I was peacefully sleeping in my bed, until I felt my bed moving up and down. I slowly opened my eyes and saw that Jiyong was sitting on my bed, placing a box on the pillow next to the one I was sleeping on.
“What’s that?” I asked while rubbing my eyes.
Jiyong kissed me on the cheek.
“Happy four year anniversary love.”
I sat up and ran my fingers through my hair to get it out of my face.
“Babe, I thought we agreed on not exchanging gifts.”
“I know, I know, but it’s not a gift. It’s part of your surprise.”
“Jiyong…you’re bad with surprises.”
“No, I’m not. You just always ruin them, but not this time. I promise, it’s gonna be the biggest surprise ever and you’re gonna love it. Here take it.” He handed me the box.
“But Jiyong, I can’t accept this. I didn’t even buy you anything.” I pushed the box away.
“Don’t worry about it okay? Just open it.” He handed me the box again.
I placed it on my lap and slowly pulled the ribbon apart. I opened the box and took out a lovely short black dress. I looked at the tag and it read Vera Wang.
“Jiyong, this is really expensive.”
“Wait, there’s more.” He picked up a bag from the floor and handed it to me.
I folded the dress neatly back in to the box and placed it next to me. I looked into the bag and found a shoebox. I opened the box and picked up one of the shoes. It was a Gucci black peep toe pump.
“Jiyong, how much did all of this cost?”
“Compared to the love I have for you, its nothing.”
I made a confused face.
Okay?
I put the shoe back into the box and handed it to Jiyong, along with the dress.
“Jiyong, this is too much.”
“If you’re not going to keep it, at least wear it for tonight.”
“But what if I drop something on it?”
“Well, then I guess you have to keep it.” Jiyong smirked. “I’ll see you later okay?” He kissed me on my cheek, got up and left my room.
I got out of bed and cleaned myself up.

I looked at myself in the mirror to see how the Vera Wang dress looked on me. It fitted my body perfectly. I turned around several times making sure that I looked okay. After adding finishing touches to my hair and makeup, I grabbed my black clutch bag and headed downstairs. Jiyong was waiting in the living room in a black tuxedo along with Seungri and my mom.
“You look so pretty!” My mom squealed as she got her camera ready.
“You look beautiful baby sis.” Seungri gave me a hug.
“Thanks oppa.” I hugged him back.
“Jiyong come here, I want to take a picture of you two.” My mom said.
Jiyong stood next to me.
“Mom, please don’t do this, you’re acting as if we’re going to prom.” I complained.
“Smile!” She held the camera up and ignored me.
I let out a chuckle and smiled with Jiyong.
“Jiyong put your hand around her waist, you too Yoobin.” My mom directed.
My mom pressed the button and several flashes went out.
“Okay now, Jiyong hug her from behind.” My mom kept moving her hand up and down as if she was fanning the air.
“Mom, that’s enough. They’re going to be late.” Seungri put his hand on our mom’s arm to lower the camera.
“Okay…have fun you two!”
“Thanks man.” Jiyong gave Seungri a handshake. “Bye.” He waved goodbye.
“Bye, see you later.” I waved goodbye to my mom and Seungri.
I put on my Gucci shoes and went outside.
“So what are we doing today?” I asked as Jiyong and I walked to his car.
“You’ll see. It’s a surprise.” Jiyong took out a handkerchief out of his pants pocket.
“Not again, Jiyong I don’t want to put that on.” I complained.
“Please?” Jiyong made a sad puppy dog face, while bringing the handkerchief closer to me.
“No!” I moved his hands.
“Come on, let me put it on!” Jiyong whined as he tried to blind fold me.
“No, I already know where we’re going!” I complained.
“No you don’t, that’s why you have to put it on!”
“Yes, I do! You always bring me to the beach when you do this.”
“Not this time. I’m taking you somewhere else you’ll like.” Jiyong let out a smile.
“Fancy restaurant?” I half guessed.
Jiyong’s smile quickly went away.
“Yup, it’s a fancy restaurant.” I said nonchalantly while nodding.
“You know surprises are meant to be a surprise and you just seem to always ruin them…” Jiyong put his head down, stuffed his hands in his pockets and kicked the ground.
Aww…he’s so cute.
“Fine, forget what I said. I’ll put it on.”
“Yeah!” Jiyong head shot up with a huge smile on his face.
He carefully blinded folded me and helped me get into the car.

