A young woman wearing a pink satin jacquard robe with fleece lining sat on a white chaise with a throw pillow over her lap. Picking up a martini glass, she stirred it somewhat and sat in solitude, staring blankly at the picture hung on the wall in front of her.

It was a wedding photo she took a few months ago. There she was standing next to the man she would marry in three days. Looking at it brought her an intense feeling of guilt and anguish.

Even sitting in a beautifully decorated Victorian style mansion they would share but all she felt was guilt! She didn’t understand why. She wanted to be happier and knew her future husband could bring it to her.

She heard her bedroom door open but didn’t bother to look. It could only be her fiancé, her future husband. She casually turned around and smile at him.

His happiness was obvious through his radiant smile. “I brought the window patterns you might like.” He said walking over to her.

She stood up and smiled. “Thanks.” She replied taking a sip of her drink.

“Can you believe it? We’ll be married in three days?” he asked excitedly as he hung up another picture of them on the wall.

She reluctantly smiled. “Yeah three days.” She said and gulped down the rest of her drink. She looked over at him trying to hang another of their wedding photos on the wall. Somehow she wasn’t so comfortable getting married in three days.

He finally finished and smiled triumphantly as he turned around to face her. “How does that look?” he asked.

“Very nice.” She replied turning her engagement ring around her fingers.

He noticed and sat next to her on the chaise, picked up her hand, and pulled off her ring. Now with the ring off her fingers, she worried it would never be back on again so she immediately grabbed it.

He chuckled lightly. “Can’t you part with it?” he asked thinking she became attached to it.

She shook her head. “Not unless…” she paused. She didn’t want to say unless she left him. That was the only time she could think of taking it off.

He smiled. “Don’t ever take it off then.” He said. She nodded not too sure if she would be able to do that. “It’s engraved with our name so even if you lose it we can find it.” He said with a wink.

“I know.” She said observing his expression. She couldn’t help smiling. He was wonderful in every way. That’s why she wanted to marry him, but also the reason she couldn’t. She wasn't as wonderful as him.

“My brother and his girlfriend are flying back to Hong Kong on the day our wedding. You’ll finally meet them.” He said enthusiastically.

“Yeah, I can’t believe we’ve date for over a year but I’ve never met your brother and his girlfriend.” She said tilting her head to the side a little.

“Well since they live in England, it's hard to see them. But you’ll see them a lot more once you become my wife.” He said with a wink.

She smiled. “I can’t wait to meet them.” She said.

“Ok, I’m going to work today; I’ll meet you for dinner tonight.” He said kissing her on the forehead as he left.

She sat in solitude for about half an hour as she stared at everything in the mansion. She was finally going to have a stable life and forget about her past, about her identity, and most of all forget “HIM”, someone she should have never loved but fell in love with. Was it her desire for him or was it her passion for him? She didn’t know. But she knew getting involved with him was lethal.

Her phone rang. She picked it up and heard the voice she’s been dreading to hear. It was "HIS" voice. Him, the man she wanted to forget. Why did he call her? Goose bumps ran up her spine and chills suddenly overwhelmed her body.

“I’m outside.” He spoke as if he knew she would open the door for him.

She didn’t say anything. She was still in shocked from his phone call. It’s been over six months since they last talked. She never expected him to call her. How did he know where she was?

“I’m coming in.” he said assertively.

She immediately hung up the phone and rushed downstairs to lock the door and lock him out of her life. She was a changed person now. Now longer could her desire for him take over, she told herself as she ran down the stairs.

She suddenly halted. There he was standing in front of her. He was still handsome beyond belief, just like he was every other time she saw him. Even without words his charm shone through like the rays of sun through thick drapes. Oh how she wished to throw herself into his arms yet at the same time beat him furiously for having the nerve to see her at this moment.

She immediately straightened herself out. “How did you get in?” she asked harshly.

“I have my ways.” He replied softly.

“Get out of my house or I’ll have you arrested.” She said sternly.

He smiled coming closer to her. She stood her ground firmly. There was no way she would show any fear to this man. He finally came face to face with her on the stairway. Their breaths fell upon each other's skins.

“Leave.” She said coldly.

“What if I won’t.” he challenged her coming even closer.

