Jessica stood up very surprised and happy to see Moses, “It’s you from the plane, remember me?”
“How can I forget,” Moses said giving a fake smile while sitting down.
Jessica sat down, “Such a small world.”
“A bit too small,” Moses mumbled sarcastically to himself.
Charmaine who was sitting across from Moses heard what he said, she put her head down and started laughing to herself.
“What’s so funny?” Jessica asked.
Charmaine sat back up with a straight face, “Nothing’s funny.”
Ron leaned forward near Charmaine, “I heard it too,” he said laughing a little.
“Good, I thought I was the only one. At least no one will think I’m crazy,” Charmaine joked.
Ron laughed out loud, “You and I both can be crazy then.”
“What’s so funny?” Jessica still didn’t know what was so funny.
Tavia watched Ron talk with Charmaine and Jessica, he was like a total different person, he jokes and laughs, nothing like when he is at work.
Jessica shifted a seat closer to Moses, “So how do you find Hong Kong?”
Moses was feeling quite uncomfortable with Jessica sitting so close to him and gave her a sideways look, “Its pretty much the same.”
Jessica leaned on the table and moved a little closer, “Really? But Hong Kong has changed a lot during the past years.”
Moses shifted to the edge of his seat, “I guess I just didn’t notice anything different.”
“Interesting,” Jessica said not realising she was shifting closer to Moses, “Where in Australia did you live?”
Charmaine, Ron and Tavia all sat on the opposite side watching Jessica move closer and Moses moving further away.
Moses shifted again but didn’t realise there was no seat left to sit on and fell on the floor. He quickly stood back up, “I’m going to the restroom.”
Jessica took a sip of her drink and looked over at the other three starring at her, “What?”

*Outside Kingswood Apartment, 9:24pm*
Jessica drove into the driveway and parked her car. Tavia got out of the car and immediately went into the building.
“I’m going for a walk,” Charmaine said as she exited the building area.
Charmaine strolled along up the street and stopped at a red light, she stood there and watched the cars drive by. At this point she couldn’t help but to think about Raymond again. Although she didn’t want to but these memories seemed uncontrollable.
#Flashback Eight Years Ago#
Charmaine was running home from university and on the phone at the same time talking to Jessica, “I’ll be right back, don’t worry I got everything you wanted.”
She was running so fast she couldn’t feel her legs anymore, she dodged the people walking on the sidewalk then moved to the side. She picked up her pace a little but didn’t see the sidewalk had a little ditch. She stepped right into the ditch making her loose balance and falling on top of Raymond who was in front of her, taking him down as well.
“I’m so sorry,” Charmaine apologised as she rolled off him quite embarrassed, “Are you alright?”
She helped Raymond up, “I’m alright…” he said standing up right facing Charmaine.
Charmaine’s eyes grew wide open, “You’re bleeding,” she said pointing at Raymond’s forehead.
Raymond touched his forehead and immediately his hands were full of blood, he smiled, “its nothing, do you have a tissue?”
Charmaine quickly took out a packet of tissues and handed it to Raymond, Are you sure you’re alright, you’re bleeding quite bad.”
“I’m fine,” Raymond said putting pressure on the wound. He stood there a little with Charmaine watching him, he suddenly felt his whole head spinning around and everything around him had become blurry, “maybe you should call the ambulance,” he muttered before he collapsed on Charmaine.
“Hey!” Charmaine held onto Raymond who had fainted.

