“If you really love her that much then just give them the money,” she suggested.
Something seemed different about Amanda today. She would always bad-mouthed Jenny each time, but she didn’t today, instead she seemed rather calm. “I’m warning you now, Amanda Lok, if anything happens to Jenny, I won’t let you get away.” He left furiously.

He arrived at the abandoned storage area which had become a wasteland. Walking around in search of Jenny, he finally found her tied up to a pole. He rushed up to her aid.
“Jenny, are you okay?” Justin asked as he pulled the piece of cloth out of her mouth. “Did they do anything to you?”
“I’m Amanda” she managed to cough out.
He was bewildered, “Amanda?”
“Justin, just leave now.” Amanda begged.
“Leave? But what’s happening? Who tied you up? I got a call that Jenny was kidnapped? Did they take you instead?” Question after question came out of Justin’s mouth. That could not be true though, he had just seen Amanda the day before in her office.
Amanda was only able to shake her head, “No, it was Jenny who….”
“Justin” another voiced called out.
He turned around, “Jenny?” he looked at the two women whom he was standing between. They looked exactly alike; they were dressed exactly alike, they even had the same hairstyle and everything. Only the woman standing further away, who just spoke, had on dark eye shadow, black fingernail polish, and was holding a gun in her hand.
“Justin, I feel hurt” she said placing one hand over her heart, “We were together for over three years and you can’t even recognize me and tell me apart from her?”
“Jenny, why are you acting this way? I don’t understand.”
Jenny scoffed, “Jenny, I don’t understand.” She mocked, “Justin you’ve always been so gullible.”
Justin frowned as he could not comprehend why sweet, innocent Jenny was speaking in such manner, “What are you talking about?”
“Why do you think I was with you to begin with? What did you think I wanted?”
“You only dated me because…”
“Of course it was because you had money, and it was what I wanted. Why else did you think your parents didn’t want us together? It was because they knew my background. Four years ago, they gave me money to leave you. It was quite a handsome fee so I accepted it and left.”
“You lied to me, but why?” He questioned
“I wouldn’t call that lying, Justin. I would call it acting,” she answered. “Did I never tell you that I was in the drama club back when I was in high school?”
“If you didn’t love me, then why did you come back after four years?”
“Why else? I came back to get more this time. Everything would have gone so well if my sister hadn’t been so soft hearted.” Jenny snickered, “I can’t believe the silly girl actually fell in love with you.”
“Your sister?” Justin was becoming confused.
“You really thought we weren’t related? Did you really think that there is such coincidence in the world that two people can look exactly alike?”
“When was it you and when was it Jenny?” Justin asked not taking his eyes off Amanda.
“It was me from the first day we met in your office until that day when Jenny appeared in the wheelchair at the restaurant.”
“All of it has been a lie? I’ve just been played this entire time?”
Amanda shook her head, “No, Justin…” tears were welled in her eyes, “Let me explain.”
“So everything was planned all along?” Justin questioned.
“Not all of it, I was actually planning to go look for you, but I happened to meet Amanda one day and learn that she was working with you. Coincidently, I found out that she was fond of you. I came up with an even better plan.”
Justin thought back to the first time when Amanda reminded him of Jenny, “It all started that night, when we stayed late at my company and I drove you home. All those small gestures, you did it on purpose…”
“Of course I taught her all that, I just had to make her remind you of me. My little sister sure does learn quickly. She’s quite intelligent too. Did you know she paid her way through university by scholarships and work studies? College graduate.” Jenny snickered again, “Bright future ahead of her. She’s always been the lucky one.”
“Why did you do it?” Justin asked looking at Amanda with hurt in his eyes.
Jenny answered for Amanda once again, “Do you think she did it voluntarily? Of course I made her do it. I pulled a simple guilt trip and I was able to manipulate her at the tip of my fingers.”
“I don’t get it.” Justin said.
“Our family wasn’t rich, so Amanda was sent to live with our grandmother when she was younger. That year we were fifteen, our grandmother called to tell us about sweet little Amanda getting a scholarship to go study overseas. Our parents were ecstatic; they went to go visit her but on their way there, they got into an accident. If it weren’t for her” Jenny pointed at Amanda, “I would still have my parents!”
Amanda felt ashamed, but Jenny was right, she was the cause of their parents’ death.
“Why didn’t you just come back directly?” he asked Jenny. “Why all the games and lying? Why did you pretend to be Jenny?” His question directed towards Amanda.
“I wanted to make sure that I still held that same spot in your heart, so I made Amanda get together with you. She told me that you didn’t like her, but I didn’t believe her, so she told me she would prove it to me by becoming me. I would watch you guys occasionally until I was satisfied. Her plan was that we would switch, but I had a change of plan and I wanted to get rid of Amanda Lok once and for all by making you hate her. Mandy did really love you, if you couldn’t feel it. She tried to make me stop, she was willing to give me any amount I wanted; too bad what she had wasn’t enough”
“If it’s money that you want then take it” Justin thruster the briefcase of cash to Jenny.
“That’s so kind of you, Justin, but I thought you loved me. Are you sure you want me out of your life forever?” Justin gave her a disgusted look.
Amanda took the chance while Justin was looking at Jenny and had become too absorbed with what she was saying. She hit him on the back of his head. He fell on the ground unconscious.
“You better leave now.” Amanda advised, “before Justin wakes up.” Jenny aimed the gun in the direction of Amanda and Justin. “Jenny, what are you doing? I thought we had said that you wouldn’t hurt Justin once you got the money.”
“Tisk tisk, Amanda. Did you really think that I would be so easily satisfied?”
“I should have known. What more do you want?”
“I want the money,” her lips curved into an evil smile, “and I want Justin.”
“You want Justin?” Amanda asked in disbelief.
“Of course, I met him first, and he loves me. You owe me, Amanda Lok! You killed my parents!”
“No, I don’t owe you anything anymore!” Amanda yelled back. “I am not going to let you use me anymore. Just leave now before the police come.” Amanda advised
Jenny started to laugh, “Leave? And lose everything? I think not.”
“Jenny, I’m begging you. I’ll give you the money and if that’s not enough, I’ll send you more later; I promise.”
Jenny laughed, “Why should I leave? I’ll be getting everything I want by just getting rid of you.”
Amanda strengthened up once again, “No, I am not going to let you dictate and control me anymore. And I definitely won’t let you have Justin.” The two women began to wrestle and in the mist of all the commotion a bullet was fired from the gun.

