(Shawn's cellphone was ringing and Shawn picked it up.)
Shawn : What's up, Charlene?
Sa : (sobbed) Shawn ... (sobbed)
Shawn : (worried) What's the matter, Char? Why are you crying?
Sa : (sobbed) Can you come over? (sobbed)
Shawn : (looked at his watch) It's 10 already ... (Charlene cried a little harder) Ok, I will come! Stop crying now!

(Shawn rang the dorrbell when he arrived at the front of her house. Charlene, with her eyes red from crying, appeared at the door after Shawn rang the bell for the second time and lung at Shawn.)
Sa: (sobbed) Shawn...(sobbed)
Shawn: (had no idea what's wrong with Charlene) It's alright. It's alright, now. (still holding Charlene and, in a way, dragged her inside the house.) Ok, sit down now. You're choking me, girl! *cough*cough* (after Charlene settled down) Here, I'll lent out my shoulder to you for free today. (Charlene leaned on his shoulder and kept sobbing) What's wrong, now?
Sa: (cried even harder) Steven...(sobbed) Steven...he...(sobbed)
Shawn: (all alert) He didn't cheat on you, did he?
Sa: (stopped crying and look at Shawn) Are you trying to imply that I'm stupid enough to fall into his traps?! (mad now) Well, for your own goodness sake, no!
Shawn: Wow! Calm down, man. Just trying to know what happen.
Sa: (began to sob again) I should have listen to Kary and Gillian.
*Flashback*
Sa: (talking to Steven on her cellphone) Hey, Steven, wanna come watch a movie with me?
Steven:: I can't, sweetie, I have tutoring right now.
Sa: Ok, fine, I'll find someone else then.
(Just then, Charlene passed by a shop and saw Steven shopping with 2 girls with his hands on their shoulders.)
Steven: Charlene? Are you still there? (shrugged and hung up)
(Charlene went into the shop and stopped Steven and his girls.)
Sa: I thought you said you were tutoring.
Steven: What do you think I'm doing here?
Sa: With two girls shopping in a shop!?
Steven: Look, I'm tutoring these two how to be good girls.
Sa: Answer me, Steven. What am I to you?
Steven: Just another girl with an extraordianry naive mind.
Sa: Have you ever consider me as your girlfriend?
Steven: Nope!
(Charlene rushed out of the shop and wiped the tears off her face while Steven just kept on going with his girls.)
*End of flashback*

(Charlene got up and yawned as she stretched. Then she looked back at the 'thing' she was sleeping on all night.)
Sa: (her thoughts) I've been sleeping ON him the whole night?!

Shawn: (yawned and stretched) Charlene, you have such a big head. My shoulder hurts really bad now.
(Shawn sat up on the couch, and Charlene came out from her kitchen.)
Sa: If you can just be quiet for one more second, I'll fix you a breakfast for free today.
Shawn: I'll take a little nap then. (lay down but then sat up again.) Um, Charlene?
Sa: (irritated that he kept interrupting her) What?!
Shawn: You're not going to poison me, are you?
Sa: Do you want breakfast or not?

Sa: (came out of the kitchen with a plate full of edible things) Breakfast ready! (walked over to Shawn's place after putting down the plate of food) Get up you lazy cat. (tried to pull Shawn up)
Shawn: My whole body hurts! Can't move.
Sa: Urg!! Here, sit up, man!
(Shawn sat up and Charlene began to massage Shawn's shoulder.)
Shawn: For once, you showed some gentleness that a girl should have.
(Right after he finished his statement, Charlene punched him on his head.)

