she knew that this may be the only chance as well as the only thing she could do to save Raymond. She knew that it would be dangerous but she and Raymond had been through so much to finally be together and she didn’t want to lost him again, “I’ll do it.”
“Are you sure? This is very dangerous, there is no pressure,” Ron asked again confirming that Charmaine knew what she was about to do.
“Beside for helping Raymond, I can’t let Kevin get away with the things he is doing,” Charmaine looked at the time and realised that Raymond was waiting for her, “Raymond is waiting for me downstairs.”
“I’ll be in contact with you when I get further details and approval from my superior, she will want to meet up with you to explain anything. Remember you cannot tell anyone, not even Tavia,” Ron reminded Charmaine.
Charmaine nodded her head, “I better get going.”
“Keep in touch,” Ron walked back out to the car park while Charmaine walked through the corridor to the exit.
Charmaine walked downstairs to the outside and saw Raymond sitting in the car waiting for her. She walked up the car and sat inside. Raymond pulled out onto the road.
“What took you so long?” Raymond asked as he concentrated on the road.
“I forgot where I told you to meet me so I went back up to the car park,” Charmaine kept looking down thinking about what she promised Ron.
Raymond glanced slighted at Charmaine, he took her hand and held it in his lap while he drove with the other, “Your worrying again… Michael already said he had evidence to help me and also Kevin said that he is willing help me as well.”
The mention of Kevin was sounding in Charmiane’s head, the more she thought about him the more she felt sick. She really didn’t know why he had become such a person; Charmaine didn’t answer and sat quietly the whole way home.

*Phoenix Apartment, 9:09pm*
Jessica walked into the apartment with Moses following behind her. She seriously found it annoying that he kept standing behind her, “Can you just walk next to me as oppose to following me from behind? It feels like you're stalking me.”
Moses didn’t answer her and walked into their bedroom and grabbed his clothes to take a shower. Jessica just couldn’t stand the way Moses was acting. She walked back into he bedroom and got changed. She lay in bed then got up again and carried out Moses pillows and blankets.
Just as she walked out of the room carrying the blankets and pillows Moses came out of the shower. He saw her carrying all those things and ran up to her grabbing it off of her, “Gees, why are you carrying such heavy things. Your pregnant you know, just tell me to do it next time,” Moses said in a somewhat aggravated tone.
Moses took the blankets and lay them on the couch. Jessica watched him and again without saying anything she closed her bedroom door. Moses sighed and lay on the couch staring up at the ceiling, he knew that this argument between the two was stupid and he knew that unless one of them apologies they would never pass this. But for the both of them it was a matter of pride, dignity and both having the feeling that they didn’t do anything wrong.
Hours passed, Jessica was fast asleep but suddenly awoke wanting to go to the toilet. She walked out of her room and looked over at the couch where Moses was fast asleep. He was so deep in his sleep that he had kicked his blanket onto the floor.
Jessica shook her head; Moses had always had a habit of kicking his blanket off of him, just like a little kid and it was Jessica who always covered him back up. She walked up to the couch and bent down picking up the blanket on the floor, she suddenly felt her a pain in her stomach.
She clenched her stomach, “Ah…” she squealed.
Moses jumped up awake immediately, “What’s the matter?” he asked seeing Jessica holding her stomach.
She pointed to her stomach, it hurt so much that she was barely able to speak. Her face had gone all pale and full of sweat. Moses was panicking like crazy; he picked her up off her feet and rushed out of the apartment to the hospital.

*Hospital, 3:16am*
Moses sat in the waiting room as the doctors were checking up on Jessica. He waited anxiously hoping that the both of them would be ok. A few moments later the doctor walked out of the emergency room.
Moses jumped up, “How’s my wife? Is she alright? Is the baby alright?”
“Everything is fine, its nothing much to worry about,” the doctor assured Moses, “just don’t let her do anything to strenuous during her pregnancy.”
“Thank you doctor,” Moses shook the doctors hand and walked into the emergency room where Jessica was sitting on the bed. He had an angry look to his face, “What were you doing bending up and down?” he questioned angrily, “Do you not know that you’re pregnant?”
Jessica was slightly afraid of Moses at this moment, “I was just picking the blanket up for you. I didn’t want you to catch a cold.”
Moses smiled slightly; he helped Jessica of the hospital bed and put his hand around her, holding onto her as they both walked out of the hospital, “I guess I’ll just sleep in the bedroom so you won’t have to bend up and down to cover me with the blanket.”
Jessica couldn’t help but to laugh, she held onto Moses, “I can only promise that I won’t neglect you to hand out with Ron but this doesn’t mean I won’t hand out with your brother.”
“Well I guess I won’t be so boring then,” Moses joked, he held onto her tighter. This was probably the best compromise they could come up with for the moment.

