one listened to Yoo Bin, though. They stared at the figure towering over Yoo Bin, from behind. Slowly, she turned
around, and saw- “Uh...uhm,” Yoo Bin cleared her throat, “who are you...exactly?” He smirked, “Who am I? I think
you should be more worried about what i'm gonna do to YOU...” He stepped closer towards Yoo Bin, but she
pushed him back. “And what EXACTLY are you gonna do to me...?”she challenged him...its kinda embarrassing,
when he's TOWERING over you, and you have to tip-toe to meet him eye-to-eye.
He held up the basketball, “WE challenge you, and your 'gang' to a match.” “WE?” Yoo Bin asked, confused at his
statement. “Look around you,” he merely chuckled, “you dont have to tip-toe to see that, right?” “Tch...” she
laughed at him, and looked around...to find four other. “What's the big deal...?” Sun Ye stepped in, with her sisters
behind her. “THEY want a match,” Yoo Bin answered, pointing to the five other. “Um...” Sun Mi whispered to Sun
Ye, and Yoo Bin, “we have to get home and do research, remember...?” “Oh...!” Yoo Bin chirped up, “oh, yea!” She
turned to the guy that towered over her, and said, “Sorry...! You seem to be out of luck... We have to get home.”
She stuck her tongue out at him, and left, leaving her sisters to follow after. Yoo Bin smiled at her own childish act,
proud of what she had just done.
The key slid into the door lock, and the door opened with a light push. Sun Ye threw her bag into the corner, and
followed after her sisters, to their parents lab. “How are we suppose to get in...?” So Hee asked, examining the
surroundings. “It requires at least 5 passwords,” Ye Eun added. “Five?” Sun Mi turned to Ye Eun. “Ne,” Ye Eun
nodded. Sun Mi turned back to face the door, and the little pad of numbers and letters that it had. She typed in a
couple of numbers, and in a flash, the door opened up. “Yah,” Yoo Bin laughed, “what did you enter in?” “Our
birthdays,” Sun Ye answered for Sun Mi, and Sun Mi nodded. She stepped into the room, and the four followed
after, slowly, examining the surroundings. “Look at all the BOOKS here!” Sun Mi exclaimed happily, running to the
nearest bookshelf. Sun Ye walked over to a bolted shut door, and examined the lock...touching it's every
indent... “Yah,” Ye Eun exclaimed, holding up a sheet of paper, “look at what i found!” They all rushed over to her,
and stared at the sheet of paper that she had spreaded across the table. In big, bold, red letters, that looked
almost as if it was written with blood...were the words: TERMS AND CONDITIONS
“What...is it...?” So Hee asked. “A contract,” Sun Ye answered as she skimmed through the fine
print. “Appa's contract...” Sun Mi added. “Bo?” Yoo Bin barged in, “APPA'S contract...?!” “Why...does he have a
contract...?” Ye Eun asked, staring blankly at the paper before her.
They looked at each other, waiting for an answer... “No one's gonna answer me...?” Ye Eun asked quietly.
A laugh was heard from the doorway, and it took everyone by surprise as they all turned towards the door. “I
would answer,” one of the three guys spoke, “but then...I'd have to kill you guys.”
He motioned for the two by his side to approach the table, where Ye Eun had spreaded out the paper. ”Move away
from the table, and drop whatever it is that you're holding,” the same guy went on. These guys...looked similar to
those from before, those that changed the world for these five... They had on the very same masks, same black
outfit, and...same weapons.
“Wae yo?” So Hee asked, stepping away from the table. Sun Ye shot So Hee a look, meaning, 'SHHH!!'
He pulled out a gun, and pointed it to So Hee, who immediately caught Sun Ye's drift, and quieted. Sun Ye took
advantage of this chance, and used her left foot to loosen the belt on her right foot, that held a dagger attached to
that foot. That same guy, turned the gun from So Hee, to Sun Ye, “You, you're the oldest, right...?”
He smirked, and this smile of his grew broader as his finger tightened on the trigger. “Now...” Sun Ye thought to
herself, “i just need a distraction for him to point the gun away from me..so i can make my move...” “And...” she
smiled to herself, “knowing how Yoo Bin is...she's bound to say something...”