(Charlene went over to Gillian's house after Shawn left her. It took Gillian a while to answer Charlene at the door.)
Sa: Where were you last night when I need you the most? (noticed Gillian's eyes were red) What's the matter? Were you crying? Where were you crying?
Gill: Nothing. Come on in, Char. (They walked into Gillian's living room.) Have you eaten breakfast yet? (Charlene nodded) Well, I'll fix you some tea, then. (Gillian headed towards the kitchen, but Charlene stopped her.)
Sa: What's the matter, Gillian? (Then, tears began to roll off Gillian's face.) It's alright, Gill. It's alright. (and Charlene wiped away Gill's tears and hugged her.)
Gill: No, it's not, Charlene. (sobbed) He never cared about me. (sobbed)
Sa: What did Edison do? I thought you two were going along pretty well. What happened?
Gill: He thought I was just like all the other girls at school and wanted me to sleep with him. (cried even harder) I wouldn't have been this mad and hurt if he didn't lie to me and ask me first.
Sa: (patted Gillian) It's alright. You still got your best friend here. But I never know Ed was such a perverted guy! Guess we both lost our guys yesterday.
Gill: (looked at Charlene) What?!
Sa: Oh, Steven dumped me yesterday. (looked up at the ceiling and thought about it again) Well, not quite. He never thought I was his girlfriend.
Gill: Oh my god! Why didn't you call me? (then turned on her cellphone)
Sa: no wonder you didn't put up the phone. You got the phone off the whole night?
Gill: Sorry, but I didn't want Ed to call me. (hugged Charlene) Hope you're feeling better now.
Sa: (gave Gillian a big cheesy smile) I called Shawn very late last night, and he came over and I slept on him the whole night after crying myself to bed. (Gillian's eyebrows went up and smiled) Ok, noperverted thoughts, please. All he did was comforted me. That's all. Know what? He's actually a nice guy after all.
Gill: You should have known that a long time ago.
(Charlene shrugged, and the two friends told each other what happened last night.)

- Sunday -
(Shawn and Edison were playing basketball at a nearby basketball court since they would be playing the final game of their season on Tuesday. The court was empty with no one to cheer on them.)
Shawn: Where's Gillian? She's always here to watch us practice before a big game.
Ed: We got into an argument, and we've broke up.
Shawn: (Edison attempted to score, but the basketball didn't go into the basket) What?! (pushed Edison backed) Are you crazy? After all the trouble the two of you got through? You two were fine when I left you after the movie.
Ed: So? You never know what will happen next anyways!
Shawn: What happen? Don't tell me you're trying to cheat on her. (when Edison refused to look at him in the eyes, Shawn pushed Ed so that he fell on the ground) What do you think you're doing? Playing around with such a nice girl? (walked away) I'm disappointed in you, Ed. After seeing you begin so gentle and sweet with her, I've never thought that you were just playing around with her to get what you wanted.
Ed: I wasn't! I really do love her.
Shawn: After what you did, I don't think so!
(Shawn left Edison sitting in the basketball court.)
Ed: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Gill. (began to sob)

(A week past since the two incidents occurred. Charlene and Gillian avoided as much as possible from seeing the two guys. Charlene pretty much got over with Steven, and she had no feelings towards him anymore when she encountered him at school. In contrast, Gillian was still depressed over Edison, and she wished she had never known him or even started this relationship with him.)
Sa: Poor Gillian. She's so hurt by his retarded action.
Shawn: Afterall, he was pretty nice to her, and Gillian is the longest girlfriend he ever had.
Sa: Do you think Ed meant what he did? I mean, it just may be some kind of hormones he have that started him.
Shawn: Well, from listening to Gillian's part, it seems like he had planned it all along already.
Sa: True, but did you hear his part from his view?
Shawn: I asked him, but he avoided having any eye contact with me and wouldn't answer me. *silence* Hey, Char?
Sa: What?
Shawn: Um...(silence. Charlene looked at him) Wanna watch a movie with me? The one you really wanted to? A friend of mine gave a two tickets and thought you might want to watch it, too.
Sa: Sure, when?
Shawn: This Saturday? Um...I forgot the time though.
Sa: It's alright. Call me when you know the time. (then leaned over and whispered into his ears) You know, what? You don't need an excuse to go out with me. Just tell next time, ok? (sat back down and smiled at Shawn, who's face is all red by now.)

(Gillian was sitting on a swing at a nearby park. She kept on swinging on the swing until a shadow cast over her.)
Gill: Huh? (stopped swinging and looked behind her) Oh, it's you.
Ed: (sat on the swing next to Gillian) Hey, what's up?
Gill: Nothing much.
(Silence fell between them.)
Gill: I need to go, now. My mom is waiting for me upstairs.
(got up and walked away)
(When Gillian left, Edison smashed his hand into the pole that supported the swing. Gillian was hiding in a bush and was crying hysterically.)

