Raymond looked up at the rooftop to see Charmaine tied up hanging from the building. Raymond was about to climb up the pipes to save her but Kevin pointed his gun up at Charmaine.
“Raymond!” Charmaine screamed.
“Make a move and not only will I shoot her but she will die a painful death from falling from so high up,” Kevin said causally.
Raymond stepped back away from the house, “What the hell is wrong with you? I thought you love her, why would you treat her like that?”
“I do love her,” Kevin pointed his guy at Raymond again, “And I want her to admit her love for me too.” He looked up at Charmaine, “Tell me that you love me or I don’t know if my finger will slip and press the trigger.”
Raymond looked up and Charmaine who was in tears, “Don’t say it! Don't bend to this psycho!”
Kevin used the hand of his gun and knocked Raymond’s head making him fall to the ground bleeding, “Shut up! No one is talking to you,” he turned back to Charmaine, “Are you going to say it?” Kevin pointed the gun at Raymond’s head.
Charmaine didn’t think twice and said it, “I love you! I really, really love you. You’re the only love of my life,” she shouted as she saw Raymond on the brink of death.
Kevin laughed moving the gun a little away from Raymond, “I told you she loves me.”
Raymond saw his chance and jumped up grabbing onto Kevin’s hand, trying to knock the gun out of his hand.
Ron, Tavia and Sunny arrived at the front of the village house. Myolie had also arrived at the same time.
“What are you doing here?” Tavia asked.
“I wanted to see what you guys were up to? What does this have to do with my brother?” Myolie questioned back to Tavia.
Ron and Sunny heard noises coming from the backyard. Ron and Sunny took out their guns and ran towards the back of the house with Tavia and Myolie following behind them.
Sunny stopped Ron, “Wait here… when I give my signal then come in.” Sunny ran into the backyard and saw Raymond and Kevin wrestling on the ground. Kevin kicked Raymond’s stomach pushing him back as he grabbed his gun.
Kevin saw Sunny standing by the entrance, “What are you looking at and help me!”
Sunny ran over and aimed his gun down at the Kevin, “Freeze!”
Raymond saw Kevin being distracted again pushed him over to the ground.
“What are you doing? Get him!” Kevin shouted at Sunny who he thought was pointing the gun at Raymond.
“I’m telling you to freeze,” Sunny said to Kevin, “Ron!”
Ron, Tavia and Myolie came running into the backyard. Raymond jumped up and without think he climbed up the pipes to the top of the roof. He walked fast but carefully to the edge and pulled Charmaine back up. Raymond was careful but took a wrong step and slipped falling onto the roof letting Charmaine slip out of his hands. Raymond jumped forward and grabbed the rope that Charmaine was tied too.
Charmaine dangled in the air with Raymond holding onto the rope also half dangling from the rooftop with only his legs gripping onto chimney pipe. “Ron!!” Raymond yelled as he felt the rope slipping away from his hand.
Ron looked up at Raymond, he climbed up the pipes onto the roof and grabbed onto Raymond’s legs slowly pulling him up with all his strength. Kevin saw his chance and knocked Sunny’s gun out of his hand. He had no where to run and grabbed Tavia who was the closest to him.
Kevin held her as hostage, pointing his gun at her head, “No one move or she will get it.”
“Tavia! Dai Gor let her go!” Myolie screamed.
Ron looked down and saw Tavia being held under hostage but if he released Raymond then he and Charmaine would both fall from the roof. “Ahhh…” and pulled Raymond and Charmaine back up with all his strength.
Raymond pulled Charmaine back up and untied the ropes. He wrapped his arm around her as she cried, “It’s ok, you’re safe now.”
Ron climbed down the pipe and pulled out his gun pointing it at Kevin, “Let her go!”
Raymond helped Charmaine climb down the pipes; they ran in front of Kevin, “Please…” Charmaine cried seeing her sister in danger, “If you really love me you will let her go… please.”
Kevin moved back holding onto Tavia, he looked over at Raymond holding onto Charmaine’s hand, “Charmaine… Why? Why don’t you love me?” tears were falling from his eyes.
Charmaine took a step forward. Raymond tried to stop her but she turned around indicating she would be alright. Charmaine turned back to Kevin, “Kevin, I’m not worth it. You will find someone better.”
“No I won’t!” Kevin shouted as he clenched onto Tavia’s neck making her hard to breathe.
Charmaine took another step forward, “We could always be friends. Remember the days when we were at Tower…”
Tavia could feel Kevin releasing his grasp; she saw her chance and elbowed him in the stomach pushing him back. Charmaine saw that Kevin was about to pull the trigger and ran up to him grabbing his arm trying to stop him.
Kevin swung his arm hard knocking Charmaine onto the ground. Charmaine fell backwards onto the ground knocking her head onto the edge of the concrete pavement.
“Charmaine!” Raymond ran towards her.
