***RECAP***
“But I’m your girlfriend, and I should have a say in it too.” Guigui blushed. Aaron’s heart skipped a beat. “Does that mean…?” Aaron asked. Guigui knew what he was intending. She nodded then smiled. “I thought you didn’t want too. What made you change your mind?” Aaron asked. “Well, you’re only helping me make Xiao Gui go away right? I know I can’t do it alone” Guigui answered. “I guess…” Aaron said back.

Time progressed and Aaron had been drawn closer to Guigui. They’re vacation duration was also lessening. There were only a few more days left until they return back home. During the time Aaron spent with Guigui, not once have they encountered meeting with Xiao Gui, making a huge confusion on whether they should still continue on with their plan. Nevertheless, they enjoyed their stay.
RING RING ~
“Hello?” Aaron answered his cell phone, while strolling on the beach with Gui.
“Hi, Aaron?” a girl replied on the other line.
“Yeah…? Who’s this?” Aaron asked.
“It’s me. The girl you saved from the riot a few nights ago.” The girl answered, smirking.
“Oh, is there anything you need?” Aaron asked, being delayed.
“Can you meet up with me? Just to show my gratitude.” The girl smiled.
“Sure? Where and when?”
“Today, after sundown. The John Restaurant. Ok, bye!”

“What was that?” Guigui turned to Aaron. “I don’t know. Just some girl saying thanks for saving her.” Aaron replied, acting cool. “hmm. You saved a life?” Guigui teased. The morning breeze was nice and the beach was empty. The wind blew through Guigui’s hair, while her dress danced. The day was darker than usual. It seemed as if it was sunset already.

@ The hotel room;
“Guigui, I’m going to head out. I have to meet up with somebody.” Aaron called out, putting his sweater on. At night, it was really cold because of the sea side. “Ok.” Guigui simply replied, as she continued to watch a very interesting show on the TV. Aaron headed out.
Aaron shivered then ran to keep himself warm. He browsed the restaurants to find their meet up place. “There it is.” Aaron said to himself. “Excuse me, I’m Aaron. I think I have reservations?” He asked. “Oh yes, sir. Please follow me.” The waiter at the front desk replied. The waiter led him to the table only to find Selina sitting down, smiling. “What are you doing here?” Aaron asked, sitting down immediately. “You seem pissed to find me here.” Selina smirked. “Do you not remember me, Aaron Yan? I’m to one you saved… not to mention that I, too, am your girl friend.” Selina continued. Aaron remained speechless. “Is there… something happening between you and Guigui, because it seems that… you didn’t go back home on the scheduled time.” Selina laughed, knowing a lot about the happenings. “You know what, Selina? This is a waste of time. I’m leaving.” Aaron exclaimed, standing up. “Okay… whatever you want, Aaron. Just remember that I know EVERYTHING about your family happenings. If it spills, then your family is screwed.” Selina replied calmly. “SELINA! Why are you doing this?” Aaron shouted, getting frustrated. “Hmm… I want you to say this…-points to the paper- to Guigui.” Selina said. “What does this have to do with Guigui?” Aaron asked. “If it wasn’t for her, then we wouldn’t be in this mess. You would still be in love with me. But not anymore. You’re in love with Guigui now, aren’t you?” Selina asked. Aaron looked at Selina, speechless. “Thought so. This is what you have to do…” Selina continued.
The night went on. As Aaron walked back to the hotel, tears began trickling down his cheeks. He, for sure, loved Guigui. He would have to hurt Guigui in order to keep his family name clean. He didn’t want to do it, but ever since he’d met her, his life began to change. It wasn’t always about him anymore. He cared about other things, besides himself, which made him really surprised with the change. “I love her. I love my family…” Aaron shouted out.
~Creak~ the door creaked as he entered the hotel room. It was already late. There he found Guigui sleeping on the dinner table, head on a book. He picked her up, and then brought her to the bed. He placed a blanket on her then looked at her for a moment. He walked back to the dinner table, finding a diary. “This must be Guigui’s.” Aaron smiled. Before he closed it, he found an entry that was wet. “She must’ve cried on this.” Aaron said worriedly. He began reading.

Dear Diary,
It’s been a while since I wrote. I was actually happy that I haven’t written on this diary… or else I would see my problems arising. Today, I thought the day would be perfect, as any other day I had with Aaron. But I thought wrong. As soon as Aaron left, I had an attack. I’m calming down now. My sickness is getting worse. I really want to find a cure for this sickness of mine. But I don’t have enough money. Plus, I don’t want to borrow money from Aaron’s family, because he might think that money’s the only reason I became friends with him. Diary, I think I love Aaron. I never thought that I would be in this state, but I now am. I don’t want to die just yet. I hope that there would be a cure to my need of money for the treatment I have to get for my disease.

Aaron flipped through the rest of the writings on her diary. There he found entries all about her attacks. He knew that she was now really sick. He began to cry.
Aaron made his way to Guigui, and then he lay beside her. Aaron hugged her tightly, as he cried. He didn’t want to hurt her, now that he knew that she was born with many problems already. He looked at her, and then kissed her.
“Gui, Ever Since I Met You…”

I hope you guys comment about my story, so I can see if I still have the skills in writing after so long of being on a hiatus. & I am sorry for telling you about the hiatus I was on. :( I've been REALLY busy before my summer break arrived because of all the trips I went to with my class, etc. BUT it has now arrived & NOOO MORE SCHOOL FOR ME :) I have all the time I want to write :)
