“Stan, wear your cap..” Chelsea commanded Stanley as they saw many crowds there. “We don’t want our break-time to be a donkey-work time, right?”
Stanley giggled as he took out his cap slipped on his pocket before. “Yes, Ma’am..” He added.
A few steps ahead they had before a familiar face occurred. “God..it’s Chester..” Chelsea murmured to Stanley as she ducked her head to avoid having the eye contact with Chester. She knew that the Rocky Avenue were always the favourite place Chester would like to hang out to. While Stanley seemed to notice the existence of the pest earlier before Chelsea could have noticed.
“Come on..” Stanley diverted their way to the park, acrossing the street. He was tempted to have another fight with the jerk, but he knew it would just trigger a ‘heat’ between him and Chelsea. And it was the least thing he would want to happen apparently. Thus, he decided to act mature. Fighting not always the way to show that a guy is a masculin right?
“Stan..!” Chelsea let go of his holding on her hand. “I don’t wanna come here..”
“Why?” Stanley questioned lightly, seemed perplex. He didn’t see anything wrong with the tranquil park. Instead, for him, it was the best place for a couple to spend their time together.
“You KNOW why..I don’t have to explain it right?” Chelsea grumbled as the memory of the incidents she expreienced twice on the park visited her again.
Stanley finally realised what made Chelsea didn’t feel like visiting the place. “Come on Chel, nothing would happen..I don’t see any pest here..Even if there is, you still have me right?” Stanley uttered, holding her both shoulder. “Come on..” He offered his hand to be held by Chelsea. Hesitating at first, Chelsea finally gave her hand on Stanley’s.
Stanley could feel her cold and sweaty palm on his. Is she that traumatized? He kept the question inside.
They took the closest bench as their place to sit. “Are you feeling cold?” Stanley finally asked.
Chelsea glanced at Stanley. “Mmh..no..” She said, startling. She was rather quite after they arrived to the park.
But Stanley took off his jacket and put it on Chelsea instead. “Stan, I’m not feeling cold..” Chelsea said, declining the jacket.
“But your palm’s so cold..” He added. “Just wear it on okay? For me..?” He continued. Chelsea stared at Stanley several time before she then gave in.
“You know what Chel..You shouldn’t feel scared or anything..” Stanley began to speak as he dragged Chelsea’s body closer to his. “You know that you have me now..Nothing would happen..” He uttered, trying his best way to convince Chelsea. He had learnt not to use the word ‘traumatize’ on topic as it would just trigger Chelsea’s emotion. She never liked anybody to call her traumatized.
Chelsea’s mind was wandering. How could he read my mind? She questioned herself. That was exactly what she was thinking. She felt so scared and frightened as Stanley brought her to the park again. Well, she had never had a nice experience there eversince. So, who could blame her?
But how stupid she was to still hesitate the situation when there was Stanley beside her? She knew she should’ve trusted him and she knew he was someone she could count on. Her dearest boyfriend..
Her thought causing a smile to curve on her lips. Stanley noticed the smile. “What’s so funny?” He quizzed Chelsea, causing her mind to snap to reality. “Mmh..nothing..” She answered huskily.
“Hey..I’m your boyfriend..You should share every penny of your mind with me..” He moaned mockingly at Chelsea.
“Next time I will..” Replied Chelsea, grinning.
“You..” He tickled Chelsea’s loin.
She screamed out for him to stop his act. “Stan..! Stop it!” She never could bear being tickled by anybody.
Stanley finally stopped the tickle. “You owe me..” He uttered.
“Owe you what?” Chelsea moaned. She never felt she owed anything from Stanley. He added on, “Next time, I’m not gonna share my thought with you..”
Chelsea beamed. “Alright..I don’t mind..” She replied teasingly.
Abruptly, she landed a peck on Stanley’s cheek all in split second. Stanley was rather surprised with her deed. He turned his face huskily to her direction.
“Now I owe you nothing..” She declared as she done, though blushing.
“Owe me nothing? You haven’t even pay..” Stanley rebuffed. All in a sudden, he rested his lips on Chelsea’s. He stopped just then. It wasn’t even a passionate kiss. “THAT is what I call paying..” He declared as he finished with his deed. Successfully causing Chelsea to blush uncontrollably. Great job! Chelsea commented.