By this point Kevin couldn’t control himself, he lifted his arm and aimed his gun at Tavia and pulled the trigger. Without think Myolie pushed Tavia onto the ground jumping in front of her. The bullet flew straight through Myolie’s shoulder.
“Myolie!” Kevin shouted, he never expected to hit his sister. “All because of you!” Kevin turned around pointing his gun at Raymond, “This is all because of you.”
Before he could pull the trigger a fire was shot hitting Kevin’s leg, then another bullet was shot in Kevin’s arm disarming him. Kevin fell to the ground in pain, blood was rushing out of him, he turned and looked at Charmaine who was unconscious on the ground, seeing her lying on the ground motionless made him realise what he just did to the women he loved, “Charmaine…sorry…” Kevin said under his breath.
Sunny kept his aim at Kevin as he walked towards him kicking his gun out of the way.
Tavia held onto Myolie, “Why did you…?”
Myolie’s face had gone pale, “What are best friends for?” she smiled.
Tears were rushing down Tavia’s cheek, she never expected Myolie to risk her life to save her own, “Ambulance… Call the ambulance.”
Sunny called the ambulance whilst Ron dialled back to the station for back up. Raymond lifted Charmaine up leaned her against him, “Charmaine…” he called but she had no answer. Raymond suddenly felt dripping on his hand and took a glimpse seeing his hand covered with blood dripping from the back of Charmaine’s head, “Charmaine!” Raymond held onto tightly applying pressure on her head trying to stop the blood from rushing out. Tears were flowing from his eyes as he held onto her, “Charmaine…”

*Hospital, 3:16am*
Jessica and Moses rushed to the hospital. Everyone was waiting in the emergency room for Charmaine.
“How is she? What happened?” Jessica asked Tavia and Raymond.
Tavia was crying non-stop, “She hit her head hard on the ground, splitting it open. She’s still inside.”
Jessica hugged Tavia comforting her, “She’s going to be ok, we’ve already lost one sister we won’t loose another one.”
Tavia looked up at Jessica, she knew it was time to apologies to her, “Dai Ga Jie, I’m sorry.”
“Why are you sorry?”
“All these years I’ve been so rude and bitter towards you only because I thought you were the one who blamed everything on Yi Ga Jie making her leave Hong Kong and making her turn out like the way she was. It was only recently I realised that I was wrong,” Tavia said.
“Is that why you were angry?” Jessica asked not knowing, “All these years I just thought you didn’t like how I always told you to work at Tower with me.”
Tavia hugged Jessica, “Sorry…”
Ron had come back from the police station; he walked up to Tavia and Jessica. Jessica passed Tavia onto Ron.
“Your sister will be fine…” Ron held onto Tavia as she sobbed on his shoulder, "How's Myolie?"
"She's fine now... I really can't believe I have a friend willing to risk her life for me."
Ron hugged Tavia tighter, "We have to cherish this friend."
Moses stood next to Jessica with his hand wrapped around her, he could see how worried she was and the only this he could do was comfort her and stay by her side, “She’s make it through.”
Raymond stood by the side waiting for the doctors to come out of the emergency room. He didn’t say a word and waited patiently. Ron walked up to Raymond and patted him on the shoulder, "Charmaine's a good person, everything will go well."
Raymond smiled slightly and took out his phone giving it to Ron, "I recorded Kevin's conversation he had with me. Hopefully it can help so you can prosecute him."
Ron took his phone, "Even without this we have enough to charge with attempted murder and carrying illegal firearm, but thanks this is great help."
The suddenly nurse announced over the speakerphone.“Can Dr. Steven Ma come down to emergency room two please,”
Minutes later Dr. Ma entered the emergency room. Charmaine was still unconscious and loosing blood, “Prep her for surgery,” Steven directed.
He walked out of the emergency room and up to Raymond; “I’m prepping her for surgery. The flow of blood coming out of her is uncontrollable and when she hit her head on the ground it caused a shock in her brain where a clot has formed. Don’t worry she’s in good hands.”
“Thank you…” before Raymond could finish his sentence off he felt a striking pain in his head. He clenched his head and fell to the ground, “Ahh…!!”
“Nurse!” Dr. Ma yelled as he held onto Raymond, carrying him onto a hospital bed.
Everyone rushed to see what was happening. The pain in his head was bashing against him. His vision had suddenly blurred then blacked out.
“Get him to do a CT,” Dr. Ma ordered a nurse, “Call Dr. Wong from neurology down and tell him to prep for surgery.”
Tavia ran up to Dr. Ma, “Will my sister and brother in law be ok?”
“Your sister is prepping for surgery but I still have to wait for Raymond’s result to see if he’s suitable for me to remove his blood clot. Dr. Wong is another great neurologist, he will be performing you sisters operation,” Steven informed them.
The nurses pushed Charmaine out of the emergency room along with Raymond following behind her. Jessica, Tavia, Ron and Moses watched as the both of them got pushed further away down the hall, both operating on their brain and both fighting not only fighting for their life but also fighting to be with each other.
