I dragged my feet towards the hospitalroom 234 just like I have done the past month. I was healing, the bullet I had been shot with had left me a scar. But JaeJoong on the other hand, was in coma. He had already been in coma for a month now. They managed to keep his heart beating but they had no idea when he were suppose to wake up. The chance was there but that small tiny hope of ours was slowly fading away as the time kept passing.
The other guys were devastated. They were trying to keep their smiles, trying to live their life normally but since I was kind of living with them, filling up Jae's place for the time being, of course I could see them suffering. They were thinking, praying and always encouraging each other that he was going to wake up soon..
I sighed as I stopped outside JaeJoong's hospitalroom. It has already been a month since the accident. I entered with heavy sighs and closed the door behind. The sound from the machines, the oxygen helping him to breathe as well as the machine that was connected to his brain, checking the diagnose of his brain. His heart was at least beating. If you don't look at those stuff, you could probably assume that he was sleeping..
I walked towards the bed, with the only light coming from the corner just like every other night. He was still lying there, on the exact same place like he had been doing for the past month. His eyes shut peacefully, his chest giving away deep and long sounds, the oxygen mask helping him breathe. His hands had needles, and the beeping was continuously beeping. .
I looked at him as I lied back on the chair and watched him
"Hey bro.. it's me"
I looked at him, no response like the other days
"I'm sorry for not visiting you.. yesterday.. I was kind of busy. But you know it's kind of getting boring to come here and the only answer I get from you is that freaking heartbeat of yours.."
I tried to joke but inside of me, the pain and sadness of seeing him suffering like this was making me choke on my breath..
"The other guys.. aren't doing so well.. They're worrying a lot.."
I didn't want to speak about Minji. I couldn't.. but I knew that whenever I was here, that was the only thing to do. I felt myself relaxing when I was somehow talking to JaeJoong about Minji. He wasn't awake but I believed that somewhere inside of his head, he could probably hear me. I was silently praying that the constant talk about Minji would might help him to wake up
I didn't want to talk about my observations of Minji with the other guys. They had already enough with stuff to worry about, not to mention that they had their missions to do. I had my own..
"I'm looking out for her, taking care of her.. But dude, you really need to come back and save her.. She's.. basically.. choking.." I whispered as I looked at JaeJoong
His eyes remained closed
"She's.. heartbroken. And she keep blaming herself that if she.. hadn't met you, the others and me, none of these stuff would have happened.. Jae, you really need to tell her the truth that you don't regret it. I know you don't" I mumbled
Of course I knew JaeJoong didn't regret it. But I knew that it doesn't matter if it comes out of my mouth or if it comes out of the other guys mouths. She needed to hear JaeJoong say it. She did visit him, but she only managed to be here for an hour before she totally burst out into tears. The memories of the accident was too much for her. She has changed. In a good and a bad way. The good is, she can take care of herself
The bad is, she keeps on learning self defense, spending day in and out to fight. She was probably fighting away the pain and such but.. she couldn't really see that she was making her body suffer. But I guess the heartache was speaking more than her body was. She didn't care about anything else..
She did sleep.. she did eat. But.. she was like a ghost. Barely spoke. You couldn't hear her unless you were standing a few feet away. You couldn't even feel her presence. She was a dead walking living person..
It's.. sad. Pitiful..
I looked at JaeJoong
"You better come back soon. She's.. fading away. Slowly.. and none of us can stop it. She needs you man.. We all do" I mumbled
Suddenly I could hear the door being opened and I spun around to see Yunho entering, himself tightly wrapped in a jacket and a scarf
"Hey" I said
"Hi"
The silence took over as Yunho stopped himself in his tracks and looked down at JaeJoong, standing right next to his bed
"No.. change?" Yunho asked
I don't know why he even bothered to ask, it was already pretty obvious that.. there was no change
I shook my head
Yunho let out a heavy sigh as he sat down at the side of Jae's bed. He then turned to me
"Minji is out again"
I didn't answer, the silence was pretty much of an answer. We all knew that she was out
"We have to help her.." Yunho said sadly
"We can't and you know that" I said
"But there must be something.. I mean.. she's.. Jae... they're.."
Yunho couldn't finish his sentence but could you blame him ? I did understand exactly what he was saying but.. With JaeJoong in Coma, Minji had no reason to continue living, or that was my definition of her at the moment.. And I do understand the guy's concern about her but we all knew that the only one who could really save her now was Jae, but of course, with him lying here, that would impossible..
"Jae, you better come back to us.. Letting us wait like this.. it's.. not nice" Yunho tried to laugh but it soon turned out to be sobbing..
I sighed
"COme back man.. I don't like saying it several times.." I mumbled
Suddenly the door flew up and Junsu, Changmin and Yoochun entered, their eyes frightened and scared as all of them were breathing heavily. Yunho and I stood up immediately
"What's wrong? Why do you..." Yunho started but got cut off by Changmin
"Minji! She.. she.. took the car!" Changmin said
"Mwoh?!" Yunho and I chorused
"She.. just took the car and ran off.. and the.. tracker on our car is gone. She had smashed it, leaving it on the garden!" Yoochun panicked
"WHAT?!?!?!?" I shouted frustrated
"YAH! HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!" Yunho shouted frustrated
"NO IDEA! SHE RAN OFF WITH JAEJOONG'S HYUNG'S CAR! AND THERE'S NO FREAKING TRACKER!!!!" Yoochun said frightened
"WHAT THE...! WHAT DO WE DO NOW?! HOW ARE WE SUPPOSE TO FIND HER?! WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?!?!?!" I shouted
"I was going out, checking the cars since I somehow felt a bit strange and then I saw the tracker on Jae's hyung on the grass and his car gone. Minji was gone and I thinks he left about 30 minutes before I discovered that!" Junsu said
"F*CKING SHIT!!" Yunho groaned
Suddenly the beeping gave away and all of us spun around to see the machine loosing it's control. Something was happening to JaeJoong
"JAEJOONG!!" All of us shouted at the same time
Soon doctors and nurses rushed into the room, all 5 of us were brought outside as all of us kept screaming his name
With Minji gone, and JaeJoong possibly having a heartattack, what are we suppose to do now?!
