I stared at Donghae as he was smiling at me
"Congrats, She's pregnant Appa JaeJoong"
I heard the other guys gasp as Min young choked as she heard that
"She's... what?!" Yunho gasped
"Pregnant and I believe it's JaeJoong's since she's already in the middle of her 2nd month" Donghae said
"But.. how come.. she.... She's pregnant? As in.. having a child?" Yoochun asked
Donghae nodded
"Those things that's small and runs around and screams daily?" Junsu asked
Donghae laughed but kept nodding
"There's a baby in there.. in the stomach? Growing.. inside of her?" Changmin asked and pointed at her stomach as Minji was still lying on the bed, sleeping
Donghae nodded
"You morons. SHE IS P R E G N A N T ! She's having a baby and that father is no other than JaeJoong himself" Kibum stated trying to clear all the stupid questions out of everyone's head
No one said anything and soon I felt everyone's eyes piercing me, looking at me, staring, glaring I don't know but their eyes were on me and waiting for me to say a word, anything in order to know what was going on inside of my head. But the thing was, I had no idea myself. I looked at my fingers, my hand that was holding Minji's hand tightly and then I looked at her face. How is it possible that she's pregnant? There hasn't been any signs of it and if she knew why didn't she tell me?
"JaeJoong?" Donghae asked slowly
I cleared my throat as I felt it a bit dry. I grabbed the glass of water right next to the bed and I had one shot with it. When I was done I put it back and scratched the back of my neck
"I think it's time for you to say something Mister" Kibum said
I felt the butterflies inside of me stomach, I felt like I was going to do something big, something that managed to make me feel this way, waiting for something exciting, the adrenaline to rush through my body . I was nervous but I had no idea why
"First of all.. JaeJoong.. How are you feeling about the news? Do you have any questions?" Donghae asked as he looked at me
"he's pale" Yunho said as he suddenly appeared in front of me
Everyone made their way over to Donghae so that they could all look at me
"How are you feeling? Do you need to go outside?" Yoochun asked
"Y . .eee.s..." I stuttered
Yoochun helped me up and all of us went outside as Donghae sent a nurse in to check up on Minji. We sat down outside and Donghae grabbed her folder that had been attached to her door and soon he walked over
"Hyung? Gwenchana?" Changmin asked slowly
"He's just shocked.. That's all" Hyun Joong said
"Who wouldn't? Becoming a father is a big responsibility" Yunho said a bit too harsh to Hyun Joong but Hyun Joong didn't seem to mind
Someone was holding grudges or just being extremely careful
"JaeJoong .. did you know she was pregnant?" Donghae asked
I shook my head
"I had no idea" I said and looked at Donghae
He nodded
"Did she ever show any symptoms ?" Donghae asked
"The only symptoms I know is that they get very.. emotional easily .. very sensitive and.. vomiting" I said
"Did she show any of those symptoms then?"
I shook my head
"Did you see anything like that?" Donghae asked
The others guys shook their heads aswell
"She was very.. timid and calm. She was normal.. Didn't talk so much at all and was keeping her to herself.. Being quiet" Changmin said
"I know but it's normal. Not everyone shows symptoms.. It might appear later" Donghae said
"Are you sure I'm the father?" I asked and stood up
Donghae looked at me
"Of course I am. I don't even need to take a test to know. It's not like she.. has.. uhm.. made love to anyone else and I know she loves you and you love her right? Besides, she's literally been locked up inside of your house.. Or not really locked up but chained herself not daring to go out and she never.. met another guy right ?" Donghae asked
I nodded
"She was never sexually abused or raped by others right? you were protecting her right?" Donghae asked
I nodded
"Unless.. any of the other guys did something?" Donghae said and his glasses slide down on his nose a bit and he looked behind me, and eyed the other guys
I felt jealousy overwhelm and taking over my body and mind as I spun around and looked at them.
"Wooow wooww.... we haven't touched a single hairstrand on that girl. Not in the romantic way Hyung.. you're the one" Junsu said immediately
I raised an eyebrow and looked at Donghae
"You didn't.. use protection.. right?" He asked
I was about to say yes but then.. I tried to recall if we did and soon enough I came to the conclusion that we didn't. I guess I was so immersed to making love to her that I totally forgot.. and so did she.. Pretty.. irresponsible
"Everyone, how about we take a cup of coffee and talk about this inside of the office?" Donghae suggested
Everyone followed him, my dragging my feet slowly behind, trying to understand what just have happened. She was having a baby. Both of us.. were going to become parents..
I blankly sat down in the circle as everyone did the same and the constant silence were apparently breaking the guys down
"HYUNG! YOU BETTER SAY SOMETHING! MINJI IS PREGNANT DAMN IT!! TELL US WHAT YOU'RE THINKING!!" Changmin bloated out, finally able to get out the words he had been struggling to keep inside of him
"What do you want me to say?" I asked and looked at him
"ARE YOU HAPPY?! SAD?! ARE YOU GOING TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT?!" Changmin said angrily
"Changmin calm down. It's still a shock you know?" Yunho said and tried to calm Changmin down
Changmin took a deep breath and sat down and Donghae looked at me
"Look, Uhm.. I don't think that Minji knows about this" Donghae said
"Apparently not cause if she knew she wouldn't have gotten herself into that battle between JaeJoong and her" Junsu said
"Battle?" Donghae gasped and stared at us
"Long story" Kibum said and gestured with his hands that it was nothing to care about
Silence once again took over and no one didn't even utter one word, a sound. I had no idea to say cause I was still in shock. I had no idea if I should laugh or cry, scream our be quiet.