Half an hour passed and Dr. Ma walked to the waiting room where everyone was waiting, “I have the results for Raymond Lam, the blood clot has moved to a place where I can operate but the only problem is that its pressing on a nerve that may affect his memory. If everything goes well he can gain his memory back but because the complexity of the brain he could also lose his memory again. Do you want me to proceed?”
Jessica and Tavia looked at each other, they knew that it was a risk but Charmaine would want him to be alive, “Yes please…”
Tavia, Jessica, Ron and Moses waited several hours for Charmaine and Raymond to finish their operation. The light had finally switched off for surgery that Charmaine was in. Dr. Wong walked out of the operating room with a smile to his face, he stood in front of the four of them, “The operation went well.”
“Thank you doctor,” Jessica and Tavia both were fighting to shake his hand.
Jessica and Tavia followed the nurses pushing Charmaine out and to her room whilst Ron and Moses waited for Raymond. Another hour passed and the light had switched off. Dr. Ma walked out of the operating room, “Overall, everything went well but whether he still has his memory or not, we have to wait till he wakes up.”
*Three Days Later at the Hospital, 2:03pm*
Jessica and Tavia sat by Charmaine’s bed. Her eyes started to twitch as she slowly opened them. She scanned the room and looked over at Jessica and Tavia.
“You’re awake…” Tavia said happy to finally see her sister awake.
Jessica helped Charmaine sit up, “Everything is good now that your awake…”
Charmaine kept staring at the two of them, “Who… Who are you?” she asked having no idea and no recollection who Jessica and Tavia were.
Jessica and Tavia looked at each other, “We’re your sisters.”
Charmaine had a blank look to her face; her head started hurting a little trying to think.
Tavia jumped up to get a doctor. Minutes later the doctor walked in and checked Charmaine’s chart and examined her, “Unfortunately your sister is suffering from temporary amnesia. The blow to the back of her head has caused a shock to her brain thus resulting in temporary memory loss. However even though it's temporary we still don't know when it will recover. Sorry.”
Charmaine looked at the unfamiliar faces. She felt around her bed and touched something hard. She picked it up; it was the engagement ring that Raymond gave her. She looked at it knowing it looked familiar.
*Raymond’s hospital room, 2:33pm*
Raymond sat on the hospital bed; he stared outside the window looking at the view. Ron and Moses walked inside with a basket of fruit.
“Your awake,” Ron said as he sat on the chair.
Moses put the basket of fruit down, “Great that you’re awake too. Jessica told me that Charmaine just woke up too.”
Raymond looked at Moses and Ron blankly, “Who’s Charmaine?”
Moses and Ron looked at each other with pretty much the same reaction as Jessica and Tavia had.
“Do you recognise us?” Ron asked.
Raymond shook his head having no idea who they were.
A few weeks had passed and both Charmaine and Raymond were discharged from the hospital. Jessica, Tavia, Ron and Moses didn’t mention to anyone of them about their other half, they weren’t even sure what to say to them about it and hope that either one of them could recover their memory.
Charmaine walked out of the room with Jessica and Tavia. She stopped walking; “I think I left something in the room.”
“I’ll get it for you,” Tavia offered.
Charmaine smiled, “I’ll get it myself, thanks,” she was very polite because after all her sister did feel like strangers to her.
She walked back into the room and opened the drawer and took out the engagement ring and held it in her hand. She didn’t know why but she felt that this ring was significant to her just as significant as the wedding ring she was wearing. Charmaine walked down the hall and accidentally bumped into a nurse dropping the ring.
Charmaine chased after the ring as it rolled down the hall stopping at Raymond’s feet. He bent down at the same time as Charmaine did and picked up the ring. The ring looked familiar to him, he handed the ring back to Charmaine and looked at her. Although he didn’t recognise her but there was a strong feeling of love there.
“Thanks,” Charmaine took the ring back, as she touched Raymond’s hand feelings of love came rushing back, she knew that there was some connection between them but just couldn’t remember what it was.
Charmaine turned around and walked off. Raymond stood there watching her leave, the more he stared the more familiar she was to him, he knew if he didn’t ask he would regret it for the rest of his life, “Charmaine…” he called out not knowing why he used that name.
Charmaine stopped walking, she turned back around facing Raymond. He walked up to her and reached out holding onto her hand and smiled at her.
Charmaine didn’t hesitate Raymond’s action; his hand holding onto hers felt right. Raymond saw the wedding ring on her finger and laughed a little.
“What are you laughing at?” Charmaine asked.
Raymond lifted up his hand and showed Charmaine the matching wedding ring on his finger. Charmaine smiled seeing the ring. Raymond wrapped his arm around Charmaine holding onto her. Although the both of them couldn't remember anything else but the one thing they did remember was each other.

Finally finished... Thanks for reading... hopefully the ending was alright.. the one thing about writing is that its really hard to end the story... so hopefully its alright...