*Kingswood Apartment, 7:24pm*
It was the night before Raymond’s second trial; Charmaine sat on their bed thinking about what will happen tomorrow. Raymond walked back into the room with the suit he prepared to wear for the trial.
Raymond sat down next to Charmaine on the bed, he didn’t say anything but just sat next to her with his arm around her.
Tavia and Ron came back home from work, although they don’t work in the same department but they would always wait for each other to finish work. Ron and Tavia brought home take-away dinner and placed on the dining table.
“I’ll get Yi Ga Jie,” Tavia knocked on Charmaine and Raymond’s door, “We brought home dinner.”
Charmaine and Raymond walked outside and sat at the dinner table opposite Ron and Tavia. Everyone began eating and every so often Charmaine would glance at Ron while Ron did the same.
After dinner Raymond and Tavia were elected to do the washing. Charmaine stood at the balcony and looked at the view. Ron walked outside and stood next to her.
“You can back out now if you want,” Ron leaned against the balcony.
Charmaine shook her head, “It’s our only hope…”
Tavia walked outside on the balcony, “What are you two talking about?”
“Nothing,” Ron and Charmaine said at the same time.
Tavia crossed her arms sensing there was some secrecy between the two. Ron put on a cheesy smile and sat Tavia down on the bench putting his hand around her, “So finished washing the dishes?” he asked trying to change the subject.
Tavia gave Ron a suspicious look while Charmaine turned back around staring at the view from their building.

*Courthouse, 10:00am*
Charmaine, Jessica, Tavia, Moses and Kevin sat in the courtroom and listened to the second trial.
“Court,” the courtroom clerk announced out loud as the judge walked into the courtroom.
The trial started, Michael stood up and bowed to the judge, “I would like to call upon the first witness for the defence, Sammul Chan.”
Raymond heard Sammul’s name and thought it was weird that he was one of the witnesses, but he trusted Michael in what he was doing. Sammul walked to the witness stand and bowed to the judge before sitting down.
“Mr. Chan, on the night of Paul Ching’s death did you see my client Raymond Lam?” Michael asked.
“I…” Sammul hesitated a little, “I did.”
“Where and what time?” Michael asked.
“I remember it was around 8:30pm at Tsuen Wan, I was out at the convenient buying some stuff. After I finished buying my stuff I waited at the lights to cross the road. I saw Raymond Lam in his car waiting at the lights,” Sammul recalled.
“How is it that you remember seeing Raymond Lam so clearly?” Michael asked.
“I remember because just before I saw Raymond, there were two people arguing over a taxi so I was a bit nosy and so I watched for a while then I saw Raymond in the car,” Sammul explained.
Michael turned to the judge, “I have no further questions your honour.”
Raymond turned to Charmaine; he knew that this could be a turning point to his case.
The prosecution stood up and bowed to the judge and turned to Sammul, “Mr. Chan, you said you were at Tsuen Wan at 8:30pm but according to this police report it clearly stated that at 8:25pm you were pulled over by two police officers because you were speeding. So how can you be at two different places at once?”
Sammul looked around, “Umm… I was…” he started to stutter.
“Mr. Chan can you explain how you can be Raymond Lam’s witness when you weren’t even at the location you said you were?” the prosecution of firm with his question.
“I…I meant I was…” Sammul stuttered even more.
“Perjury is illegal Mr. Chan, I recommend that you don’t lie.”
Sammul looked over at Raymond, “Sorry Ray,” he turned to the judge, “I didn’t see Raymond Lam, he approached me and gave me a cheque telling me to be his witness, he said that he will threaten my family so I had no other choice.”
Raymond couldn’t believe what he was hear, he pointed to Sammul, “You lie!!”