(Shawn and Charlene got to the cafeteria early today and was sitting together while they waited for Kary, Gillian, and Kenny to buy their lunch.)
Sa: Oh my god, I love that movie we watched over the weekend. It's such a sad story. You know the guy should choose his ex-girl instead of that b*tchy girl. After all his ex-girl did to make him feel happy...
Shawn: Oh, well, at least they made it stand out. I like the ending the most. Ex-girl found a better guy than her ex-boyfriend. She deserves it.
(By now, their friends were carrying their lunches back to the table.)
Sa: Hey, try my new invention. It's honey-baked chicken wing. Taste it. It's the best one I've invented so far.
Gill: (took the chicken before Shawn could) Where's mine, Char? How come only Shawn gets to taste it?
Sa: Thought you got some last night. Come on, give it back to Shawn, Gillian!
Gill: Oh, so now Shawn's your best friend. (pretended to sob on Kary's shoulder while Kary patter her) I'm awfully hurt.
Shawn: (looked at Charlene and Gillian) Um...Gillian, you can have that one. I can have some later, right, Char? Since I'm coming to your house today.
Gill & Kary & Kenny : Ouuuuuuu!
Sa: (face turned pink) We're just friends, you guys! (whispered to Shawn) Can't you shut your big mouth up?! (Shawn shrugged)
Kary: We didn't say anything. (put one arm around Shawn's shoulder and Shawn looked up) So, how long have you two being going out?
Sa: I said we're just friends!
Shawn: Yeah, just friends. And, I think Kenny is getting jealous (looked at her arm)
(They laughed and giggled throughout their whole lunch time while teasing Shawn and Charlene once in a while. Edison sat at the very far corner table, watching everything his friends were doing. Occasionally, Gillian would glance over at Ed's place, but she never made any eye contact with Edison.)

- Gillian's house -
Gill's mom: Gill, where's Ed lately? I hadn't seen him for a while now.
Gill: (hid herself behind a book she's reading for her class) We've broke up like two weeks ago.
Mom: (sat next to Gill and put her arms around her daughter) Are you alright, sweetie? (put her head on Gill's) I know how it feels. This is your first love. It's going to hurt a little, girl. But after a while, you'll feel silly to keep crying about him.
Gill: I know Mom, but I thought he actually cares about me. But...
Mom: It's alright now. It's alright. Just stop thinking about him. I know it's hard, but try, my sweetie.

(Shawn and Charlene was having dinner together at Charlene's house. Charlene had made a tray of honey-baked chicken wings for Shawn.)
Sa: You can't keep your mouth shut, can't you? Look how they made fun of us during lunch today!
Shawn: Oh, come on, Char. They will know it sooner or later. You can't wrap a fire with a piece of paper, Char.
Sa: Knowing you so long, I shouldn't have said yes to you on Saturday.
Shawn: (walked over to Charlene's place and wrapped his hands around her) But you did, and there's no way you can take that back.
*Flashback*
(Shawn and Charlene were watching the movie together as they had planned earlier the week. During one scene, Charlene laid her head on Shawn's shoulder.)
Sa: Mind if I use your shoulder for a while. My neck is getting a bit tired.
Shawn: (all stiff now) No, course not.
(After a while, Shawn put a arm around Charlene's shoulder. Slowly he tried to reach for Charlene's hand, but just before he got it, Charlene moved her hand away.)
Shawn: (laid his head on Char's) Hey, Char.
Sa: (eating popcorn) Hmm?
Shawn: *clear his throat* (whispered) Wanna be mine?
Sa: (choked on her popcorn and lift her head up) What?!
(People around them were irriated and all said "SHHH!")
Shawn: Never mind. Let's keep watching the movie.
Sa: Alright. (laid her head on his shoulder once again) Actually, you're a nice guy. (now this time Shawn choked on his coke) Are you alright?
Shawn: *cough* Yeah *cough* (laid his head on Char's)
(Shawn tried to grab Charlene's hand again, but was unsuccessful. Just as he thought he would never touch her hand, she grabbed his and hold him.)
Sa: Don't get why you're so scared to hold my hand. There's nothing wrong with it, I think (looked at her hand)
Shawn: (jumped up) So, it's that a yes?
Sa: I guess...
(Shawn danced around in the theater but was stopped by the staffs there.)
*End of flashback*