“Yah,” Yoo Bin stepped forward, as if right on cue, “she's not the oldest-”
He turned the gun away from Sun Ye, to Yoo Bin, and Sun Ye immediately followed through her plan. She kicked
her foot up, sending the dagger into the chest of the guy who threatened them, just as he fired. Sun Mi pulled Yoo
Bin down, and the shot hit the guy behind Yoo Bin, who was still examining the papers. His blood splattered on the
paper he held, as he fell forward. The only guy left in the room, saw that he had been outnumbered, and he turned
towards the five, with his hands in the air. Yoo Bin picked the up the gun that laid at her foot, and she pointed it to
him... When no one objected her movements, she pulled the trigger, and he flinched...
“No bullet,” Sun Ye muttered.
He took his chance of escape, and sprinted towards the door. Ye Eun, who stood next to the dead body that once
possessed the gun, quickly knelt down, and yanked the dagger out from his chest. She tossed the dagger to Sun
Ye, who caught it by the handle, and threw it at the guy who was halfway out the door. It hit him from behind, and
pinned his dead body against the door.

For about 4 hours or so, they examined the papers, one by one...word by word... “Ey,” So Hee held up the piece of
paper she'd been reading, “i think I'm on to something.” Everyone look over at her. “Read it,” Sun Mi
laughed, “why are you still holding it up?”
“It says...” So Hee scanned the passages, looking for somewhere to start.... “Oh! Okay! Right here, in passage
132, it says 'THE SCORPIONS, adapted from Jung Han Kyung, who served as the founder since he was ten.'”
“So...” Ye Eun looked up from the paper she'd been reading, “this...'Han Kyung' is...the leader, or what...?” Sun Ye
nodded.
“Do you think...he's still alive...?” Yoo Bin asked. “Of course he's still alive,” Sun Mi laughed, “he's the one
controlling everyone that's tried to kill us.”
“Ah,” Sun Ye cleared her throat, “i was reading Appa's contract, and turns out...he...joined this 'SCORPION' thing.”
“Omo-!” So Hee exclaimed, “are you SERIOUS?! He was PART of it?!”
“That's not shocking...” Ye Eun tossed something over to the table that Sun Ye had been reading on. “What...is
it...?” Yoo Bin made her way to the table. Sun Ye picked it up, and saw that it was the mask from Eun Jae, their
savior from long ago. She also noticed...that...on the inside, near the back of the mask, was a scorpion
badge. “He...was part of the clan...?” So Hee asked, looking up at Sun Ye for an answer. “Ne...” Sun Ye nodded
solemnly.
“Here,” Ye Eun tossed another mask to them, “this one's from one of those guys that we had just killed.”
Sun Mi examined it... “It's the same...”
“What's your point...?” Yoo Bin asked, examining both masks... “Appa was part of the clan, and yet...they killed
him,” Sun Ye laughed a laugh out of anger...a laugh that no one would ever expect to hear... Especially from Sun
Ye. “What else do we know about this SCORPION thing?” She looked up, and her sisters saw that there were tears
in her eyes....
“It says here...” Yoo Bin pointed to the paper before her, “on the terms and conditions part of the contract, that
each member is required to have a tattoo of a scorpion.”
“Appa always wore sleeves...” Sun Ye muttered...

“Eh...?” Sun Mi stared at Sun Ye, confused, “where...?”
“A BAR,” Ye Eun laughed.
“Are...you SURE Sun Mi and i can get in?” So Hee asked.
“Yah, don't doubt me...arasso? I know what I'm doing,” Yoo Bin grabbed her bag, and her car keys, “come on. We
need a break anyways.”
Sun Ye sensed an unwanted presence in the room... Her eyes diverted to the stairs, in time to see a dark figure
quickly disappear into the hall. “I'll be back,” Sun Ye told them, “i need to get something from my room first.”
Before anyone said anything, Sun Ye was already up the stairs, and headed to her room. “Whoa,” Ye Eun
laughed, “she's fast.”
Sun Ye walked into her room, and over to the drawer. On top of the drawer, was the dagger from
before, still stained with blood. She took the dagger off the drawer- “I know you know I'm here,” a voice came
from behind her.
“The question is...” Sun Ye examined the dagger in her hands, “why are you STILL here...?” She stood up, and
made one swift movement, and the blade of her dagger pointed directly to the masked man's neck. “It takes only
one move to kill someone,” a smile crept to the lips of Min Sun Ye.
