Chapter 17

Obsessed

HanKyung mind still held the words Zhou Mi said and replayed them through his dreams. He didn’t answer any phone calls made by Zhou Mi, he didn’t know the true reason, but one good reason was that he was mad at him. The phone rang for the ninth time that day in just two hours. HanKyung groaned. “Can’t he just give up!” The puppy next to him lifted his head and barked as if to say no. HanKyung chuckled and petted the puppy. “I didn’t think so either. Come on let’s go get something to eat.

HanKyung and the puppy walked down stairs and into the kitchen. “You’ll need a bowl, huh?” HanKyung looked down at the puppy standing next to Rong Rong’s bowl looking at him. “That’s your brother’s bowl.” HanKyung was about to pick it up when the puppy barked. “What’s wrong?” It barked again. “Okay, okay you can eat out of it.” He placed some food down for the puppy and watched it eat. He looked just like Rong Rong did when he ate. HanKyung sighed, he really missed his baby.

The phone rang again making shouted in frustration. “Hello?” He shouted into the receiver.

“Yah! Do you have to shout!” HeeChul replied.

“I’m sorry HeeNim, but Zhou Mi’s been calling none stop and it’s aggravating.” HanKyung rubbed his forehead.

“He’s obsessed.” HeeChul replied. “Anyway, I just wanted to tell you I’m coming over so HeeBum and puppy dog can play.”

“Sure come on over.” HeeChul muttered an okay and the two friends hung up, he turned to see the puppy on the couch looking at him. “You need a name, what should I call you?” HanKyung looked at the puppy. “Ling Ling?” The puppy growled. “Okay, sorry…do you like…” There was a knock on the door. He walked to the door and opened it, thinking it was HeeChul. He stopped short. “Zhou Mi! H-How did you find my address.”

“I looked it up.” Zhou Mi replied.

HanKyung narrowed his eyes. “It’s unlisted.”

Zhou Mi narrowed his eyes as well. “There are ways, HanKyung.” He pushed pass him and entered himself into the house. “This is a nice place you got here.”

“Why are you here?” HanKyung closed the door and leaned against it.

Zhou Mi turned around and stared at HanKyung, his black eyes seemed darker than they previously were. “Why didn’t answer my phone calls?”

“Because I was asleep.” He lied. HanKyung kept his eyes on Zhou Mi because if he looked away he’ll know he’s lying.

Zhou Mi stepped closer to HanKyung. “Why did you leave.”

HanKyung slid away from the door and towards the kitchen. “I told you, I need to reconcile my marriage.”

“Your still fucking him aren’t you?” Zhou Mi pointed a finger at HanKyung.

“What! No! And why would it matter he’s my husband!” HanKyung reasoned…or rather tried. Before HanKyung had time to consider his next words, blink or even move he felt something tighten around his throat and push against his trachea hard cutting off the air. “Zhou…Mi…stop…” HanKyung tried to pry his hands off him as they tighten. HanKyung stared into his black eyes and no longer saw the Zhou Mi he knew he only saw a complete stranger. “You’re…hurting me…”

Zhou Mi seemed to have heard him because he released him and threw him on the ground. “See look what you did!” He ran a hand through his hair and turned on his heels. “You will be mine HanKyung.” But before he left he took one last look at HanKyung and smirk. “Have you found your puppy, my love?” And with that he left.

HanKyung held his throat and sat up as he pondered the words Zhou Mi said, but he not only focused on that he focused on how Zhou Mi changed. He was no longer sweet he was more aggressive, violent and…obsessed. Then there was a knock on the door and it scared him. What if it was Zhou Mi again? The door knocked a second time, more familiar this time. He opened the door. “HeeChul.”

“HanKyung!” HeeChul hugged his friend “skipping” over the red hand marks around his neck, however, HeeChul noticed, he just decided to ask later. “Where’s puppy dog?”

“Why do you call him puppy dog?” HanKyung smiled.

“Did you name him yet?” HanKyung shook his head. “That’s why?” HeeChul put the grey cat in his hands down on the ground only to have it jump on the couch next to the little puppy that was fast asleep. “Call him something that makes him unique, like grey or ooh! SiHan or HanMi!” The puppy growled at those names even the cat hissed. “Sorry.”

HanKyung chuckled. “He’s fluffy, and has lots of fur maybe I’ll call him…Mao Mao?” The puppy jumped from the couch and came to HanKyung. “I take it he likes it.”

HeeChul rolled his eyes. “So HanKyung, you’re not going to tell me what happen with your neck?” HanKyung stared at his friend in shock. “I’m not that blind, I do happen to notices thing even though it seems like I skip over them. Now what happened?”

HanKyung sighed and told his friend about Zhou Mi and his violent attack. “Honestly HeeNim, I’m scared.” HanKyung waited for HeeChul to say something, but all he heard was the beeping of the phone. “What are you doing?”

HeeChul placed the phone on his ear. “I’m calling SiWon, he needs to come home.”

HanKyung eyes widen as he got up to go after HeeChul. “HeeChul!” HeeChul moved away from HanKyung’s reach. He grabbed the phone and hung it up. “He doesn’t need to know!”

“Yes he does! I don’t think Zhou Mi’s going to stop this.” There was silence from HanKyung. “What if the next time he kills you?” HeeChul’s eyes watered. “What am I going to do-What is SiWon going to do!?” HanKyung collapsed in the chair and covered his face. What will SiWon do? “He needs to come home! He needs to be with you and protect you. I’m telling you as a friend.” HeeChul blinked back tears. “I’m sorry I forced you into dating Zhou Mi, I should’ve never done that, I regret it all.” HeeChul got on his knees in front of HanKyung and hugged him. “But you need SiWon…you need to forgive him.”

HanKyung wrapped his arms around his best friend. But he didn’t say anything, HeeChul’s words went straight to his heart and his heart told him he was right.