“You..!” She was about to say something but she recalled her action. She was still too nervous to even talk to her own boyfriend. The one and only boyfriend that could ever made her blushing occasionally in every instance.
Stanley smiled of seeing how Chelsea got so nervous after the kiss he gave her. He wasn’t feeling that way anymore. Before, he always felt uneasy and bloody edgy everytime Chelsea was around him. It was of course after he realised his own feeling for her. But now, he had made himself feeling comfortable with her presence. He even felt unacquainted if he didn’t find Chelsea around him.
Stanley grasped for some fresh night-air before he talked. “I wonder..” He said. “Will we still be like this when we’re old..”
Chelsea was rather looked perplex of Stanley’s words. She was about to ask for explanation before Stanley continued. “I mean..if we’re already grandpa and grandma..do you think our grandchildren would see us as romantic as this?”
Chelsea, who was keeping herself silence all the while, couldn’t hold her giggle as she heard Stanley’s utterance.
“What is it?” Smiling, Stanley questioned Chelsea as he got himself quite puzzled with her giggles.
“Don’t you feel yourself way too dreaming??” Chelsea talked between giggles. “Don’t you realise that you’re talking about the future that is still faaar way too long..?” Said her.
“Why..? Of course we should think for the future..” He backed himself up casually as he stretched his both arms on the bench’s border.
“But Stan..we don’t have any grandchildren..and we are not married yet..” Again, Chelsea added, still comprised her chuckle in between. “Evenmore..what makes you think I would want to marry you?” She was tempted to tease him.
Abruptly, Stanley diverted his sight to her. He was wearing his solemn eyes when he replied, “I would want to marry you..And I don’t think there would be any chance that I would got rejected..” He talked in full determination as his eyes was staring deeply on Chelsea’s. Blushing for the umpteenth time, Chelsea ducked her head downward. How her heart was beating so fast, Stanley would never know..or..would he? She was trying to control her anxiousness yet she didn’t really succeed.
Gently, Stanley took her hand on his. As if he could feel what she felt just now, he just wanted to give her comfort. And it was true, cause right after his hand and hers unified, the warmth that he had had on him was now encountering Chelsea. She could feel the chemistry and sensation of the little thing Stanley just did. Holding her hand. Just as simple as that. But it was romantic enough for Chelsea, especially when it was Stanley who did that. No.. She said to herself. Nothing would tear us apart..We belong together and that’s for eternity! She was so sure about that. She had never felt that sure about anything before. But now, as if God was whispering it right into her ears, she knew undoubtedly that she belonged to him.
She let go her hand from Stanley’s and surprisingly hugging him tight all in a sudden. “I love you, Stanley..” She said, couldn’t control herself to express how she really felt for him. Beforehand, she would never ever did that to anyone. Saying how she really loved someone right in front of the person. Never even to her parents.
Stanley was feeling relieved of Chelsea’s sudden deed. Though he was surprised at the beginning, but hearing her words just now, he knew that it was for real. And no one would know better of how she got him so in love with her. That made him even wanted to build a baricade so that nothing would harm her. Cause for him, she was the one..and only..Chelsea Tsai that he would love for his entire life.
“You know what Chel?” Stanley begin to talk as they both released the hug. Stroking Chelsea’s hair gently from her face, he said earnestly, “If there is a priest here..right in front of us..I would marry you right away..”
Chelsea released a chuckle. Funny how she felt, cause she was thinking the same way as he just did.

As if the world was made only for the two love birds, they spent their night sitting on the bench together. Gazing at the sky, they searched for the stars. Hardly for them to find a star on a cloudy night. But indeed, they found one.
“There!!” Chelsea yelled cheerfully, pointing to the star, as she was the one who found the one and only star any man on Taipei could view that night. Stanley gazed at it and finally realised how sparkling the star was. “It’s our star!!” Chelsea shouted blissfully. “We should name it..! What should we name it?” She questioned Stanley who was still gazing at the star. Seemed thinking a while, Stanley finally loose an answer. “Nah..Just leave it untitled..”