“Are you willing to, though...?” he challenged her patience.
“Are you really asking that...?” she merely laughed, “Three of your people haven't returned...why do you think that
is?”
He looked at the blade at his neck, and noticed the blood stains. “You stupid son of a bi-”
“How did you get in, anyways?” Sun Ye interrupted him.
He chuckled, “I don't think you should be worried about that-”
“I wasn't gonna worry...” Sun Ye laughed in his face , “i just wanted to say...however you got in-get out the same
way.”
She wiped off the blood on her dagger, onto his black clothings. Before lowering her dagger, she said, “Get out.”
She then lowered her dagger. Immediately, he backed away, and jumped out her window, that she now realized,
had been wide opened. “Aish...” Sun Ye sighed, “I'm locking my windows next time.”She knelt down, and fastened
her dagger to her ankle. Before she left, she closed her window, and bolted it shut.

“Yah,” So Hee looked up at Sun Ye who made her way downstairs, “what took you so long?”
“Yea,” Ye Eun laughed, “ Yoo Bin became impatient.”
“Not my fault...!” Yoo Bin protested, “Yah, Sun Ye, you took forever!”
“it wasn't long...” Sun Ye grabbed her coat.
“Ch...” Sun Mi joked, “you took so long, it seemed as if you were killing someone upstairs.”
Sun Ye joked along with Sun Mi, “Sure...you could say that...i came close...”
They laughed, together, for the first time...in a long time. It felt warm, it felt homely...Then again, it's not home,
without parents... “Come on,” Yoo Bin stepped outside, taking in a breath of the cold autumn air, “let's get going.
We've stalled long enough.”

“Tuesday is DJ's night...?” Sun Mi read the big bulletin that hung on the wall next to their table.
“What is that suppose to even mean...?” So Hee fidgeted with her skirt, shifting it from side to side.
“Tonight's dance night,” Yoo Bin motioned for a waiter to come over.
“Wow,” Ye Eun laughed, “Yoo Bin, you must've been here a lot, eh?”
“Ani,” Yoo Bin blushed, “i just know someone here-”
“Yoo Bin...!” a strange, yet handsome man, came over to the table.
“Ah,” he bowed, “hello there...-”
“Jae Bum,” Yoo Bin stood up, “these are my...friends, So Hee, Sun Mi, Ye Eun. And Sun Ye.”
“Oh...” he bowed, “annyeonghaseyo.”
“So...” Sun Ye looked up at Yoo Bin, “how did you guys...meet...?”
“Oh...” Yoo Bin blushed, “that one day, when i went out, i met him at a bar, and we got to talk...”
“She then found out that i worked here as a bartender,” Jae Bum laughed, “so she just started to come here more
often.”
“Not because of you,” Yoo Bin gave him a light push, “the service here was better.”
“Sure...” he laughed, “sure it was. Tell yourself whatever you want.”
“Whatever bartender, go get us some drinks,” Yoo Bin laughed along with him.
“Mind if i join you guys...?” he asked, before he left.
“Ani,” Yoo Bin answered, “go ahead.”
Without further ado, he smiled, and left to fetch some drinks. When he was well out of sight, So Hee nudged Yoo
Bin, “Yah, what was that all about...?”
“Huh...?” Yoo Bin asked, still dozed out, “what was what all about...?”
“The pushes. And laughs...” Ye Eun demonstrated with Sun Mi, giving her a light push, and a flirty giggle.
“Yah,” Yoo Bin gave Ye Eun a light push, “stop it.”
“Yea,” Ye Eun laughed, “it was just like that push...!”
“Park Ye Eun!” Yoo Bin jumped out of her seat, “i am NEVER taking you here, AGAIN...!”
“Go ahead,” Ye Eun continued to irritate Yoo Bin, “DON'T take me here. You probably just want to be alone with....”
Ye Eun thought for a while...
“Jae Bum...?” Sun Mi finished for Ye Eun.
“Yea!” Ye Eun laughed out loud, “that's his face...!”
“Ye Eun!” Yoo Bin took off her heel, ready to throw it at her, “you-” Someone came up behind Yoo Bin, and took
her heel out of her hands.“Really,” he spoke right into her ear, “you should get kicked out of this bar.”