She kept a hand over her wound that was gushing with blood.
Amanda gasped, “Jenny, are you okay?” Amanda rushed over to Jenny’s side, “Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. I’ll call an ambulance.”
Jenny shook her head, “No, I don’t need you to do anything. You’ve ruined my life.” Jenny blamed.
“Jenny, let me help you.” Amanda offered.
“Like you would help me after the way I’ve been treating you.”
“You’re still my sister.” Amanda reminded, “We’re still family.”
Jenny laughed softly, “It’s cold, Mandy.”
Amanda cried, “Don’t talk anymore, Jenny. You’ll be okay.”
“I’m sorry,” she whispered. Those were the last words from her mouth.

Justin walked into Amanda’s hospital room, “How are you feeling?”
She smiled weakly, “I’m okay, just a few cuts and bruises. How about you?”
“I’m fine too.” He sat on the edge of her bed.
“Justin, can we forget the past and pretend none of that had happen?”
He shook his head. “What has happened has happened and it will always be in our memories.”
She looked down sadly, “I didn’t think so.” She looked at him and tried to force a smile on her face, “I understand. You have every right to hate me, I know I deserve it. I lied to you, I hurt you…”
“You didn’t let me finish; we can always start over. I don’t believe I know you, miss. My name is Justin Cheung Ka Jun.”
Amanda looked at him with confusion. He finally broke into a smile. Amanda returned his smile with an even brighter smile, “It’s nice to meet you, Justin. My name is Amanda, Lok Man. You can call me Ah Man.” She put her hand out for a handshake.
Instead of shaking her hand he pulled her in for a tight hug. “I feel like I know you, yet at the same time, I feel like you are stranger to me.” Amanda began to panic, she did not like the sound of this. Justin paused and finally continued, “Don’t ever leave me again, I want to use the rest of my lifetime to get to know the real you. I love you.” he whispered in her ear.
“I love you too,” she whispered back.
