Chapter 29

UnTouched

Jae Pov: It’s over, I’m done. I can’t take it anymore..

JaeJoong ran past Yunho and out the door. Yunho didn’t budge as he felt the world come crashing down. With all his anger he snapped the necklace around his neck and threw it across the wall making it break in half.

“DAMMIT!” cursed Yunho, clutching onto his hair, ready to rip his it out.

Tears of frustration and sadness rolled down Yunho’s cheeks as he fell to the ground. He eyed the necklace that was thrown out of anger and slowly crawled towards it. Yunho widened his eyes as he got closer, seeing a small key attached to the inside of the pendant. He reached for it frantically and examined it.

“What is this? Why can’t I remember?”

Yunho felt like an idiot at this moment and his conscious was debating with him.

“What do keys do Yunho?” asked his conscious

“They open stuff.” replied Yunho.

“And what do they open?”

“I don’t know..doors, boxes?”

“BOXES!” said Yunho, slapping himself mentally.

He raced upstairs and barged into his room. Yunho rampaged through his drawers looking for the
blue box that he and JaeJoong found that day at his house.

“Got it!” smiled Yunho, holding onto the object. He nervously pressed the key into the hole and
clicked it open. Inside was a note and an exact replica of his necklace that he had just broken.

Yunho opened the note carefully and read it out loud, “Dear stranger, I will never forget the day
that I met you. For some reason when I saw you, I had this sudden urge to help you because you looked so vulnerable.
Funny isn’t it? I’m just a kid and yet I’m already trying to act like an adult. I do hope we meet again. And remember,
wherever you go, whenever you need me, I’ll always come for you..because I think I fell in love with you at first sight.

Love, Jung Yunho.

Yunho dropped the letter out of his hands and fell to the ground. Flashbacks of his childhood bombarded its way into his mind one by one. The day he met that little boy and fell in love with him was the day he got into a car
accident and lost most of his memory.

Yunho Pov: That’s why I always feel like something’s missing. That’s why the day JaeJoong appeared in my life, I felt as though I had seen him before! He’s the boy I fell in love with from the past!

Yunho ran downstairs and out the door at light speed. It was 10 o clock at night and it was raining just like the first night JaeJoong stayed in his house. He ran around the whole city looking for JaeJoong in the pouring rain.

11:30 pm.

Yunho, drenched and tired, dropped to the ground. Tears mixed with rain were falling down his cheeks as he buried his face in his hands.

“Jae..where are you..”

*Flashback*

Did you know that rain is the best weather to be waiting in?"

Yunho raised an eyebrow,"Why?"

JaeJoong replied in a quiet, almost inaudible voice,

"Because..someone will always come for you."

*end*

“That’s it!” realized Yunho, “He’s there. At the same place where I first met him.”

Yunho wasted no time and once again ran to his destination. He didn’t care if he was going to
catch a cold or even worse die. All he wanted was to be with JaeJoong, no even just to be
able to see him would be enough.

11:55 p.m.

Yunho finally arrived at the place and looked around hysterically for JaeJoong.

There he was, sitting under the same rooftop with his knees up to his face, shedding painful tears.

“Jae..” called Yunho.

JaeJoong thought it was a dream. Was he really hearing Yunho’s voice? If it is a dream, please don’t let him wake up.

Yunho walked up to JaeJoong and stared at him with caring eyes, “JaeJoong ah. I came back for you.”

JaeJoong looked up with tear-stained eyes. His ghostly figure was slowly disappearing.

“JaeJoong, JaeJoong!” shouted Yunho.

“I’m sorry Yunho..”

“Yunho reached towards JaeJoong but what good would that do, he was fading away by the second.

“Because of you I made great memories all over again. Thank you.” replied JaeJoong, with tears rolling around his beautiful brown orbs.

“Don’t leave JaeJoong! I don’t want you to leave!” yelled Yunho, he was on the verge of committing suicide.

JaeJoong gave Yunho one last smile and vanished into thin air.

Yunho cupped his face and whispered, “Please don’t leave me JaeJoong…I love you..”

The clock ticked 12 a.m.

Yunho cried like he had never before. He never cried like this. No, not even when his mom left him.

All of a sudden a voice silenced his tears.

“Is that true Yunho? Do you really love me?”

Yunho knew that voice. He could acknowledge it from a mile away. But he was afraid,
afraid that the voice was not real and God was just messing with him. Without turning around
he answered.

“Yes, I do. So much that it hurts, and it was stupid of me to not say it sooner because now you’re not here anymore.”

“I’m right here Yunho, turn around.”

“What if you’re not there?”

“Do you trust me?”

“Yes, more than anyone else.”

“Then turn around.”

Yunho hesitated but slowly turned his body around. He widened his eyes as he saw JaeJoong in front of him smiling like an angel.

“JaeJoong..I thought you were..” Yunho couldn’t say it.

JaeJoong approached Yunho and slowly extended his hand towards Yunho’s face.

Yunho flinched when he felt the warmth of the hand illuminate throughout his body. JaeJoong was able to touch him, why?

Yunho was about to ask but JaeJoong shut him up with a kiss. After they parted JaeJoong looked lovingly into Yunho’s eyes, while the other did the same.

“I love you Jung Yunho, and I have, since the day we met.” whispered JaeJoong with a tint of embarrassment.

Yunho’s heart skipped a beat, it was just like a dream.

“I love you too Kim JaeJoong, always had, and always will.”

The two bodies that were once untouched, came together and embraced each other with love and
passion. The times of sadness and anger did not matter anymore. All that mattered was the love
between these two. Love can truly overcome any obstacle. Even between a life and death situation.