Jiyong slowly pulled me out of the car, making sure I don’t hit my head. He placed his hands on my shoulder and started guiding me to our destination. I walked at a very slow pace, scared that I might trip and fall. We were only walking for a couple of minutes, but it felt as if we were walking for over an hour.
“How much longer do we have to walk?” I complained.
“We’re almost there, stop complaining.”
“Well sorry, but it’s scary walking when you’re blindfolded.”
All of a sudden Jiyong shook me and screamed “Watch out!”
I screamed and abruptly stopped walking.
Jiyong started laughing.
“You punk!” I tried to hit him, but couldn’t see where I was hitting.
“What? You know what, I’m leaving you here.”
“Jiyong!” I whined like a little child.
“Just kidding.” Jiyong placed his hands on my shoulders and we started walking again.
After a couple of more steps Jiyong stopped me from walking.
“Ready to be amazed?”
“Yup!”
Jiyong took off my blindfold. I blinked several times to clear my vision.
“Wow, you did all of this?”
“Yup.” Jiyong said proudly.
It was a room filled with cream and gold balloons and streamers. All of the tables were square and covered with white table cloth and had two chairs. The only table that was different was the one in the center of the room. The center table had candles floating in a small fishbowl, plates, napkins, utensils, champagne glasses, and a bottle of champagne in a silver bucket neatly arranged on the table. On the side of the room there was an orchestra, dressed in white tuxedos, playing nice smooth mellow music.
Jiyong held onto my hand and led me to the center table. The waiter helped us get seated and pour champagne in our glasses. He disappeared some where and came back with two plates of food. We contently ate our food while talking and staring in each other eyes. When we were done eating, Jiyong got up from his seat and stuck his hand out to me.
“May I have this dance?” He asked in a low smooth voice.
I took his hand and got out of my seat. He placed his other hand around my waist and I placed mine on his shoulder. We started swaying side to side, slowly to the music.
“This is really nice Jiyong.” I whispered in his ear. “You were right, I do love it.”
“Really?”
“Yup.” I nodded.
“But this wasn’t surprise yet.” He pulled away from me and nodded his head over the door.
I made a confused face and turned around. I saw other people coming in, dressed up as well. Seungri and Daesung were wearing a white shirt with a black vest and a bow tie. TOP, Taeyang, and my step dad were wearing black tuxedos. Sunmi was wearing a cute pink dress, and my mom was wearing a simple black dress. I turned back around and saw that Jiyong was kneeling down on one foot. My eyes widen.
“Baby, we’ve been together for a long time now and I know what it feels like to be with and without you. Throughout these years we had a lot of great times and fun and I want to take it to the next step. I want to start a new life with you.” He stuck his hand in his
pocket and took out a small black box. He opened the box, revealing a ring with three big sparkling diamonds. He gently took my left hand and looked up at me. “Kim Yoobin, will you marry me?”
Tears of joy started to form in my eyes.
“Yes!” I nodded.
“WHOOO!!!” The crowd cheered and clapped.
“Kiss her!” Daesung yelled.
Jiyong slipped the ring on my finger, stood up, kissed me and hugged me.
“Aww…” The crowd said in unison.
“Surprise.” Jiyong whispered in my ear. “Didn’t I say you weren’t going to ruin this surprise this time? See? I kept my words.”
I smiled at him and kissed him.
“Yoobin, can I see your ring?” Sunmi asked.
I lifted my hand up and let her analyze it.
“Wow, it’s so pretty.” She looked up at Daesung, who was standing next to her.
Daesung quickly turned his head away and pretended to look at something else. Sunmi pouted and continue to look at my ring.
“Yoobin, I hate to say it, but we officially can’t hook up now.” Taeyang slowly shook his head and look to the floor.
“Yah!” Jiyong pushed Taeyang.
“Taeyang, why do you always do that?” TOP asked.
“What?” Taeyang acted innocent.
“Get your own girl and stop tryna get at mine.” Jiyong said sternly.
“Just leave them two alone.” TOP said.
“Okay, okay.” Taeyang raised both of his hands, signaling that he surrenders while slowly walking backwards.
I kissed Jiyong on the cheek.
“You’re so cute when you’re jealous.” I pinched his cheeks.
“Yeah? You know what else is cute?”
“What?”
“You.” He kissed me. “I love you wifey Kwon.”
“I love you too hubby Kwon.”
The end.