He stared deep into her eyes and so much wanted to hold her. But knew she was too stubborn to let him because he made too many mistakes.

“You’ll leave my home now before I call the police on you.” she threatened him.

He chuckled. “You know the police can’t touch me,” He said rather amused as he came closer to her.

Now his lips were only centimeters away from hers. He leaned in and their lips touch.

Unexpectedly she backed away and slapped him. “Get out of my house and leave me alone!” she shouted slowly backing up the steps of the staircase.

In a reckless act, he ran up towards her. “Leave me alone!” she shouted running into her bedroom chamber.

She tripped over her own foot as she hurried to lock him out. He immediately followed and caught her. Their eyes met and she was trapped.

He leaned in to kiss her. She pushed him off her but he forced more of his kiss on her. His tongue rolled in her mouth full of passion and rage. Finally her mind was soaring with the passion from his kisses and she was powerless. It drove her mind into reckless actions.

He lifted her up into his arms as he carried her onto the bed. Never did he loosen his kiss on her soft tender lips. Those lips he’s been wanting forever. He laid her down onto the silky bed sheets and caressed the back of her head with his hands. She didn’t resist although she should have.

She let out a soft moan from his touches now filled with desire for him. He knew and proceeded to undo the slash of her robe. Tonight he would convince her of the mistake she made in choosing another man. She belonged to him, no one else!

He kissed her as she pulled his shirt over his muscular body. The thought of her fiancé slipped out of her mind. She undid his pants and pulled them off. He laid her down gently as he kissed her from lips to face and moved down her body. She moaned in delight and pleasure as they made love.

( ( TWO DAYS LATER ) )

She knew this was the only thing to do. She had to do it. There was no other choice. She took off her wedding ring and laid it on top of the table in the entrance hall next to a note she wrote for her fiancé. There she explained everything she had to say.

She looked around the mansion and the life she could have. But a mistake was made and now she had to leave both men. That was her only freedom from this and her past. The only way she could be sure they both lived happily. Both men were capable of killing each other and she was their fight, their desire, their challenge.

As she got into her car she called her two best friends. She wanted to make sure they were in good hands after she left. She had a yearning desire for one man and a deep care for the other.

She always knew her two best friends were both in love with these two men, so they would probably take care of them. Her best friends asked her where she was going and she could only respond, somewhere far away.

( ( MONTHS LATER ) )

“Fuck she’s dead!” an older of two men yelled at the younger one. “Why can’t you accept that!” Ekin shouted at his younger brother.

“She’s not dead!” the younger yelled shaking his head. “That’s not her body!” the younger said in denial.

Ekin dragged his younger brother down the steps of the house. His body fell against the steps bruising his body but that was nothing compared to losing "HER"; the love of his life. Only if he told her he loved her.

“If you don’t think that’s her then find her!” Ekin shouted.

“He killed her! I know he did! He wanted me dead but he killed her!” the younger one shouted.

“What's your proof?” Ekin yelled trying to wake his younger brother up from his deranged denial of her death and accusations.

“I know he did!” the younger brother shouted storming out of the room angrily. He was determined and nobody would stop him from finding the truth.

Ekin was unable to convince his younger brother to let it go, He shook his head. "She's just a fuckin woman! There're plenty of them in the streets." he said. He never experienced love so he didn’t quite understand what his younger brother was going through.

( ( MEANWHILE in another mansion ) )

“I don’t give a dam!” the younger of two men shouted. “I want him dead! He killed her!”

“It’s not his fault.” The older of the two said. “According to police records it was….” Louis was saying but his younger brother cut him off.

“No it was his fault. He was jealous of her marriage to me so he killed her. I know he did.” He yelled.

“It was an accident.” Louis said trying to convince his younger brother.

“It was no accident!” the younger man yelled. “He deliberately murdered her.”

Louis pulled his younger brother up. “He loved her too, how could he kill her?” he asked.

“Would you kill your girlfriend if she was marrying another person?” the younger brother asked Louis.

Louis halted for a moment not sure of his own answers. "That is ridiculous!" Louis shouted.

The younger brother stormed out of the room. He was upset and determined to prove the death of his bride was no accident.