"Who's telling Minji?" Kibum asked, breaking the silence
That instantly made me wake up
"She doesn't know?" I asked a bit dazed
"Uhm yeah.. We just talked about it. She doesn't know.. So do y ou want to say it or should Donghae do it?" Kibum asked and looked at me
I met his eyes and I saw that he was serious. He wasn't going to push me into doing anything I guess he was just trying to help me out. Cause getting news like this .. it was a big of a change. It was going to change a lot
"I want to tell her" I said and stood up
"You're sure?" Donghae asked
I nodded
"I'm certain"
"Hyung.. what are you planning to do?" Yoochun asked
I sighed
A sudden knock interrupted us, not giving me a chance to answer the question and a nurse entered.
"What's wrong?" Donghae asked
"She's awake and she's asking for.. Mr JaeJoong~ssi" The nurse said
"Alright, thank you" Donghae said
The nurse closed the door and everyone turned to me. I couldn't move at first cause I know that this was it. I had to tell her but how am I suppose to begin, How are you even suppose to tell someone anything like this? We hadn't expected this at all and I knew that it meant a lot of sacrifices when it you're settling down and I have no idea if Minji was prepared for any of this
But as I thought about it, seeing her pregnant, seeing her going through 8 months, carrying our child was something that I were going to witness. Something that wouldn't be able to express with words and actually, seeing our kid.. my son or daughter growing up, having Minji's smile, her ears and hands.. and perhaps my eyes and nose..
It was something magical wasn't it ? A new life was growing inside of her and I'm becoming a dad. I would get to see my kid grow up from day one until my eyes would shut close
"He's smiling" Min Young exclaimed
I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at them and the goofy smile refused to leave my lips
"I guess the shock is over and the happiness is taking over huh?" Yunho grinned
I slowly nodded and laughed embarrassed
"I'm.. becoming dad.. I will become a dad.." I mumbled to myself, half dazed as I walked towards the door.
I left the others and stopped outside Minji's room as I tried to restrain myself. Yunho was right, the happiness was finally coming onto me and not to mention that I was actually so excited that I wanted to jump up and down. But I put on a pokerface as I knocked on the door, taking a deep breath and preparing myself. I opened the door slightly after hearing Minji answering and she was tiredly lying on the bed, the room now fully lightened.
"Hi there.." I whispered softly and walked over to her
She smiled back
"Hi.." She whispered
"How are you feeling?" I asked as I took her hand and sat down at the edge of the bed
"I'm.. feeling a bit weird actually and I don't know why" She said
I chuckled and caressed her cheek as she closed her eyes tiredly, feeling my fingers smoothly caressing her
"I have something to tell you" I said slowly and looked at her
"Sounds.. serious" She whispered and opened her eyes again "What's wrong?"
"Nothing's.. wrong.. It's you" I said slowly
"What about me?"
"Have you been feeling weird lately? Becoming a lot more emotional or sensitive when you don't have to? Vomiting?"
"Why are you asking me these questions? No.. I haven't.." She said slowly
I smiled
"Have you been eating .. a lot? Felt like you want to eat even though you're not hungry?" I asked and kept smiling at her
"JaeJoong.. You're scaring me.. Am I sick?"
I shook my head
"What's wrong then?"
I sighed happily as I brought my right hand and put gently on her stomach. She didn't understand what I was doing but I started to slowly caress her stomach
"You're.. pregnant"
I don't think Minji heard it at first cause she was expressionless. But as I heard the clock ticking her face slowly changed and she looked down on her stomach
"Pregnant?" She whispered to no one special
"You're.. pregnant.. You're having a baby.. Our baby" I said slowly
I was trying to read her expression, any signs or feelings that she would eventually show but she stayed focus and quiet. I had no idea what was goin gon inside of her head but she kept looking at my hand that was resting carefully on her stomach
"We're.. parents?" She asked and looked up
I chuckled
"Not yet.. Uhm.. but soon to be" I said slowly
Suddenly I saw something falling from the corner of her eye and she met my eyes
"Why... a...re you crying?" I stuttered as I felt the panic coming
"Jae.. We're having a baby.. Our baby" She whispered
"Is that.. happy or a..."
I didn't even have time to finish my sentence before she pulled me down and hugged me tightly. She instantly started to cry onto my shoulder as she was holding me tightly and she was sobbing constantly.
"Hey Hey.. Uljima~" I whispered and pulled away in order to wipe away her tears
She chuckled and looked down on her stomach and soon i saw her touching her stomach.. I waited for her to say something but seems like she was lost in her own world
"Does that mean that you're happy?" I asked a bit uncertain, not sure of how I react or say at the moment
She nodded
"I'm more than happy right now" She whispered
I let out a sigh of relief as a tear slowly fell down on my cheek. I leaned forward and planted a kiss on her forehead
Soon the doors opened and everyone came in applauding. Seems like they had been watching us for quite sometime cause seems like they have been down to the souvenir store and bought Minji some stuff. Junsu was holding a teddybear, Changmin and Yunho a few balloons and Yoochun flowers. Kibum and Min Young was holding a box of chocolate while Hyun Joong brought some cake
"Congratulations!" Everyone cheered