Yoo Bin turned around, and saw-
“What's your name again?” she looked up at him.
“MY name...?” he laughed, “you don't need to worry yourself about my name.”
“Yah,” she looked around for Jae Bum, “fine, i don't care about your name anymore. Just give me my shoe
back...!”
“Say it...” He held the shoe right over her head, “say the magic word...”
“Yah!” Yoo Bin pushed him, “give me my shoe!”
“I didn't hear the magic word yet...” he teased. Yoo Bin let out a long sigh...”Pl-”
“Seung Hyun!” Jae Bum exclaimed, as he made his way over to the table with the drinks. “Jae Bum...” Seung Hyun
muttered.
“What are you doing here...?” Jae Bum set the drinks at the table, and pulled Yoo Bin away from Seung
Hyun. “What am i doing here?” Seung Hyun dropped Yoo Bin's shoe, and stepped towards Jae Bum, “i can be
wherever i wish to be.”
“Right...” Jae Bum chuckled, “you're disobedient like that...”
“Oh,” Seung Hyun took a step away from Jae Bum, “right. I'm sorry for being so disobedient...but not everyone
can be obedient, like a son of a pinkberry, and sniff up everyone else's ass.”
Jae Bum's fists tightened, and he tensed up. “Deal with it,” Seung Hyun smirked as he stepped forward, “why don't
you be a good bartender, and serve my friends and i some drinks at your bar, before you get fired.”
He left, and Jae Bum turned to Yoo Bin, “Mian he, ah.”
“Ani,” Yoo Bin smiled a light smile as she slid her shoe on, “gwaenchanayo.” He gave a light smile back, and
left. “Wow,” Ye Eun broke the silence, “this bar is just LOOKING for trouble, eh?” Yoo Bin laughed as she took a
seat next to Ye Eun, “Guess so.”
“Ani,” Sun Ye took a sip from her glass cup, “the atmosphere is just like this today, because you're here.”
Yoo Bin laughed, “Sure, that works.”
“Yah,” So Hee complained, “this is so boring. How can you guys stand this sh-” Music blared from the
speakers that stood at the front of the bar, as people jumped out of their seats, and began to dance. “Yah,” Yoo
Bin stood up, “come on. Who feels like dancing?” When no one answered, Yoo Bin pulled Ye Eun up, 'Come on,
guys, lets go dance...!”
“Okay!” So Hee answered gleefully, “lets give it a shot.”
“I...” Sun Mi looked away, “I'm not much of a dancer...person...”
“You're not gonna learn by just watching,” Yoo Bin laughed.
“I don't really want to learn at all...” Sun Mi replied, “dancing isn't my thing.”
“Well then...” Ye Eun looked at Sun Mi blankly, “what are you gonna do the whole time...?”
“I always have a backup plan,” Sun Mi smiled, as she reached into her bag, and pulled out her laptop. “Tell me
you're not serious...” Yoo Bin stared at her unbelievably. “I'll finish umma and appa's research on the chemicals
that were injected into us,” Sun Mi went on, “someone has to do it, right?”
“You sure about this...?” Sun Ye placed a hand on Sun Mi's shoulder. “Yea,” Sun Mi laughed, “gwaenchanayo.”
“Alright...” Yoo Bin patted Sun Mi on the head, “feel free to join us at ANYTIME you wish, arasso?”
“Arasso, arasso,” Sun Mi replied, “just go already... You guys are stalling me on my research.”
“Fine...!” Yoo Bin exclaimed, “i was just TRYING to be nice...!”
“Well stop trying,” Sun Mi laughed, “its starting to scare me.”
“You-” Yoo Bin pointed a finger at Sun Mi, she looked around, and then whispered to Sun Mi, “you're SO lucky
we're sisters.”
“Oh...” Sun Mi nodded her head, “its okay Yoo Bin, i love you too. Now you can leave.”
“It's okay,” Yoo Bin smiled an irritated smile, “I'll be back.”
Yoo Bin stepped onto the dance floor, along with So Hee, Ye Eun and Sun Ye.
/ / / / / /
“Ah...” Sun Mi spoke to herself, “i wonder if anyone's ever made a vaccine for it...? What was the chemical called
again...? It was.... Oh! It was klyti-”
“Annyeonghaseyo...!”