*Hospital, 8:45pm*
Charmaine waited in the emergency room for Raymond. The doctors came out and Charmaine immediately ran up to them, “How is the patient?”
“His doing fine,” one of the emergency doctors said, “just need to him to stay over night for further investigations. Are you related to him?”
Charmaine shook her head, “No, I don’t know him. I just fell on him.”
“Well his in room one if you want to see him.”
Charmaine walked slowly to room one and saw Raymond lying on the bed with a bandage wrapped around his head. She walked inside and stood by his bed, “Sorry I fell on you and making you bleed and faint. I feel so embarrassed.”
Raymond laughed a little, “I think I should be the embarrassed one, fainting on the street because of a little blood.”
“Sorry.”
Raymond sat up right facing Charmaine, “How about this, when I get out of hospital you can take me out on a date and we will call it even.”
Charmaine face started blushing a little, “I only just met you.”
“Well its fate and you can’t deny fate. Since you broke me now you have to go out with me. Plus I’m only doing this to make you feel better for splitting my head open,” Raymond joked, he looked at Charmaine who was still blushing, “I’m going to take that as a yes then?”
#End Flashback#
Charmaine stood by the road and smiled to herself as she thought of her first encounter with Raymond and how he not only asked her out in a hospital but it was the first time they actually met. A sudden thunder banged loudly followed by a pour of rain. Charmaine quickly ran towards cover but slipped and fell onto the ground. She sat on the ground in the pouring rain and looked at her knee, which was bleeding.
Raymond was on the other side of the road and saw Charmaine sitting on the ground in the rain. He didn’t know what made him do this but he felt a need to help her. He walked up to Charmaine and stood next to her holding an umbrella over her head.
Charmaine looked up stunned to see Raymond above her.
Raymond bent down to Charmaine, “You’re hurt. Hold this,” he gave Charmaine the umbrella and reached in his pocket for tissues. He applied a bit of pressure on her wound, “Does it hurt?”
Charmaine shook her head even though it was hurting her a little. She was so confused as to what Raymond was doing. At times he would be so distant but now he is so caring, this thought was playing in Charmaine’s head, “I thought you forgotten about me,” Charmaine said quietly.
The rain was pouring hard onto the umbrella so Raymond didn’t hear what she said. Raymond looked up at Charmaine, “Can you walk?”
Charmaine nodded her head and stood up with the help of Raymond. She took a step forward but the pressure was making her knee bleed more.
“I’ll carry you,” Raymond didn’t know why he did this but stood in front of Charmaine and took her hand wrapping them around his neck and lifted her up carrying her on his back and started walking.
Feelings from the past have become present as Charmaine wrapped her arms around Raymond and leaning on his back. She closed her eyes and put her head on his shoulder. Although she tried hard to forget about him but this just brought back all the sweetness between the two, she really wished that time would turn back to five years ago. Raymond kept walking, he suddenly felt a familiarity with this situation. Charmaine on his back gave him comfort and warmth something he hadn’t felt or at least he didn’t remember feeling before. He smiled to himself, something he hadn’t done for a long time, he liked this feeling inside of him.

*Hospital, 10:15pm*
Raymond was waiting outside of the emergency room while Charmaine was being treated for her wound. Moments later the doctor came out of room two.
Raymond jumped up from his seat, “How is she?”
“Nothing much to worry about, I treated the wound but she won’t be able to walk properly for the next few days,” the doctor told Raymond.
“That’s good then.”
“You’re a very good boyfriend waiting here for hours for her.”
“I’m not her boyfriend, I actually don’t even know her name,” Raymond explained.
The doctor smiled, “Wow, your very nice taking a stranger to the hospital. Well she’s in room two if you want to see her.”
Raymond walked towards room two, he paused outside and just waited. He was confused he didn’t know why he cared so much about a complete stranger. Usually he wouldn’t care or intervene in other peoples problems but it was as if he couldn’t help himself.
Raymond walked inside and saw the nurse wrapping Charmaine’s knee, “How you feeling?”
“I’m alright,” Charmaine replied.
“That’s good then,” Raymond said. “I’m going to go now.”
“Ok,” Charmaine smiled, but deep inside she wanted him to stay, she wanted to tell him and ask him a lot of questions that have bubbling around her head for the past five years.
Raymond nodded his head and turned around leaving.
The nurse had finished wrapping Charmaine’s leg, “Everything looks fine now Charmaine, I’ll just get a wheelchair to push you into the waiting room.”
The nurse walked to the information desk, “Can I get a wheelchair for the patient Charmaine Sheh thanks.”
Raymond stopped hearing Charmaine’s name, “Charmaine?” Raymond turned around and chased after the nurse, “Which patient is Charmaine Sheh?”
“She’s the patient in room two, weren’t you just in there talking to her?” the nurse replied.
“She’s Charmaine? Was she the one I was calling out for?" Raymond ran back to room two but Charmaine had already left. Raymond really wanted to know what happened to him in the past, he ran outside and scanned around outside the hospital.
Tavia was pushing Charmaine on the wheelchair towards Jessica’s car, “What happened to you?” Tavia asked.
“Fell over,” Charmaine replied trying to get up to sit in the car.
Jessica got out of the car to help, “Only gone for a few hours and you’re all hurt. How are you going to start work tomorrow.”
Tavia glared at Jessica, “She’s hurt, it’s not like she wanted to. Can’t you just stop talking about work for once?”
Jessica didn’t answer back and sat back in the drivers seat, “Let’s go.”
Raymond kept looking around but still couldn’t see Charmaine. Jessica’s car drove pass him, he watched Charmaine sitting in the car driving pass him. Without thinking he ran after the car hoping he could catch up to her and ask her about his past. Jessica saw in the rear view mirror chasing after them, Jessica had never met Raymond before so didn’t know who he was. She sped up and turned a corner leaving Raymond behind.
