As I mentioned briefly in chapter 5 when Myolie said, "Because my days on earth have been numbered." I purposely wrote this line to indicate that Myolie has some kind of terminal illness, but since I didn't want to dwell into that because that would bring the focus away from the story. Thus, I thought that that line is obvious enough, but of course, it's clear now that it wasn't as obvious as I thought.
Myolie had already made the decision to kill herself before the date of her death and before her second meeting with Raymond, that's why the 27th was mentioned and must be the day Raymond had to do the job. Notice that in chapter 3 when Raymond was in the church, the woman who handed him the assignment was Myolie herself. During Raymond's stay in paradise, Myolie figured out along the way that Raymond was a hired assassin.
As for whether Raymond love Myolie or not is up to you guys, hahaha. I made him to have feelings for her, but it's not necessarily love, but more of affections. It's obvious that he had feelings for her or else he would never have refused to do the job when he first found out. Raymond is a professional and he never had refused or failed. So, in the end he yielded to her final wish because if he didn't do it, she would have died in a painful death anyway. Might as well get it over and done with, hehehe.
In conclusion, I didn't mean to make this story pessimistic at all. In actuality, it was meant as to be uplifting in a twisted predicament like this. "Live life as if tomorrow is your last day on earth" and Myolie's character really encompassed this phrase. She was able to turn Raymond around. He was so detached and devoid of human emotions before he met her, and she changed him. So her existence wasn't wasted. In her final days, she was able to enjoy life to the fullest and continued to until the very moment of death, so once again, this story was meant to be uplifting. Believe it or not.
Thank you for those who read this story and took time to comment, especially compliments, hahaha. I'm glad that you guys asked questions, and I finally got off my lazy butt to answer. Hopefully it's not too late, hehehe.
